We also offer many treatments to correct a wide variety of problems including single visit root canals, crowns and bridges, extractions, dentures, and implants. Our patients also like to take advantage of our numerous cosmetic procedures like tooth whitening, porcelain veneers, and Invisalign.
Utilizing state of the art equipment like digital x-rays, laser cavity detection, and intra-oral cameras we provide the most comprehensive care. Our beautiful office provides an attractive atmosphere for all ages. There is a large play area for our pediatric patients and large flat screen televisions in every room. To say that Dr. Michel is passionate about being a dentist is an understatement. Recognized as a leader in his field, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvanias School of Dental Medicine in 1995. He was awarded a General Practice Residency at Muhlenberg Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, giving him the opportunity to study with one of the finest endodontists in the country.
Dr. Michel is constantly learning the latest and most innovative techniques and procedures and has completed more than 2000 hours of continuing education credits, including an intense three week Implant Curriculum at Columbia University.
Dr. Michel is a resident of Brigantine and has been working in the South Jersey area since 2000. An active member of his community, he regularly gives his time to the local soccer organizations and supports area charities. When hes not working, he enjoys spending time with his two young children, traveling and camping. Hes also an avid guitar player, skier and wind surfer.
Dr. Schwegman received his B.A. from the University of South Carolina and his DMD fromthe University of Pennsylvania Dental School. Following graduation he began his private practice in Medford, NJ where he practiced for over thirty years.
He has recently relocated to the Jersey shore to be closer to his two grown children and their families. Now residing in Longport, Dr. Schwegman brings his extensive experience and calm demeanor to our dental family.

I have been nothing but pleased with the quality of work they do here at Dentistry by the Sea. The dentist is very kind and comprehensive about the services you need and doesn't try to sell you extra things you don't need like others I have seen. I recommend everyone to see him!! Anita the dental hygienist was very thorough and listened to everything I had to say. She made a normally fearful experience into a positive one!

Had the best experience with Angel! She is so gentle when cleaning teeth and is extremely friendly. Had the best time chatting with her during my appointment about the holidays and our daily life. I've been using Dr. Michel for a few years now and I think he's the best there is. He's polite, professional and a great dentist.
