Dr. Hawa is a caring and experienced professional who has been practicing since 1998. She was born in India and moved to the USA in 1995. She graduated with honors from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine where she received her DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) in 1998. She received the Robert Zug-Smith award for excellence in academic achievement. She has also received her MDS (Master of Dental Medicine) in Oral Medicine and Radiology from the University of Bombay. Dr. Hawa has over 20 years of experience in the traditional office setting and she has also worked in nursing homes and a hospital treating medically compromised patients. She now resides in Champaign, Illinois with three sons, a beautiful daughter, and her husband, who is a Neonatologist at the CarleFoundation Hospital. Fine arts is her hobby, she is a perfectionist and it reflects in her dentistry as well!
While volunteering at the Community Clinic, in Topeka, Kansas, a not-for-profit organization offering dental care to under represented individuals, she realized that there is a tremendous need of dental servicesforpeople with no access to dental care. Children, the elderly, infirm, orinstitutionalized groups are the patients Dr. Hawa is most passionate to help. Instead of a traditional office environment which can be intimidating and make people uncomfortable, Dr. Hawa has opted to invite her patients into her home office for the experience of having your own personal dentist. Providing access to care is the motto of C U Smile and Dr. Hawa is committed to improving the dental health of all of her patients and making care more accessible and affordable.
