My name is Brett Godlewski Iam a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. With board certification by the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology and a Fellowship in the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. I am very involved with not only the surgical aspects of our specialty but also the art of sedation practices which are of the utmost importance in my practice.
I was born and raised in West Virginia, coming from a small town I understand that spending time with each individual patient is satisfying not only for them but also for the entire clinical procedure. After graduating high school I attended the University of Pittsburgh for an undergraduate degree majoring in Biopsychology. I continued on at the University of Pittsburgh school of dental medicine and received my DMD degree in 2006. Following dental school I completed a General Practice Residency focused on Oral Surgery at the University of Louisville. Here I became very interested in all aspects of surgical care and spent much time with the residents taking call and assisting operating room procedures. I was now sure this was what I wanted to specialize in and make a career of. I then completed an internship at St. Vincents Catholic Medical Center in Queens, NY. Here I was trained in multiple facets of oral surgery and covered facial trauma call at hospitals in Queens, the Bronx and Brooklyn. From here I continued with the program which merged to be Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I was trained under multiple excellent surgeons in Brooklyn and Queens including Dr. Vito Cardo the head of the department and a phenomenal oral surgeon and teacher. My residency consisted of the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including intense facial trauma procedures, corrective jaw surgery, preprosthetic surgery, dental implants, TMJ treatment and reconstructive surgery. Here I was also highly trained in the administration of general anesthesia and also in office deep sedation. I graduated from Brookdale Medical Center as chief resident in 2012. Iam interested in wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, head and neck pathology and in office sedation techniques from nitrous oxide to deep sedation. Keeping my patients well informed and establishing a close relationship is not only my goal but the only way I wish to practice. Iam very excited about providing the best care possible at our Providence road location and I look forward to meeting you.

This place is incredible, not a lobby full of people !! Very quiet smoothing music , great staff.a dr who fully explains what is happening and gives you choices . Had a wonderful surgery. Can't say enough nice thing the dr himself called me the same night to check on me . The friendliness and feeling at ease is the best dentist I have ever been to or encountered. Ty so much to everyone at bzg.

I had a positive wisdom tooth extraction experience at BZG. I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed, one of which was partially impacted. Right from the beginning, Dr. Brett put my mind at ease by taking the time to thoroughly explain the process. After it was over, I received a check-in phone call that night. I felt well taken care of and I would recommend Dr. Brett at BZG for anyone's oral surgery needs.

This definitely deserves more then just 5 stars. He is one of the best doctors out there. His staff n him did an amazing job of making me at peace with everything. I loved how he explained everything in detail of what was going to happen before, during and after. The staff before and after the surgery made me at ease. It was honestly like a family feeling and that is a reason i loved this office. He called multiple times after the surgery to check in with me. You definitely will not regret going to this office.

BZG Oral And Maxillofacial Surgery Center is absolutely amazing! No words can describe the amount of admiration and gratitude we feel towards Dr. Brett Godlewski and his awesome team of medical professionals. We have never experienced a more warm, welcoming medical facility. Our consultation was absolutely perfect. We instantly knew this was where my daughter would have her wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Brett explained everything so thoroughly. We loved everything about this place, the soft leather chair, the warm sun coming through the window and most importantly Dr. Brett and his medical team. Leading up to extraction day our insurance denied the claim for anesthesia multiple times. The staff at BZG did everything possible to ensure my daughter's sedation was covered. When we arrived at BZG for surgery Dr. Brett met us in the waiting room and very calmly walked us through every step of the procedure. He put our worries to rest and I knew my daughter was in good hands. Surgery was a success and my daughter received excellent care. Dr. Brett has been available every day to answer questions and clear up our post op concerns. Eleven days after surgery Dr. Brett fit us into his busy schedule to ensure my daughter was healing properly. BZG went above and beyond our expectations. We honestly feel like we gained friends and family at BZG Oral And Maxillofacial Surgery Center. They truly are a godsend.

They fit me in on a emergency visit (never been there before), called up around 10am and was in there just after 1pm. Had a root canal and crown that had failed and got infected (root canal was not done here) that needed to be pulled. They fit me right in and everyone there was great to deal with. I don't think the doctor believed me when I said it takes alot of novacane to work on me but I lived and the tooth took maybe 5 minutes to get the whole tooth out. They called in my prescriptions for me before they pulled the tooth and were very thorough with instructions on what do in the coming days after it had been extracted. Only in day three of it being pulled but the difference is night and day and would like to thank them for getting me in so quick and getting it taken care of. If I ever have another need for an oral surgeon this is the place I will be calling.

IF I COULD RATE HIGHER THEN FIVE STARS I WOULD! DR. BRETT IS THE BEST DOCTOR EVER! PERIOD! I walked into the office and was greeted by Brittany the office manager. She was extremely friendly and answered all my questions regarding my insurance. I will tell you I have had too many bad experiences with places messing it up! Five minutes later, I was greeted by the doctor. He shook my hand and brought me to the back room. Very comfortable chair. During my initial consultation, Dr. Brett never made me feel like I was dumb for asking questions. I have never had a doctor that went out of his way the way he did to ensure my concerns are discussed and addressed. So, I set up my appointment after the consultation and I felt confident in my decision. Of course, the morning of the surgery I was so nervous. I got to the office and then everything changed. I was extremely relaxed the whole time, could not have felt more comfortable. Remind you, I'm about to have surgery done and I am extremely anxious. After the surgery, I went and got ice cream and took it easy for a few days as they recommended. Des - Dr. Brett's assistant was awesome! Super sweet, and made the environment much more calming! She couldn't of explained the post op better to me. I've recovered a lot faster then I thought I would if I'm going to be completely honest. Highly recommend this office to anyone! A+

I'm so late to posting my review! lol, but I absolutely was terrified and dreaded to get my wisdoms out because of how badly impacted they were and I was afraid of infection after too. However this was the most comfortable and amazing procedure I've had. Highly highly recommend this office! The workers were very accommodating and friendly and kind, and made me feel safe and comfortable before and after Anesthesia. The healing process was very fast and a bit difficult at first but nothing I could not handle, I was worried about some soreness in my jaw bone but the doctor took out the stitches for me and gave me everything needed, such as instructions and medicine that did not make me feel sick. Whole process was painless and straight forward, I woke up in the chair after surgery pain free, just very bloody LOL! highly recommend!! If I could give more stars I would. Thankyou so much! Dr. Brett even called later that day to check in on me and there was a free follow up! Amazing staff, Could not be happier with the outcome of my surgery. I will be most definitely telling my friends to come here!

Believe the reviews. They're this good. I came in with a molar had a root canal and crown performed on, but was badly infected and unfortunately, the root snapped on it. Unfortunately, antibiotics really beat me up. I took as much as I could and the staff here fit me in almost immediately. I also another crown post shaved down to be removed for an implant in 2022 and they said they could take care of that. Before I arrived, I found out that my insurance was tapped for 2021. I was terrified. I've seen and heard of places charging anywhere up to $2,000 for tooth removals without insurance for "complications". I had to get this done though. I went in and Tracy (tell me I didn't screw your name up again) told me $200 with zero insurance. Outstanding. I came home and at an old dentist, I've paid more than that after insurance. The staff was 6 stars, as was Dr. Godlewski. If you want to see a lesson in how an entire staff should handle making people comfortable and feel positive, this is the place. Honestly, I've been a sales and marketing trainer before and I felt like I was in a positive enforcement seminar to make sure someone understands how good their decision to purchase was. I felt so good about myself it was amazing. Again, the tooth was so infected, the pain was brutal. No broken bone or mouth pain I've ever had was close. He stopped, numbed me further and when he came back he got that infected one out without issue. I didn't even feel the uninfected one being pulled. I'm not spending my time leaving a review like this for an office that doesn't go above and beyond. Everyone from the doctor, to front staff and both assistants (Sylvester and the vertically challenged blonde woman that was awesome) are much appreciated.

It has been a journey for me in trying to find the perfect facility to take care of my dental needs. I've tried a multiple of dentists/surgeons and needless to say a nightmare. Which left me without a smile for 10 years +After being referred to BZG, my first consultation was warm and comforting. The surgeon's bedside manner gets 5 stars, the staff, 5 stars, the overall experience help me overcome a lot of my fears. After my procedure was minimal pain. All I can say, If anyone is looking for an oral surgeon facility. I RECOMMEND BZG.

I had a wisdom tooth extracted and it was the best dental experience ever! I was in pain and Dr. Brett and his staff made me feel comfortable and made it look almost effortless removing it. I would highly recommend them.

This practice deserves more than 5 stars. They are all professional, thorough, kind, caring, and respectful. Dr. Godlewski put me at ease from the consultation through to the follow up phone call hours after my surgery, explaining every step. Desiree was upbeat and supportive and the receptionist was positive and helpful. They took a very stressful process and made it completely manageable. I don't know how it's possible, but the entire process has been pain free - perhaps the result of such good care and skill. Do not put off surgery - you will be in the best of hands with BZG.

What a great experience! This will be a place that I will always come back to if I ever need work like that done. Staff is so super friendly, they care about how you're feeling, they explain things before doing them and while they are doing them. It was a very comfortable experience. I was a little nervous because I'm driving from an hour and a half away being that my insurance isn't covered by many Oral surgeons, and I had not met the doctor, but his assistant put my mind at total ease over the phone! She is what sealed the deal for me. But then the Doctor Brett is just as compassionate and caring! I will absolutely be making the trip again if need be. Which I hope I won't need it lol, but what a great place! Thank you!

Best oral surgeon around! Dr Brett and his staff came in on Saturday to help with a emergent problem my daughter was having after her surgery. He was there for us every step of the way and so kind to my 12 year old daughter who was so scared. HIGHLY recommend!!

Dr. Brett and his assistant did an amazing job with my wisdom teeth removal. I had no pain or swelling during or even after surgery. If you need a good oral surgeon in the area I highly recommend BZG.

I wife needed a growth removed from her check that she continuously bit and it was very painful. She hates needles like most people and she was nervous about getting it removed. The doctor was fantastic, the staff was super nice and everything went smoothly. My wife was very happy with her experience and I would definitely recommend BZG oral to everyone. 5
