I am originally from India and before I ever became a dentist, I was actually interested in joining the healthcare profession for a long time. I came to see that dentistry would be a great fit for me, as it allowed me to combine my love for science, art, and working with my hands in order to truly help people. I also liked the independence being a dentist afforded, as it enabled me to dedicate as much time as I wanted to my family. It was one of the best decisions of my life. I love that I get to have interesting conversations with all kinds of people while providing an essential service.
After my dental school education in India , I attended the Boston University Goldman School of Dentistry . Thanks to my husband Shiva's support, I was able to not only complete dental school, but I also began successfully practicing here and now own successful practices in the St.Louis area. I still take as many hours of continuing education as I can every year . I believe its essential to stay on top of the latest advances in dentistry in order to provide the best possible care.
Overall, I have spent over 20 years practicing and learning about dentistry, and Ive certainly enjoyed it. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing improvement in the oral health, appearance, and function of a patient and knowing that Ive helped in some way.
When not spending time at dentistry, you will see me with my wonderful husband Shiva and our 11 year old daughter Sahana who is the joy of our life. We enjoy travelling as a family and seeing the world. If not at work or travelling , I love to be home, helping my husband with some home projects. Home is not just a place for me, it's a feeling !
