Dr. Jayme Mashayekh graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Alabama in 2003 with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. She received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama in 2007 where she was elected to receive membership in the OKU Dental Honor Society. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association and Alabama Association of General Dentistry, as well as the Birmingham District Dental Society. One of her fondest memories is traveling to Ghana, Africa on a medical mission trip. There she provided care for villagers who would never receive medical attention otherwise. Dr. Jayme is married to Hamid and has two children, Grayson and Rylie. In her free time, Dr. Jayme enjoys water skiing, sewing, home renovation projects and spending time with her family.
Hamid is our office manager. He also happens to be married to Dr. Jayme. He grew up in Oak Grove and met Dr. Jayme at the University of Alabama. He enjoys spending time with her and their two kids and spending time on the river.
Chelsea grew up in Birmingham and graduated from Hoover High School. After graduation she attended Jefferson State Community College. During her free time she enjoys playing the bass, traveling, and attending shows with her husband and daughter.
Kelli grew up in McCalla and attended Brookwood High School and Lawson State. She started as a dental assistant and became a dental hygienist in 2015. She is married to Chad and has two girls. She enjoys being outdoors, traveling, cooking and playing with their Westie, Molly
Ashley grew up in Bessemer and graduated from Bessemer Academy. After graduation she attended Jefferson State Community College. During her free time she enjoys playing the piano, being outdoors with her husband and son.
Chelsea W. grew up in central Alabama. After graduating high school in 2010 she attended the University of North Alabama before moving to Birmingham to pursue her interest in the dental field. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Jared, and they enjoy playing video and board games in their off time when not preoccupied by their kitty, Kali.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND DR. JAYME! Her practice is a joke! Cahaba Dental Arts is a joke! Cahaba Dental Arts OVERCHARGES customers and they have POOR COMMUNICATION!!! This has happened to me on more than one occasion. Why are Cahaba Dental Arts' prices so much higher than other local Helena dental practices??? It is the same dental work! Serious Public Announcement Here: !! SHOP AROUND !! !! DO NOT GO TO DR. JAYME AT CAHABA DENTAL ARTS !! I finally got fed up this past summer and decided to change to another dental practice. As the final straw, her practice wanted to charge me an additional $100 to SAVE a place in line for rescheduling my appointment. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!? I just paid the whole amount upfront for my fillings and you wanted to charge me an additional $100 to hold an appointment?!?!? I got so enraged by this. I had to cancel my initial appointment as I had a migraine and COVID. I could not have dental work done at this particular time and did not want to spread COVID. In order to reschedule, Dr. Jayme's office wanted 1.) a positive covid test or 2.) a doctor's excuse stating I had covid. One of these two were needed or I would be charged an additional $100 to secure an appointment time. WHEN DID A DENTAL OFFICE BECOME A SCHOOL OR MY EMPLOYER THAT REQUIRES A POSITIVE COVID TEST OR A DOCTOR'S NOTE?!?!? I draw the line here. Enough is enough. I completely understand charging a certain amount (I think anywhere from $25-$50 is a reasonable amount) in order to discourage patients from canceling their appointments, but $100 is ludicrous!!! Dr. Jayme, Your business practices and ethics within the last year have cost you seven total patients that are no longer returning to you. I am not the only patient that your practice has angered. To the public, BEWARE! FIND A DIFFERENT DENTIST!

Called yesterday to schedule appointment and to see if they took my insurance. I was seen and a day later I was contacted that they are not in my network. I have to pay out of pocket! I said I could wait to be seen till this was found out but I was told no come on! Sad

Today I had my first visit at Cahaba Dental Arts. It was the best first visit to a dentist ever. From the peaceful atmosphere, to the front desk personal, the hygienist and Dr. Jayme it was incredibly easy, friendly and welcoming. I am terrified to go to the dentist. They listened with care, they explained everything, were understanding and had my needs a priority. On a scale of 1 to 10, they deserve a 15 or higher. I highly recommend Dr. Jayme. She and her staff are truly amazing.

I've been going to Cahaba Dental Arts for years. It is a very professional organization at every level. There is nothing I'd change about this place. I moved 40 minutes away recently and still am willing to drive to get there. Kudos to Dr. Jamie.
