Dr. Caitlin Stangel Batchelor, a native Virginian, graduated with an undergraduate degree in History from the University of Virginia, and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth Universitys Medical College of Virginia. She completed a two-year post-graduate General Practice Residency at Wake Forest University Medical Center, where she gained considerable experience in all aspects of general dentistry, with a focus on hospital- and private practice-based dentistry. Dr. Batchelor worked in dental practices in Warrenton, Virginia and San Francisco, California before joining this practice in 2013. She loves individualizing care to the specific needs and desires of her patients, taking the whole person and their unique qualities into consideration. Dr. Batchelor currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Dental Association, the Board of Directors of the Harrisonburg Rockingham Free Clinic, and is the past president of the Shenandoah Valley Dental Association. Dr. Batchelor has been inducted as a Fellow in the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists, as well as granted membership into the Pierre Fauchard Academy. She has seen how a healthy, beautiful smile can change a patients life, and would be glad to share with you how it can improve yours.
Dr. Kelsey Rockey graduated with a degree in Biology and a minor in Hispanic Studies from Boston College. Dr. Rockey earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University Health Science Center, San Antonio, where she graduated with distinction and multiple awards in leadership, research, and restorative dentistry. Dr. Rockey went on to complete a competitive residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry, which included training in IV conscious sedation, complex treatment planning; including esthetic and implant dentistry, periodontics, and oral surgery. Dr. Rockey has been practicing dentistry in the Harrisonburg, Virginia area for over 5 years, and greatly enjoys getting to know each of her patients and forming long lasting relationships.
Dr. Rockey is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Virginia Dental Association. She believes that evidence based dentistry and continuing education are essential to providing the best possible treatment and comprehensive care for her patients. She is committed to providing quality care and doing it in a personal, gentle manner.
Dr. Rockey and her husband Carl love living in downtown Harrisonburg, near the JMU campus, where Carl is a professor in the College of Business. In her free time, Dr. R enjoys great food, hiking, travel, and hosting friends and family accompanied by her two cats, Tex and Tamale.Dr. Rockey is looking forward to meeting each of you and sharing her passion for healthy, beautiful smiles.

Hands down the most professional and welcoming Dentistry practice in the Shenandoah Valley. Dr Bachelor and her incredible team of practitioners provide extremely thorough and gentle care. Highly recommended.

My first visit to Dr. Batchelor this afternoon. The staff were great, the young woman that took my x-rays and prepped me was thorough and friendly. Dr. Batchelor did a fantastic job in cleaning my teeth. Probably the most thorough cleaning I've had in years. Aside from that, she was friendly, communicative and explained all options in detail should I need any work in the future to correct potential problems that may arise. I would not hesitate to recommend her for your dental needs.

I absolutely loved my first visit here! Every staff member I met today was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, including Dr. Caitlin Batchelor herself. The office itself (with the two black labs help) has a home like feeling which made me feel so comfortable being there. I plan on going here for years to come and have already started to recommend them!!!

This dentist office was awesome.. I am petrified of dentist plus on top of this I had a toothache that had started Christmas Eve. The dentist I go to was closed so I found Caitlin Batchelor 's office open and they could see me. Ms Batchelor was so gentle and concerned about the pain I was in . She had my tooth out in no time and I didn' t feel it. I would give her a 10+ if I could. They were so kind . She called me the next day to check on me and to see how I was feeling . I'm very grateful for her dedication and service .

If you have a dental emergency DON'T call them!! They won't help or even give advice if you aren't on their schedule! They were in as usual on the day after Christmas but refused to even talk to me for TWO WEEKS!! I was in town for Christmas and unfortunately had dental emergency. I was so glad to find someone actually in and seeing patients during holiday but they clearly do not care about people! One star is too good for these uncaring so called dentists!!

Even after having not been to the dentist in two years I did not feel judged or pushed and they were able to kindly and completely take care of problem. Each person I spoke to had a wonderful demeanor and genuinely seemed helpful and knowledgeable, making sure I knew what was going on every step of the way. Seriously! I didn't think going to the dentist would ever be something I'd rave about but this place is excellent!

I grew up petrified of the dentist. Knowing that, my dentist is gentle and caring. Her staff is the same way. As I left Friday, Dr. Batchelor walked me to the door and said, "I saw your landscaping at the vets." (I have done that for 4 years and I love it.) "It's lovely," she remarked. Then, the secy. said, 'I learned that one of your basketball teams won 55 games in a row when you were coaching.' I DID. "And you are in the HHS Hall of Fame." I am. How did...i googled you!

I haven't been to the dentist in years, and I can honestly say that this office and the staff have created the most relaxing atmosphere I've ever experienced at any dentist's office. They were timely, extremely friendly, answered all of my questions in great detail and gave me a very pleasant office visit, which can be difficult to accomplish in the dental industry. They do excellent work and they go above and beyond to ensure that their patients are comfortable. I will most definitely be sticking with this office and I highly recommend.

The entire team is wonderful and makes sure you are comfortable during your visit. I had my first cavity ever filled there. Dr. Batchelor explained everything step by step to me while filling the cavity and even called the next day to check on how things were feeling. I would definitely recommend this dentist to everyone!

Everyone was so kind and patient with my daughter who is very fearful of the dentist. The two office dogs were an added treat to meet and pet. Wonderful staff and would highly recommend!
