On 8/30/2022 I had a filling on the back of one of my upper two front teeth with a dentist at Camino Dental Group. The length of the two front teeth was uneven. Owing to wear and tear, one front tooth to be worked on for filling was a bit shorter than the other front tooth. Besides mending and filling the back of the front tooth, the dentist also made the two front teeth even in length. It created an incredible beautiful result! After the filling visit, I realized that it was awkward to put on my night guard because the length of one tooth was changed. Then, when I requested for the night guard adjustment, the front staff got the first available dentist to help on the job and a different dentist quickly adjusted my night guard to accommodate the new length of the front tooth. I cannot express anymore gratitude for the team (the dentists, the dental assistants and the front staff) at Camino Dental Group for their exceptional and gentle care. My teeth look so beautiful after the visit.

EC Dental has been my dentist for a few years now and once again they did a world class job fixing up one of my teeth - replaced a cracked veneer - looks better than it ever did and yet it matches up fine with my other teeth. This team - Dr. Tan and her assistant - take the time to get the job done perfectly every time and with pretty minimum discomfort on my end. Receptionist always friendly and efficient and there is never a wait more than 5 minutes. Lovely new facilities too.

Suo You Camino Dental GroupBing Ren /Shou Hai Zhe , Wo Men Ying Gai Ji Ti Su Song ! Bu Yao Rang Ta Men De Wei Shan Qi Pian Zi Ji , Shang Hai Wo Men De Bao Gui Ya Chi , Rang Zhuan Qu Bu Yi Zhi Cai ! I had gave them at least 3 start to make sure that my review won't be blocked! Camino Dental group had been using badly, poor x-ray machine to make money for many years. Their dental assistance and other patients had warned them many times about their defective x-ray machine. But they refused to upgrade or bought a good one, because that was the way to make lots of money. Camino Dental group finally decide to buy a better x-ray machine around 2021 only after one of the co-owner, Dr. Brian, has finally got his license to become an implant surgeon in his fifties. They moved their office to the new location in Sunnyvale where there are lots of dental office nearby, in the hope that they would get lots of referral from other dentists in the neighborhood. A good x-ray machine is vital to an implant surgery. They could charge a lot more money for the implant surgery and the new crown, and they finally decide to get a good one. They always charge their patients for unnecessary service, and in turn they would give some of their patients a small discount, and make their patients feel like Camino Dental group are giving them a big favor. I had been their patients for many years. My teeth has lots of problem now. They are not saving my teeth. They destroy my teeth to make money. This couple always talk nicely and made me believe that they were good doctors. They even claim themselves are Christians.

The following is my friend (YYF) her real experience with Camino Dental Group. Her review with Camino has been removed unfairly. I am helping her to re-post it. "A good x-ray machine is vital to the patients. It is used to identify any big issue at the early stage. So, once it was identified, treatment could start asap, and the tooth could be saved. However, if the dentist was using a faulty x-ray machine, and refused to upgrade to a good one. The x-ray image was so blurry that it could not identify any problem, and once the cavity has reached the nerve. The patient has to do the root canal. Then the dental routine checkup for every 6 months is in vain. That is so unfair to the patients. The routine checkup is to help the patients to do any preventive measure. Besides paying for the checkup service, the x-ray charge, if the tooth became so bad, they had to pay for costly the root canal procedures, a new crown, and all the subsequent visits. There are times, when the patients only had 1 cavity, the dentist could claim the patients had 3 cavities, and over-charged them for unnecessary procedures and that was what happened in Camino Dental Group for the past decades until they moved to the new location in Sunnyvale. I (YYF) had been a patient of Camino for almost a decade. For a very long time, I had a very good impressions of Dr. Sheila and her husband Dr. Brian, because they always act very friendly and humble. However, during routine checkup about 10 years ago, I found out that the x-ray image of my tooth was very blurry. I questioned Dr. Sheila about the blurry x-ray image. She told me that it was a digital image that was the reason why it was blurry. I am not in medical field, so I did not question her again until 2018. After I found out other dental clinics' x-ray image was very clear, I came back and challenged Dr. Sheila, and request her to upgrade their faulty x-ray machine. She could not deny it anymore. She remained silence and implied she was not going to take any action. Anyway, to make the long story short, since I had been their patients for 10 years unfortunately, and since they refused to upgrade their faulty x-ray machine. I had lots of problem with my teeth. For 1 single tooth, Dr. Sheila had performed more than 3 unnecessary procedures on my tooth, and she always made my tooth feel very painful after the procedure. Now, the tooth became so week, the tooth had to be extracted and need an implant. In addition to that, she told me to replace a crown which was in good condition. I wrongly believed in her. After the treatment, it became so week that my new dentist told me I need an implant for that tooth. I also had another molar tooth which kept bleeding from time to time, and since they kept using the faulty x-ray machine, it failed to identify the issue early enough, my molar tooth became so bad that it also need an implant. I need 3 implants now with my teeth. I was also wondering why Dr. Sheila made my tooth feel very painful after the procedure, and now my tooth became so week that they all need implant. Is it because Dr. Brian (her partner/husband) has just become an implant specialist. But I will never go back again and would not let them to do the implant for me. If you are their patients long enough, ask them for a copy of your x-ray image which was taken in the mountain view old office, you would find out how blurry the x-ray image were, and Good Luck to all of you!"

The clinic is professional and clean with the state of the art equipments. Dr. Brian Tang has extensive experiences and knowledge in dentistry. He is very patient and thorough. I have been going to him for over 16 years. I only trust him with my teeth. In addition, Dr. Tang & his staff gave away their masks and PPEs to other hospitals when Covid first hit. This generous gesture shows they truly care for people and our community.

The dental assistance who I forgot her name is very quick and on top of things. I get seated right away and get me prepared to start the cleaning every single time I come. Of course, you need to make an appointment before hand. Dr. Jensen is very detailed and care my needs. I have been visiting them for 5 years now. Never get disappointed. Keep it up!

I have been a patient for over 20 years. I have always been treated with with upmost respect and courtesy. Contrary to a previous review, I have always been recommended with the minimal treatment needed. Often times when I complain about a problem, they would ask how much it is bothering me. If it is not bothering me too much, I have always been told that they would just monitor the situation and would provide treatment only if it get worse. I have been referring my family and friends to this office over the years and everyone was happy with their visits. One of my friends needed major work done and had no insurance and was concerned with the cost after she was quoted by another office. I referred her here and the cost was cheaper so she decided to do the treatment and was happy with it. Bottom line, professional and friendly staff, never a problem, which explains why I keep coming back for 20+ years ;)

This dental practice is fraudulent. They are thieves. They tried to take advantage of me by telling me I needed $900 of unnecessary work, assuming I was too stupid or poor to get a second opinion. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. I went in for a cleaning and informed the staff that I would be paying cash as I did not have dental insurance. The dental hygienist was borderline rude when I shared with her that I had not gotten a cleaning in a while. I do not go to medical professionals to be treated as a sub par patient so this did not initially ingratiate me to the practice. According to the dentist, the x-rays shows that I needed 3 fillings, as soon as possible, claimed the dentist. The quote was nearly $900 dollars. I was informed there was an appointment that afternoon or the following week. Shocked at the estimated quote (which was 'reduced' by a measly 10% as a cash benefit), I asked for a week to look for alternatives. I spent a week asking other dental offices for quotes. I was finally recommended another office (Dr. T. Abiog in South San Jose-- there are 2 doctors; a married T. and L.) and took an appointment there, where the estimate was much more reasonable. I had my x-rays forwarded to Dr. Abiog's office. Dr. T. Abiog was unable to see much on the x-rays and had to retake a set of x-rays. When I stated that I had been recommended his office for cost reasons, he waived the cost of x-rays, saying, "I need to know what I'm looking at". After he looked at his (much higher quality --might I add) x-rays, Dr. T. Abiog concluded that the cavities were not nearly as severe as I had been told. I asked why I had been told that I needed 3 fillings if, in his opinion, there was no work to be done. I was practically begging for fillings because I was convinced that I needed them when Dr. Abiog said, "I am a dentist and I work with what I can see. There is nothing that I can see here that needs work. I cannot in good conscience work on your teeth." That was it. I went out to the receptionist, and shocked and relieved, I kept asking why I would be told by one office that I needed to spend nearly $800 (with the 'reduction') and that I needed no work by another. The receptionist quietly shared that, sometimes, dental practices will tell uninsured customers that they need work that is in fact unnecessary because they know they can get away with it. THIS IS FRAUD. Practices such as this despicable one can scam uninsured customers because they are not being held accountable. Doctors and dentists know that insurances do not like to pay for unnecessary procedures. However, in my case, there was no one but non-medically-nor-dentally-trained me to double check that the prescribed treatment was actually beneficial to my health. Additionally, Dr. L. Abiog also had a look at my x-rays and said that unnecessary work is damaging to the teeth and would need more treatment in the future. In other words, she inadvertently explained that Camino Dental Group was creating a positive feedback loop wherein I would continuously need more treatment. If that doesn't sound like fraud, I don't know what does. I assume, when I walk into a health professional's office, that my health is at the forefront of the medical/dental team's mind. Unfortunately, that is clearly not the case at Camino Dental Group. It is possible that this office does not scam insured patients. I was once insured and treated quite pleasantly there. But their behavior towards uninsured patients is unconscionable, unethical, and harmful. I encourage you to NOT SPEND ANY MONEY HERE and further DISCOURAGE SCAMS. (As a side note, I was charged some $40 by Dr. Abiog's office. They have earned my trust and a customer for life.)
