As a general dentist and co-owner at California Smile, I've been serving the Contra Costa community's dental needs since 2005. I take pride in offering the best in dental care, oral health education, and cosmetic services.
To help patients achieve their ideal smile, I have been Invisalign certified for 14+ years. Through continuing training and education, I can offer patients different methods to straighten their teeth. I love that I can make it easier and more affordable for patients to experience quality comprehensive dental care.
I'm passionate about my work and I'm equally interested in being involved in the community. In my free time I go on dental missions to Asia and I volunteer to provide free dental treatment for low-income families.
Through many hours of continuing education and training I am able to provide comprehensive dental care including dental implants. I have successfully placed and restored over 1,000 dental implants. I love that I am able to give my patients back the smile and function that they deserve.
In my time off I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids. We welcomed our third child in March of 2020. We like going to the local parks and getting to know other families in the area. I also play basketball in the local Pleasant Hill rec league.
I've been working at California Smile for over six years and have been fortunate enough to have made many lasting friendships with my co-workers and patients. I truly love what I do and, love seeing how dentistry can positively change a person's life. As far as my personal life, I love going to the theater to see the latest horror and Disney movies. However, what I love most in life is hanging out with my family and going on different adventures with my husband. Every year, we head toSanta Cruz where he first asked me to be his girlfriend.
I enjoy working with people and being able to help in any way possible. That's the main reason why I choseto become a Dental assistant. It gives me the opportunity to better serve and educate patients on how to keep their healthy teeth. When I'm not working, I spend a lot of time with my husband and twelve year old son who loves to play soccer. I love to draw and paint. Currently, my plan is to go farther and study dental hygiene. By doing this, I will have a set of skills that I can use to serve my community one smile at a time.

I was greeted Pleasantly at the front desk. I waited barely 3 minutes to see the dentist assistant who took an x-ray. The dentist came right away. He was kind and listened well to what I had to stay. I felt confident with his assessment and I will definitely go back.

If your looking for dentists that are really great and dedicated to to their profession you picked the right place. I came to this dental practice over 6 years ago and I will honestly say that the dedication that my dentist has for her patients is amazing. I also brought my 87 year old dad into this dentist practice and he said they did a amazing job on cleaning his teeth he had left. The best part of going here is they also do orthodontist work too. My youngest daughter is working now with them on braces. I won't go anywhere else....and if you try them as a new patient....you will see why.

My family, along with my siblings' families, have been going to these wonderful Dentists for many years. Even though we live in Santa Rosa, it's worth the drive to have skillful and patient dental services performed by Dr Son and Dr Pham. They have a terrific knowledge of dentistry and a very friendly staff.

Super wonderful experience love that they accept our insurance and said they accept almost all dental insurance Also love the teeth cleaning by the lady she was very gentle and caring on my mouth Very good appointment process when I called and lots of reminders so I don't forget about it and the reminders help me organize my week The bonus there kid friendly atmosphere lots of toys to keep the little ones Entertained long enough

Dr. Son is a professional dentist, he knows what he is doing and is very skilled and experienced. Dr. Son helped me with a tooth that was killing me and he was and he was able to take it out in a flash with no complications and at a VERY affordable price. The staff is very friendly and welcoming as well. He is also very patient and answered all my questions. Thank you so much Dr. Son i am very happy!! I'm updating my review because I got bummed down at my last visit. I saw Sr. Son for everything and I really like him, he's super professional and helpful but then I wanted to go back to see him again because I know i need implants but they told me I couldn't see him for some reason and saw the other doctor, I can't remember her name and I was disappointed at that visit which was my last. She told that they just couldn't do that service for me and I really don't know why because Dr. Son did tell me that I do in fact need implants so I was just trying to get those done with him but the other doctor said that they just can't and referred me to another specialist not sure why and they just wouldn't give me an appointment with Dr. Son and I really don't know why, I never caused any trouble or was ever due to them, in fact I referred many many people over to them. I referred my husband who got a couple treatments that cost a lot of money and other people and never get even a thank you but I don'treally care about that. So I kept asking an appointment with Dr. Son but just wouldn't so to me it just felt like they didn't want to see or treat me anymore and makes me feel really sad because I really like them but I guess I will just get my implants elsewhere.

Dr. Son is honest, caring and his dentist office has the state of the art dentistry equipments. The staffs are always courteous. Last week my gums was swollen after I ate the hard cashew clusters and I worried something seriously happened to my teeth. After the X-ray, Dr Son informed me that my teeth are okay it's just my gums reacted to hard objects poking at it. Thank you Dr. Son!
