Dr. Devin Burns is a Utah Native who lives in the Cache Valley with his wife and five children. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, attending his childrens sporting events, discovering the outdoors and working on his amatuer farm.
From the time he was young he has enjoyed helping others. He spent two years serving the people of Sierra Leone, West Africa as a missionary for his church. Since then, his love of service has continued and grown to include various dental volunteer missions around the world and a continuing commitment to provide care for under-served individuals in the community.
Dr. Burns began his journey into healthcare when he attended and graduated from Brigham Young University and earned a degree in Microbiology. Moving forward, he completed a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree with a capstone in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as part of the University of Utah School of Dentistry's inaugural class. He then trained in an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Internship at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. During this rigorous internship he trained under oral and maxillofacial surgeons, head and neck cancer fellows, and residents from Parkland/ UT Southwestern.
During his training he became versed in the management of medically complex patients, complex tooth extractions, surgical complications, life-threatening dental infections, and the management of dental and medical emergencies. He is trained in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). He also trained in IV sedation and the management of emergency airways, and holds a Class III Anesthesia Permit in the state of Utah.
Though Dr. Burns is not an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, he has limited his practice to oral surgery procedures, with an emphasis on wisdom teeth removal under IV sedation. His goal is to provide the highest standard of care to his patients. He loves what he does.

The overall experience from setting up the appointments, the day of the wisdom teeth removal, and the follow-up to make sure my kids were healing was an great and easy wisdom teeth removal for my two kids. Everyone was friendly and helpful would highly recommend.

My dentist referred me to Dr. Burns for an extraction that turned into 2 being extracted. The whole staff was very kind, respectful and super sweet with my daughter. Dr. Burns was awesome, made sure I was ok and not in any pain during the whole process. Even called to see how O was doing with healing a few days after. No other dentist/doctor has done that before. Highly recommend Cache Valley Wisdom Teeth for anyone needing wisdom teeth removed or if another tooth needs removed.

Five of our six children have needed their wisdom teeth removed. The first three did not have the best recoveries with severe pain and swelling and bruising. The last two had Dr. Burns do it at Cache Valley Wisdom Teeth, and their experiences were amazing! Their recoveries went very smoothly with the pain managed well. The pre- and post- surgical instructions given were so helpful and definitely cut down on the swelling, pain, and risk of infection. I also was so glad that he didn't prescribe a lot of narcotics or have them on the stronger pain meds very long, and only if really needed the first couple of days. I recommend Cache Valley Wisdom Teeth to everyone!! They are THE BEST!!!

I love that Dr Burns was available after surgery. My daughter had some concerns post surgery and we were able to talk to the doctor quickly and get her concerned addressed. The doctor and his staff are friendly and knowledgeable. We had a fantastic experience both times we've brought our kids in and will for sure bring our next one in when he's ready.

Dr. Burns and his staff are great folks! This was my first surgery, first sedation, first IV, as well as first stitches- and I wouldn't have had it done by anyone else! They made each part of the process a breeze from scheduling to aftercare. Dr. Burns called me a week after my surgery to make sure all was well and answer any follow up questions. Getting your wisdom teeth out is a nerve racking experience, but having it done by a great doctor and trusted member of the community makes all the difference! There is a reason they have a solid 5 stars! Don't just take it from me, there are 114 others as of today (07/14/2022) who have said the same! Thank you again for answering all my questions and supporting me throughout the process Cache Valley Wisdom Teeth!

My son had a great experience. Everything went smoothly and he has healed nicely. Dr. Burns checked up on Caden himself by calling a little after the surgery and the price was better than other places.

My experience was pretty great and super fast! Dr.Burns was super nice and so was everyone else they were all super sweet and helped me feel less anxious as I was getting my IV! They also explained everything very well to me so it was easy for me to understand what I was going to feel and what was going to happen! I'm also healing up super well which I am super happy about! And the price was the most affordable as well which was super nice! Thank you so much!!
