Dr. Karen E. Calef is a native of Connecticut, having grown up in the Hartford area. She received an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1980. She received a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Eastern Connecticut State University in 1987. Dr. Calef obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and completed a two-year orthodontic residency (Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies) at Boston University in 1993.
Dr. Calef has been in private orthodontic practice since 1993 and in the dental field since 1980. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and the Connecticut State Dental Association.
