Dr. Rachel Moon is a general dentist who offers her years of experience, expertise, and comprehensive skills to patients of all ages in the Chester Springs, PA area. She attended Temple University and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry. Determined to follow her interests in oral health, Dr. Moon went on to earn her doctorate in dental medicine at the prestigious Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. During her formal training, she achieved high academic success and was an esteemed member of the Stomatognathic Honor Society.
As a compassionate and exceptionally trained general dentist, Dr. Moon is committed to bringing the highest standard of care to her patients' smiles. Along with holding a certification in Invisalign orthodontics, she has received advanced training in rotary endodontics and is experienced in treating oral trauma. Dr. Moon's own dental experiences led her to pursue a career in serving the oral health needs of others.

Dr. Moon selflessly dedicates her time and skills to community service programs, like Mom-n-PA Dental Outreach. She grew up in Delaware County, PA and is bilingual in English and Korean. In her free time, Dr. Moon enjoys reading, doing arts and crafts, and spending quality time with her husband, daughter, and the family's dog.

Kind staff and calm atmosphere. Prompt, thorough, informative and attentive service. They do very well with children and have been very accommodating to me and my family. My son had an issue of concern and Kelly made time for him to be seen on short notice.

I am so pleased with the quality of care provided at Byers Station Dental. As a new patient, I was greeted on arrival and promptly seen by the hygienist who performed X-rays, Panograph, photos, cleaning, and polishing. Very thorough. By any comparison to all my previous dentists, Byers Dental far surpassess them.

It's been years since I visited the dentist. I was nervous but the every staff member was so welcoming, friendly, and thorough. They explained everything so I'd understand but not too much (I don't want the nasty details. Ha). I'm looking forward to my visit in six months and getting back into a good routine!

Watch out for the charges at this office! And better get formal pre-approvals from insurance instead of trusting the dentist's estimates! Otherwise, you''ll likely end up like me: being charged for procedures that exceeded the total of what I've paid for dental services in the last 20 years. We recently moved to PA and stumbled upon this office. After the rest of my family had routine cleanings done and felt happy, I came in for a simple cleaning, something I've had done twice a year for almost 30 years. Immediately I was told that I needed deep cleanings to fix my gum problems, which I've never had in my life. Thinking that my prior dentists might have missed the symptoms and that the estimated cost for me was about $300 which seemed a fair price considering the free cleanings I've got all these years, I had the procedures done and paid as told. When the insurance company sent me the determination letter, the cost to me was actually over $700, more than double the dentist's estimates. Even worse, the dentist sent me a bill asking me to pay another $700. Adding in the $300 I already paid, I needed to pay over $1,000! This is more than 30% over my copay according to insurance, and more than 300% over the dentist's initial estimates! When I call the dentist's office inquiring about the discrepancies, I was told that at the end of the procedures, they sealed my 7 molars at over $90 each, which turned out not covered by insurance during initial submission of claims. The girl handling claims at the office promised to talk to insurance again and got back to me at the end of the day. That was more than 3 weeks ago and nobody has called from that office. Instead, I keep getting the weekly reminder message to my phone saying that I owe them $700. I'll give them a call after finding out what my options are from insurance. I should have paid more attention to the dentist's low ratings in costs on the insurer's website.

Modern dental office with state of the art equipment and technology. Professional and friendly staff. Excellent hours. Dr. Moon is a highly skilled dentist. I was delighted when she was able to repair a filling of mine after my first check-up, without having to return to the office.

Very professional, friendly, and honest practice. I'm very happy with Dr. Moon's treatment plans after she carefully listens to my concerns. The treatment plans she made for my family are conservative and thorough while taking care to make sure aesthetics are preserved after a procedure. She's an excellent dentist. Kelly at the front desk is very helpful and always makes sure you have all the information you need. She also moves up appointments if she can, which is very convenient for me. The hygienists are also extremely thorough and I feel great after a check-up. I will be recommending this practice to friends and family.

I rarely write reviews and I have had dentist anxiety for years, but I had such a nice experience I needed to write a review. I just recently moved to the area and needed a new dentist. The entire staff are knowledgeable, kind and friendly. Kelly at the front desk is bright and engaging. Sharon the dental hygienist was professional , explained everything and put me at ease while having a usually painful debridement procedure.Dr. Moon has a quiet and calming manner and confidence which is perfect for a dentist. The office is a beautiful and relaxing environment, which is different from most dental offices. I felt well taken care of and never rushed. This will be where I will be going for all my dental needs going forward.

Dr Moon was professional and thorough. She practices conservatively and that is a breath of fresh air from where we were before coming to Byers Station Dental. Staff was friendly and welcoming as well as timely in honoring appointment times. Great experience.
