Brushing and flossing every day will help get rid of plaque, the main cause of tooth decay and gum disease. You should also floss at least once a day and see your dentist for regular checkups and cleanings.
We can help catch problems before they become a major issue. Gum disease is caused by plaquea naturally occurring, sticky film made of bacteria, mucus, and other particlesthat forms on the teeth. When the plaque is not removed, it hardens into tartar that harbors bacteria. The bacteria can cause inflammation of the gums, called gingivitis. Tartar can be removed only by a dental hygienist or dentist.

Dr. Nabers grew up in East Tennessee in Oak Ridge. He was born to be a dentist. Not just because of his lineagehis father is a retired orthodontist and one grandfather a dentist and the other a physicianbut because of his strong desire to help people stay healthy and feel good about themselves. Dr. Nabers is a practitioner, a teacher and a student. His practice is continually researching new techniques for improving their clients overall dental health and beauty.
Additionally, Dr. Buzz is involved in teaching dental seminars nationally. He received an Associates Degree in Dental Lab Technology prior to attending dental school. He completed his dental degree at the University of Tennessee in 1992. Since then he has dedicated himself to the pursuit of quality and compassionate dental care. Technical excellence is a top priority in the practice and has opened other doorways. Since 2004, he has been involved teaching classes for the Dr. Dick Barnes Group, helping other doctors from this area and across the country become better clinicians.
Dr. Nabers and his wife Trish have three wonderful daughters. They love to spend time together as a family. They enjoy vacations, going to sporting events (as they are long time fans of Tennessee), being involved with the downtown Knoxville community.

UPDATE 9/13/22 Another incredible service with Dr. Buzz and his excellent assistant, Aleesha. I had to have a fairly intensive series of work and it was painless and done perfectly! BRAVO! We love the ease of reaching this location! Dr. Gio and Dr. Buzz are both excellent at what they do, the office staff is as well!! Our hygienist, Jessica, is fantastic! Great COVID protection methods in place, too. Free parking, beautiful facility and excellent care!

Think everyone should be aware this dentist was charged for reusing utensils & not cleaning them between patients. I cannot believe this is an issue in 2022. He also was having dental hygienist perform crown replacements and examinations without supervision. I certainly would never use this dentist! BEWARE!!

As usual, I was definitely in good hands with Dr Nabors for the work I needed today. The dental assistant Aleesha was wonderful, explaining each step of the process to me, and one of the most compassionate individuals I've ever met. I left the office feeling good about everything.

It was a great experience from the very beginning. The office as well as x-rays, all the way to cleaning my teeth. Excellent service and help. They treated me like family. The dentist, dr.Nabers, was so very nice and helpful. If you are hesitant about going to a dentist, you need to visit their office. Can't say enough good things about their services. Will definitely come back.

The team really gets to know you and your family and cares about getting you the right treatments. I hadn't been to the office in more than a year and the dental assistant who helped me remembered details about our last conversation!
