Never thought I'd say getting a root canal wasn't a terrible experience but it really wasn't! Great office staff and the doctor was exceptional!

Dr. Townsend is one of the BEST dentists I've ever gone to. My anxiety is out of this world when it comes to dental work. Normally my face is half numb, and I'm automatically hooked up to nitrous for anything in the chair. He did a root canal for me, and I didn't even need the nitrous!! It was the fastest and least amount of pain I've ever experienced before. He was so gentle and receptive to my concerns, not to mention he has the BEST sense of humor! Also his staff is incredible, they make you feel so comfortable. Highly, highly recommended!! ('s from this dental work scaredy-cat)

Dr. Townsend made me watch La Brea, which was far more painful than my procedure. I am truly grateful to him, I was extremely nervous, and I had literally zero pain! I don't know what magic he weaves, but even the shots to numb me didn't hurt. He was extremely focused on making sure I wasn't in pain, checked in with me constantly, and paid attention to if I tensed up in case he hurt me. Having a root canal wasn't my favorite, don't recommend it, but if you have to have one go to Dr. Townsend!

I was treated very well even though I was unable to use the services. Dr. Townsend was honest and didn't press me to have treatment that would not be most beneficial to me.

Dr. Townsend and the staff of Great Northern Endodontics are 100% first class professionals. Yesterday was the second time I have had the privilege of having Dr. Townsend work on my teeth. The first time he repaired a faulty root canal that was performed by a dentist in another State. Yesterday it was to extract a cracked tooth that couldn't be saved . Both times the good Dr. performed the necessary repairs in a painless, professional, and workmanlike manner of which I am most grateful. In addition , in both cases, they got me into see the Dr. Townsend in an expedited manner so as to reduce my pain. I highly recommend Great Northern Endodontics and Dr. Townsend to anyone who needs top quality Endodontics in a clean professional and well maintained facility. Dr. R. S.

I went into my root canal procedure with an understandable amount of trepidation, but I needn't have worried. Dr Townsend was optimistic, extremely efficient, thorough and explained everything he was doing beforehand. His hygienist was upbeat, calming, and gentle as well. They both went out of their way to make me feel safe, calm, and in good hands. Plus, I got to watch an episode of Monk on the ceiling TV-- a very wise, clever and appreciated distraction!

Fell asleep during my root canal! Now that is one hell of an endodontist. AND he bought me lunch because I had a root canal on my birthday. All of the staff is just great!

I can say, without a doubt, this was the most comfortable and pain free experience I have ever had! When I say I didn't feel ANYTHING that is true from the beginning to end. His entire office were kind and made it clear that my comfort was there number one priority. 10/10 for me!
