As an Arizona native, Dr. Trent Cox attended high school in Tempe before moving on to Arizona State University. Go Sun Devils!! After graduating from ASU, Dr. Cox took a two-year break from his education to go to the Dominican Republic on a church mission where he enjoyed learning and becoming fluent in Spanish.
After returning to Arizona, he completed four years of dental school at A.T. Still University Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, earning his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree (DMD). Being at the top of his dental class, Dr. Cox was able to continue his education for three years at A.T. Still University Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health to earn his certificate in Public Health, Certificate in Orthodontics, and his Doctor of Health Science degree (DHSc). Taking his education and certification a step further, he also completed the process to become board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.
Outside of practicing orthodontics, Dr. Cox is active in his church and enjoys all outdoor activities. He is an accomplished long-distance runner, having competed in running races ranging from one mile to 100-mile ultramarathons. Additionally, he enjoys the competitive spirt of competing in mountain biking and road cycling races. Outside of his competitions, he enjoys hiking, with his biggest accomplishment of conquering Mt. Whitney and his favorite hiking trails being the Grand Canyon. Dr. Cox loves the process of setting goals and working hard to accomplish his goals.

Dr. Cox considers creating beautiful smiles one of the most fulfilling pursuits in his life as he is helping folks be able to smile with confidence.
Ryan started with Camelback Orthodontic Studio in 2014 and earned his Bachelor of Arts in business management with an emphasis in marketing from San Diego State University in 2000. At our office, Ryan greets all of our patients and makes sure they have an amazing first impression and a great experience on their journey to a new smile. He believes that our work is all about the patients and giving them amazing smiles. He appreciates the chance to be a part of a team that changes peoples lives and gives them confidence through their new smiles. He still gets chills when we complete a treatment and sees how happy our patients are. He always looks forward to meeting new patients and enhancing their smiles.
Taryn has been married to her husband, Ryan, since 2013, and they have a son, Tyson, and a daughter, Marlee. When she is not at work, Taryn enjoys dancing, crafting and trivia. She wants to invite everyone to come and join our family we would love to meet you!
Justin joined our team in June 2017. He brings more than 20 years of orthodontic experience to our office. He has always had a passion for dentistry. He started as an orthodontic assistant while he was still in high school, working for his uncle who was an orthodontist in the Valley. Justin loves being able to utilize the latest technology in the dental industry to make it easier for our patients to achieve their desired smiles.
Julie has been a part of the Camelback Orthodontic Studio team since September 2018. She has over six years of experience in the orthodontic field and enjoys the fun and friendly atmosphere at our office. She always looks forward to helping new patients improve their smiles.
