Dr. Yen has a two-pillar system that sets him apart from the rest. The first pillar is Ethical Dentistry. This means that you will not be sold any unnecessary dental work. Photographs, radiographs (x-rays), and diagrams will be used to illustrate the importance of any recommended procedure. The second pillar is Practicing Perfect. Practicing perfect means that no shortcuts will be taken; from the most complicated implant to a routine cleaning, everything will be done as close to perfect as possible.
Dr. Jessica Sheu is a Bay Area local and completed the accelerated dental program at the University of the Pacific, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the Stockton campus, and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the San Francisco campus. In her free time, she is always trying new restaurants or new recipes as an avid foodie, while staying active with hikes and home workouts to keep off all the extra calories.
As a dentist, she is gentle and calm, yet passionate about oral healthcare and helping patients both look and feel their best. It is of utmost value to her that every patient is heard and understood, in order to establish a feeling of mutual trust, and to work together to allow the patient to make decisions for their best interests. Her goal is to make sure everyones visit is comfortable and that they walk out of the office with a big smile on their face.

I am beyond satisfied with my invisalign treatment and more confident about my smile than ever before. Alex is an amazing dentist, very professional and friendly. I visited Dr. Yen's office recently and found him whilst searching for a new dentist and I can say that I was not disappointed. Dr. Yen and his staff were professional and attentive in regards to giving me a wonderful experience. It is clear to me why Dr. Yen is one of the most popular dentists in the Palo Alto region. Dr. Yen was able to give me different opinions and even suggested some cheaper options when fixing some inconsistencies with my teeth. It says a lot when a dentist goes out of their way to work with patients rather than thinking about the money. You can tell that Dr. Yen is truly passionate about his profession. I drive from Oakland to go see Dr. Yen because I appreciate his approach and attitude toward patients. He is the only dentist I've had who does the cleaning part, which I think contributes to his high attention to detail. I feel respected as a patient when he helps me come to my own understanding of a diagnosis by showing me everything he sees in the photos and making sure I fully understand what is going on and why he recommends what he's recommending. Like many others, I have a lot of built up anxiety about dental work, but I have never felt confused or intimidated or judged in Dr. Yen's office. In fact, he often reassures me that getting caries is not a moral failure on my part and it's totally normal. The combination of dental professionalism and thoughtful communication style makes Dr. Yen's practice a top recommendation.

Alex is great! This October I had an emergency of my wisdom tooth, and Alex arranged a 6 o'clock surgery to take it out! Can't imagine how much main will there be if the wisdom tooth was taken out later.

The thing I like best about Dr. Yen is that he doesn't try to sell treatment. He always has an open dialogue with me and advises, but let's me make the decision. Other than that, his staff is super friendly and very accomodating! 5 stars!

I have been going to Dr. Yen for my teeth cleaning for a few years after he was recommended by a friend, and he has been the best dentist that I have had. He is comprehensive, and clearly goes through every component of my dental hygiene, and what it means both in the short term and the long term. I really like that he neither minimizes the issues to ignore them, nor magnifies them to push for additional services. I would highly recommend Dr. Yen to anyone looking for a dentist.

Alex is the best dentist I have ever seen. Having been a graduate student in Stanford for many years, I feel Alex takes a very good care of my teeth and gives me a lot of valuable suggestions. Right at this dental studio, I got my wisdom teeth extracted and am doing Invisalign; not to mention, regular cleaning per half a year. Strongly recommend Alex Yen to everyone, especially Stanford students with Cardinal Care!

I found my new favorite dental office! Honestly, I don't think I've ever had such a thorough cleaning. Such a friendly staff, beautiful office, and A+ service.
