Uncertain about starting anew, Dr. Norbert Camacho moved to the States at the age of 12 to be with his family. Initially unsureif it was worth it to part away from hisloved ones, he later understood his parents decision to leave Cuba. It took dedication and conviction to overcome the cultural barriers and learn a new language. However, Dr. Camacho devoted himself to his studies & desire to help others in order to compensate for his parents sacrifice.
He was born to a family of physicians in San Juan de Los Remedios, one of Cubas first Spanish settlements, where he spent the first 12 years of his life focusing on school & with the idea of wanting to become an architect.
He continued his primary and high school education in Miami, FL where his outstanding performance and interest in the sciences became apparent. He later embraced the idea of following his familys tradition, allowing him to exploit his artistic hand skills through a career in dental medicine. As a chemistry and psychology graduate from Florida International University, Dr. Camacho decided to become a Florida gator and attend the University of Floridas College of Dentistry, where he excelled academically and in the community. He focused his efforts to grow professionally in dentistry and undertake leading roles as class president and volunteer. Serving others through student government and international mission trips were moments that enhanced his understanding and compassion for cultures. While at UF, he was awarded with the Student Leadership Award by the International College of Dentists for his outstanding leadership while pursuing a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
Graduating summa cum laude from UFs Dental School, he was accepted into an outstanding residency program through the University of Florida in St. Petersburg, FL. In this highly-recognized program, Dr. Camacho treated patients of all ages, who were most medically compromised or with special needs. He obtained intensive training in advanced treatment planning, implantology, cosmetics, endodontics, & periodontal/oral surgery. With a strong education from his alma mater and the direction of dedicated specialists and professors such as world renowned Dr. Pete Dawson, Dr. Camacho expanded his area of expertise with emphasis in comprehensive dentistry.
Since finishing his education & residency program, Dr. Camacho has shared his dental experience at multiple South Florida offices while keeping up to date with the latest dental technologies. In addition to being a member of multiple national & local dental societies(1), Dr. Camacho has achieved the fellowship designation with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) for his successful experience in implantology

Dr. Camacho and his team are the best! I have been coming to him for the past 5-6 years. He's very knowledgeable and very confident in his work. I trust him 100% and wouldn't let anyone else work on my teeth. High- tech office and procedures. You can tell the level of professionalism as soon as you step into the office.

Dental World of Miami is the most professional and quickest dentist I've ever been to! I recently had to get some cavities filled and my sealants done, and the staff there was amazing. Mesha handled the majority of the procedure, and she ensured that I felt comfortable with the entire process. Not to mention--the office is in the Brickell Infinity Building which makes the views from the chair wonderful. I highly recommend this practice!

I thought this office was a good place when I first started coming. I was wrong about that. The doctor did a procedure for me where he said he "saved my tooth" by putting a porcelain cap on it. It was very expensive, initially when he did the procedure I thought wow he did a wonderful job I felt no pain. I had to come back 3 times within 10 months for this issue. First time the cap fell out he just glued it back in without having redone the whole procedure correctly. It fell out again and the second time he didn't even come and speak to me I had one of his assistants put something in my mouth as a temporary fill-and mind you when I had the initial procedure the woman who made the appointment for me DID NOT TELL ME that I was there for a temporary solution. Sandra who handles his billing and appointments is very unprofessional, has an attitude and is very rude. She also told me the office was non profit when I told her I will not be paying for the doctor to fix my tooth when he initially did a bad touch up the second time around ! why do I have to pay for mistakes !?? Also want to point out that the DR is busy and he has his assistants do some of the work. What really upset me was that a medical assistant poking around my mouth until I felt uncomfortable and had to ask her what she was doing and her reply was she was waiting for the DR. to get there. First of all, if I am getting charged insane prices by insurance for dr fees that's who should be looking into my mouth. I am super unhappy with this doctor I've never had a medical assistant poke around my mouth and not even tell me the dr will not be coming or tell me what she will be doing. Sorry his assistant is very nice however she doesn't even have experience, i can tell by him telling her step by stem what to do and so on. This is not the first time this has happened here. He has literally trained people while in my mouth doing work ! Not okay ! Less than a year went by and they tell me I have to pay additional fees to fix my tooth that they did as a favor to me. Why do patients have to pay more money when not even a year goes by? why should patients pay if the DR didn't do the first fix properly ?????? Yes this office is very beautiful, new equipment and the front desk small girl is very sweet however I would RUN from this place. I got my teeth cleaned here as well and let me just say 2 times it was 2 different hygienists. So disappointed by the level of professionalism by the doctor and his team. UPDATE 8/11/21 I had to end up coming back to this office for the 4th time for the same issue because of the procedure that was billed on my insurance. It would have costed me over 1k to fix the damage from my first visit if i went else where. The doctor redid the procedure and it hasn't been a month yet. I am hoping that there will be no more issues and the cap stays put. This time he had a medical assistant who knew what she was doing. I still feel worried every time I eat and its a feeling that I fear will never go away. UPDATE SEPT 2022- The office still contacts me every few months to ask me to update my review. LEAVE ME ALONE. People should know what they're getting into.

I highly recommend Dr. Camacho's Dental World of Miami office for anyone looking for a great dentist. I am from New York and moved to Miami recently. Back in NY, I had such a great relationship with my previous dentist and I knew it would be hard to find a new one in Miami that I would like just the same. Fortunately, I found Dr. Camacho and I am very satisfied with the attention to detail, care, and professionalism that he and his staff have shown during my multiple visits to his very clean and high tech office. Rhonda and Mari are excellent members of the staff and I look forward to seeing them each visit!!

Highly recommended. I moved down to Miami from the northeast and have been looking for a good, trustworthy dentist with a clean office for a while now. There are so many to choose from and not all are the same. I finally found Dr. Camacho and have seen him consistently over the last year for cleanings and checkups. I am so happy with his level of service and professionalism. His staff (especially Rhonda, Mark, and Mesha) are all amazing and welcoming that they make you feel at ease. Going to the dentist doesn't have to be a chore, and Dr. Camacho and his office proves that, day in and day out. :)

Dr. Camacho & Staff: Kudos, you've made me not dread going to the dentist! For years, I saw a different provider and I basically had to take a valium to get through the visits. After switching over to Dr. Camacho, I no longer panic or worry. The office is spotlessly clean, the front desk staff is polite, the office manager is always helpful, and you get seen ON TIME! I know that when I go for a cleaning, I will get a hygienist who will be professional, caring, and thorough. Even reminders for flossing (don't lie, you need to floss more too) are offered without shame or guilt. Treatment for issues is always done with kindness and respect, and an interest in making sure you are as comfortable as possible. No pushy tactics about what needs to be done either. Costs are stated up front, no unreasonable fees. 11/10 - Highly recommended.

I highly recommend Dr. Camacho and Dental World. The office is very high tech and the dentist and hygienists are very attentive and efficient. I never have to wait more than 5 minutes to get taken in after I arrive for my appointments. I've had a wonderful experience since going here. Rhonda who schedules the appointments is also lovely! :)

Dr. Camacho is the best dentist. Period. Extremely knowledgeable, super personable, answered all my questions, his office is super nice and clean (very important to me). His staff, from his front desk, to his manager, to his hygienists and assistant... EVERYONE! Incredibly kind and attentive. Thank you Dr. Camacho, Erika (front desk), Sandra, Mari and Laura! A Bad Experience :( Front desk lady attempted to charge me $50 USD of Copay for cleaning, charge that did not apply per my benefits. They refused to call the insurance company to check, instead pressure me to pay and get the cleaning done. Felt like they wanted to bump up their charges by any means. I could not trust them enough to work on my mouth and walked away, A complete waste of time :(. Hope this review help patients to be aware of these sketchy practices
