Dr. Nicholas D. Wentworth graduated from the University of New England College of Dental Medicine in Portland, Maine, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and completed two clinical rotations in public health settings. Dr. Wentworth relocated to North Carolina after dental school and practiced in Hickory for several years before beginning a transition of ownership with Dr. Randall Perry and forming Calm Waters Dentistry.
Two of his greatest passions are working with his hands and helping others, which makes working in the dental field a perfect fit. Dr. Wentworth is dedicated to providing high quality dental care to all of his patients and is excited to serve both the Mooresville and Statesville communities.
Dr. Wentworth is a member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry, a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, an inductee of Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society, and is in a SPEAR study club. He lives in Mooresville, North Carolina, with his wife and two daughters. When he isnt at the office or chasing after his girls, he can be found barefoot skiing on Lake Norman.
Kristi is originally from Indiana but has called North Carolina home for more than 25 years. Kristi attended Guilford Technical Community College in Greensboro, where she received her degree in Dental Hygiene. Outside of work, Kristi enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. She tries to check off a bucket list destination each year!
Kallai was born and raised in Statesville, North Carolina, and has been on the team since 2013. She started at the front desk and as her interest in the dental field grew she trained as an assistant, earning her Certified Dental Assistant license in 2018. In her spare time, Kallai enjoys spending time with her family and traveling to the Caribbean! She also enjoys hunting, fishing, and football season. Go Panthers!
Dayna was born and raised in Statesville, North Carolina, and has been a part of the practice for over 20 years. You may find her at the front desk or assisting one of our doctors. Her reason for staying around so long is simple she enjoys the work and loves the relationships with our patients! Outside of the office, Dayna enjoys spending time with her three children and watching their soccer and volleyball games.
Michelle relocated from Maine to North Carolina in July 2019. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Science from the University of Maine and became a Certified Dental Assistant in 2012. Outside of work, Michelle loves spending time with her husband and three sons. She loves football and is a die-hard New England Patriots fan.

I had a cleaning done and the hygienist went too deep and got my gums infected. Then they gave my a antibiotic. That antibiotic causes me lots of stomach pain and lots of extra money (it was so bad that I had to see a gastroenterologist, MORE MONEY!!!!).This wasn't the only problem with this dentist, the office staff is VERY RUDE AND smart talking . You shouldn't have to pay someone for them to be HATEFUL to you !!!!

I have been to many dentist in my life and I will have to say that Calm Waters is the best. They treated me with kindness and were very caring. They explained everything that needed to be done, gave me the option to choose what I would like to do, and then we came up with a care plan. I have lots of issues with my teeth and I was very self conscious about it. I look forward to going back and start the process of getting my teeth fixed. So very thankful.

My 9yr old daughter had a skooter accident on a Sunday late afternoon playing with neighborhood kids. There was a lot of blood and a partial permanent tooth missing. A friend reached out to Dr Nick Wentworth and without hesitation he came to the office to meet us. He was SO kind and calming with our daughter. He was able administer several numbing injections and she was at complete ease as he talked her thru the whole process. He bonded the broken piece back and filled the rest of the tooth and it looks FABULOUS! Not only did he calm her with his cool collective bedside mannner he also was able to ease my worry as well. Absolutey a great experience! Thank you Dr Nick!

I am normally a very anxious person when it comes to going to the dentist but Dr. Nick & his entire staff made me feel completely at ease! Will be my forever dentist.

I have been going to this practice for years with Dr. Perry and now Dr. Nick. The transition has been flawless and Dr. Nick is wonderful!!! Also, the staff are always professional and accommodating. I would highly recommend!!!

Dr. Perry sit down with you one-on-one and explains your options to you he does not leave you guessing.I have only heard good news about him which is why I went to see him myself and plan to make another trip back to have more dental implant work
