When I was young, I was actually afraid of going to the dentist. So much so that my parents sought out a pediatric dentist. There I found a place where I felt special and my confidence grew. From a fairly young age, I knew I wanted to be a pediatric dentist so that I could ease the fears of children who have dental fears and make going to the dentist a positive experience.
I grew up in Seattle and proudly graduated from Franklin High School where I made lifelong friends and was inspired by great teachers and staff. After completing a bachelors degree in biology at the University of California at Berkeley (Go Bears!), a Doctorate in Dental Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis, and a certificate in pediatric dentistry from Oregon Health & Science University, I returned home to work and be with family.
I practiced for more than seven years in Tacoma before opening my own Seattle Green Lake practice in 1996. I am grateful that my family is just a peaceful walk away, and I have the privilege of providing dental care for children in my community. I love that I love the people I work with, and that we have fun while we work together each day.
Dr. Sata and our team approach dentistry with kindness and understanding. We want our parents to have the tools to prevent decay in their young children, but when cavities occur, there should be no shame in that.
We feel it is important that children learn the skills to have their teeth worked on without fear. Sometimes thats a process that takes time and practice. We want every little boy and girlwho comes in, no matter how they behave, to feel proud of whatever they accomplish.
Our waiting room has a magnetic wall with magnetic dolls to play with, and a wide assortment of magazines for children, teens, and moms and dads. The children can go into our tree madeof fabric and ribbons with tiny lights inside and out, and play with the stuffed animals inside.
As you and your family enter the exam area from the waiting room, you will pass through a door with tiny folded-paper cranes placed inside glass panes. Each one wasfolded by Dr. Sata orher husbandJon.
When a child needs treatment (fillings), we provide nitrous oxide andoxygen during local anesthetic administration, and we have an iPad and headphones so the patient can watch afavorite show. Dr. Sata and our gentle assistants explain the procedures to the patients so they know what to expect, and praise every onewith positive reinforcement.

Dr Sata is amazing! When our daughter had an accident and broke her tooth on a Sunday, Dr Sata met us at her office right away to take care of it. Her tooth was badly chipped and we were worried but Dr Sata was so gentle and kind to our daughter. Our daughter was so worried about going to school with a big chip and Dr Sata made her tooth look great and soothed our daughter's anxiety. This was above and beyond anything we expected. We feel so lucky we chose such a great dentist for our child!

excellent dentist. My son was about to have surgery but she checked him out and gave us treatment, while he was older because of him he wasn't even 3 years old. and right now he is very happy with it and lets me check it out. the doctor is very kind and affectionate I think that is why she gives them confidence and makes the dentist not traumatic for the children

My three kids have been seeing Dr. Sata since they were toddlers and my oldest just graduated from high school (and Dr Sata's practice!). Every one of our experiences with Dr Sata and her staff over the years has been thorough and thoughtful and pleasant, even when it involved pulling teeth. We highly recommend Dr. Sata and her practice to kids of all ages!

Upsides: All employees seemed great, and the clinic's decoration was nicely done for children, also located in a quiet neighborhood. Downside: We are dissatisfied with Dr. Camille and the lack of mechanisms to calm patients with anxiety, such as our little one. Thanks for trying to help, but since it didn't work out after two rounds, we will try with another pediatric dentist.

We love Dr. Sata! My daughters actually get excited about the dentist because they can wear sunglasses and get prizes at the end. They do a good job of making it a fun, gentle experience.

Dr Sata and her team were amazing at handling our crew!! They were able to get our triplets seen at the same time and in the same room! All the techs worked thoroughly, efficiently, and were so very sweet to our boys! This is the first time ever in my life to say this but I'm actually looking forward to our next dentist appt!!!

They were WONDERFUL with my 20 month old daughter. They were patient and gentle and engaging. They showed me how to provide gentle restraint to do necessary procedures and they were quick and efficient and gave her lots of praise and reassurance afterwards. They provided me with lots of helpful info about toddler oral health and tips and tricks.
