Our practice has been in operation for more than 70 years as a trusted source for dental care to generations of individuals and families living in Slidell and throughout the Greater New Orleans area. We enjoy building long-lasting relationships with our patients and helping people feel at ease about going to the dentist.
Starting with Dr. Louis Grush, through the career of Dr. James Tomaszewski, and now with Dr. Stephen Tomaszewski, professional mentoring has helped maintain the continuity of our high standard of care and level of expertise at CCFDentistry. With shared passions for both teaching and their profession, all 3 dentists have also spent time on the clinical faculty at the LSU School of Dentistry.
We stay up to date with the latest knowledge, treatment techniques, and technology. While weve always had high standards of cleanliness, sterilization, and infection control, following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, weve advanced our methods and improved our clinical facility so that it is an even cleaner, safer environment. Dr. Steve became a dentist in 2004 and has been the owner and operator of Camellia City Family Dentistry since 2010. He has a warm bedside manner and is devoted to earning the confidence of his patients. His reputation for providing beautiful cosmetic care and his success with helping people reach and maintain good oral health has led to him being voted year after year as one of the best dentists in Slidell and the greater New Orleans area.
Early in my career, I had an advantage of working alongside my father as well as many other skilled dentists and specialists. That period of being mentored accelerated my development as a young doctor and gave me a stronger foundation of experience
Pam has been a dental hygienist at CCFD since 1994 and spearheads our efforts to always improve patient care. She graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a BS degree in Dental Hygiene in 1993. She is married to her husband, Bobby, and together they spend most of their time cheering on their 4 children in their various activities. When she has time to herself, she enjoys jogging, exercising, or shopping.
Sue has been with CCFD for more than 15 years. She was a long-time clinical assistant and now serves as our Patient Care Manager. She started working in dental care in 1983 and received her CDA certificate from the LSU School of Dentistry in 1985. Sue and her husband Mike have 2 daughters. She enjoys going to the beach and visiting with family.
Jennifer has been a member of our team since 1998 and has worn many hats over the years. Today, she is our experienced administrative leader and patient care coordinator. She and her husband, Andre, have 4 children and are devoted baseball fans, spending countless hours supporting their kids at the ballpark. When Jennifer has free time, she spends it by reading or going to the movies.
With CCFDentistry since 2015, Taylor received her Dental Assistant Certification in October of 2014 from the Fortis Institute Dental Assistant program in Pensacola, Florida. Taylor is a great asset to the team with her amazing ability to help others feel completely at ease in her presence. These qualities make her a natural when it comes to patient care and service. In her free time, Taylor enjoys visiting her family and friends and soaking up the local culture of New Orleans.
Katherine graduated with an RDH from the LSU School of Dentistry in 1995. As a long-time patient at CCFDentistry, the opportunity to add her talent to our team came in 2020. She and her husband, Mike, have three children and reside in Mandeville, where she enjoys spending time with family, painting, and illustrating; she even has her artwork featured in a number of books!

It is always a pleasure for me to see Dr. Steve. He is very knowledgeable about the new advances in dentistry. If I have any questions about procedures. He takes the time to explain everything to me. I Also want to mention, his hygienist Pam., and Jennifer his office manager. They are excellent, at what they do. Patient care is their priorty and it truly shows. I am looking forward to my next visit. Also getting to know Rochell and Megan better. I highly recommend Camellia City Family Dentistry. They truly care about the patients and thier dental needs. First of all I'm not sure how serious people take their dental health but I like to think that I try my best to keep our family with a healthy mouth. After constant failure in trying to find a good dentist for my family I decided to give this dentist office a try. I was impressed with the Doctors bio which is what initially affected my decision to try it out. My 15 year old daughter could not stop talking about how wonderful her experience was and how she did not want to go to any other place after having being seen at Cameilla Family Dentistry. The environment was very calming, clean and sanitary. More importantly the Doctor seemed very knowledgeable in his work and thorough. The office staff was also wonderful. Thank you all for your professionalism as well as skill set. I'm grateful you are in this business!

I've been going here for 34 years and even though it's not owned by DR. T anymore his son now owns the practice DR steven takes the time to sit down and talk to me that means a lot to me I still receive the same quality and friendly service that I always have Pam is the best dental hygienist and jennifer is the best up front everyone makes me feel so comfortable I highly recommend this place
