For more than 30 years, Dr. J. Randal Buttram has given his patients the best possible experience. Whether its learning new orthodontic technologies to making sure our office runs efficiently and smoothly, Dr. Buttram cares for each patient like theyre part of his own family.
He loves seeing young patients grow into confident adults and the moment when an adult patient sees their new smile in the mirror. Dr. Buttram chose to pursue orthodontics because it gave him the opportunity to witness patients reach these milestones in their lives.
He then went on to earn his DMD from the University of Florida College of Dentistry, also with honors. He completed a 12-month hospital-based advanced general dentistry residency at University Hospital in Jacksonville.
Dr. Buttram received a specialty Certificate in Orthodontics after successfully completing a two-year residency at the University of Pennsylvania. He works to make sure he has to most up to date orthodontic knowledge.
Dr. Buttram grew up in Central Florida before attending college in Arkansas, where he met his wife Angie. Theyve been married for more than 30 years and are delighted to live in Floridas most beautiful community Panama City.
In his free time, Dr. Buttram flies planes, golfs, cycles, stand up paddleboards, reads and surfs. He is actively involved with his church, local youth sports program as a team sponsor, and the local dental society.
Sarah coordinates schedules to keep the office running smoothly, and is one of the first voices youll hear when you call us. She has been working in the dental field since graduating as a certified dental assistant in 2004 from Florida State College. She has been a part of the Buttram Orthodontics team since 2014
As our financial coordinator, Melissa has helped us provide perfect smiles without breaking the bank. She loves to find the right payment plan for each familys budget and lifestyle, and shes made a lot of great friends in the process.
Patient care is Lauras top priority as an orthodontic assistant, and she makes sure each visit is a positive experience. Laura is always amazed to watch someones smile change and confidence grow. She started at Buttram Orthodontics in 2001.
She enjoys going to the beach, golfing, and saltwater fishing. She has been married to her husband kent for 29 years and they have 2 kids, Nick and Haley, and 4 grandchildren, Bryndon, Caiden, Cole and Brock.
Kristina, whos worked as a dental assistant since 1997, enjoys her job because she connects with patients every day. She loves seeing their joy when they reach the milestone of getting their braces off and is honored to have a role in such an important part of their life.
Kristina loves how friendly and outgoing our office is. When shes not there, shes home with her husband David, and her two dogs, Roxy and Natty. She can also be found at the beach, traveling, or anywhere outdoors.
Stephanie has been our records coordinator since 2001 and takes X-rays and photos for new patients as well as initial records and impressions for appliances. She loves seeing all of our wonderful and interesting patients and getting to know their families and lives.
Outside of the office, Stephanie enjoys shopping, going to the beach, fishing, camping, and spending time with family and friends, and relaxing outside in the shade with a good book. Shes been married to her husband Anthony for 23 years, and they have two kids, Kayleigh and Kristian, and 2 grandchildren, Gavin and Baylor.
Since starting as the New Patient Coordinator in 2005, Kayla helps to welcome all of our new patients into the system. She helps with all of the new patient exams and recalls, and works hard to make sure youre comfortable during your first visit.
Her favorite part about Buttram Orthodontics is how each patient genuinely feels at home. She enjoys spending time with her husband Jesse and their daughter Carlee. In her spare time, Kayla loves to hunt, fish, and camp.
Andrea has been a dedicated member of our team since 2018. She has a busy home with her husband Ryan, their son Ethan, 2 Great Danes, 2 cats, and 5 chickens. Andrea loves reading, movies, and anything Harry Potter.
As an orthodontic assistant, Megan enjoys the anticipation of patients seeing their new smiles in the mirror for the first time. She has been with Buttram Orthodontics since 2012She and her husband Ben have three children, Jayce, Makayla and Everly, and two Great Danes.
