I always knew I wanted to be a dentist, following the same path as my father who practiced here in Kearney for more than 35 years. Dentistry, for me, is about helping others. Each procedure is a chance to touch a persons life. Whether relieving someones pain, improving function, or completing an Invisalign case, Im helping someone to smile, and I love that!

Kim and I have practiced together since 1986 and I have loved every day of building this practice and all that entails. Most of all, I appreciate the trust our patient family has placed in us, and how were rewarded by their smiles.

I take a range of continuing education courses throughout the year, staying current on developments and research. Ive studied Invisalign clear orthodontic aligner therapy, CEREC one-day tooth restorations, completed the Pankey Institutes curriculum, and am a former member of the Seattle Study Club. I currently take courses through Spear Education and The Dawson Academy.

I grew up in Kearney and Kim and I have lived here since 1991. We've raised our children, and now our grandchildren in the community as well. We feel fortunate to have many members of our extended family living in the area; we love being with them.

Kim and I feel strongly about mission work and undertake missions as often as possible. Weve traveled the globe, offering dental care and sharing the love of Jesus Christ in parts of Africa, as well as Romania, Brazil, and Guatemala.

Additionally, Ive served on the Kearney YMCA board for more than 18 years. Ive also lead Bible studies, headed up Operation Candy Buy Back for our overseas troops for many years, and coached many youth sports.

I truly enjoy getting to knowmy patients personally as I care for their dental needs. I love learning about their lives, their interests and experiences, and seeing their families grow and change over the years. Each person brings new ideas and stories to our office, which broadens my world and makes me a better person and a better provider.

Growing up, I loved working with my hands. If Pinterest had been around when I was a young girl, I would have driven my mom crazy with DIY projects! Combine that creativity and artistry with a love of science, a strong interest in healthcare, and a need to be in a profession that helps othersdentistry was, and is, the ideal fit for me!

Each year I complete many hours of continuing education, studying general dentistry, as well as topics including Invisalign orthodontic aligners and CEREC one-day tooth restorations. I grew up in ruralNebraskaand have lived in Kearney with Mark and our family since 1991. We have enjoyed so many things during our marriage and working together, but the best thing we have been blessed with is our family!

Mark and I both enjoy finding things to do outside. We also like working out, cooking together, and traveling. Were mission minded; Mark and I have provided dental care and shared the love of Jesus Christ around the world, from Africa to Romania, Brazil, Guatemala, and other areas. Its what makes us happiest!

Ive also been active in womens Bible studies, have been our kids biggest cheerleader, and had the opportunity to teach as a part-time clinical faculty at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry.

Garrett Bush was raised here in Kearney, Nebraska and graduated from Kearney High School. He continued his education at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He returned back to Nebraska to attend dental school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. Dr. Garrett then completed a 2-year AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) residency program at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center-College of Dentistry, where he was trained in Dental Implants, Prosthodontics, and Full Mouth Rehabilitation.

Dr. Garrett is the 13th dentist in his family and he is passionate about providing patient-centered comprehensive dental treatment, just as his parents, Drs. Mark and Kim Bush, have in this community for over 30 years. He strives to meet the individual needs of his patients in the most comfortable and proficient means possible. His desire is to enrich the quality of life of his patients by improving and maintaining their overall oral health.

In his free time, Dr. Garrett enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashley, and their beautiful daughter Sloan. They enjoy traveling together and especially spending time hiking and biking in the mountains. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting and fishing any time that he can. He is excited to finally be back Home and hopes to fully engage himself in the Kearney community.

Anna enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their two children. They love being outside, whether they are bow hunting, fishing, kayaking or just going for a walk with their German shepherd.

Amy and her husband Tim have been together for 20 years. They have three boys, Alex, Ian, and Ryan. Amy enjoys watching her boys in sports, spending time with family, being out in nature, cooking, and gardening.

In her free time, Taylor enjoys doing brain activities, raising awareness for Alzheimers, spending time with her family and friends, and spoiling her Husky Denali. Saturdays in the fall, you can find her watching Husker football and volleyball.

Originally an X-ray technician, Lori started in dentistry 16 years ago and hasnt looked back since. Lori takes pride in providing her patients a relaxed and comfortable environment so they always have a positive dental experience. Loris favorite part of her job is giving patients confidence in their smiles. Always striving for a higher standard of dental care, Lori fits right in with the team at Bush Family Dentistry.

Alyssa attended the dental assisting program at Central Community College, did her clinical rotations at Bush Family Dentistry, and began working here as a new graduate. She provides excellent patient care from start to finish, all while getting to know patients and giving them confidence in their smile. Alyssa enjoys working with our caring and encouraging team and creating a happy atmosphere for all.

Kayla attended Central Community College in Hastings. She did her clinical rotation at Bush Family Dentistry and was happy to join our office after graduation! Kayla is excellent at helping meet our patients needs while assisting the doctors during procedures. She loves to give confidence to patients smiles while maintaining our caring, family-focused atmosphere.

Always interested in a health-related career, Karena started in dentistry as a dental assistant. Realizing her joy in helping others through the dental profession, she furthered her education and became a dental hygienist. The most important aspect of her job is educating patients on not only dental care, but also how to maintain overall health. Karena feels at home at Bush Family Dentistry with the team atmosphere and their shared goal of caring for patients.

Dentistry has always been the field of choice for Sarah. Prior to attending dental hygiene school, Sarah worked at Sickler Dental Studio where custom crowns, bridgework, and dentures are fabricated. After completing her education at Iowa Central Community College, Sarah moved back to her home town of Kearney, NE and has been working as a dental hygienist in our practice ever since. Sarah has foundBush Family Dentistry to be a very empowering team, one of which she is proud to be a part of. Sarah's favorite aspect of her job is helping others make progress in their oral health as well as their overall health in general.

Having braces and seeing her own smiles transformation prompted Jessica to want to help others achieve the same confidence that comes from having a healthy smile. She enjoys building personal relationships with her patients that are centered on educating and motivating them towards an optimum state of oral health. Working together to provide the best possible care for patients is her favorite part about being a member of the Bush Family Dentistry team.

Kacy is dedicated to educating her patients on all aspects of their oral healthcare and helping them maintain a healthy mouth. She graduated from UNMC College of Dentistry with a degree in dental hygiene and joined Bush Family Dentistry in 2015. Kacys interactions with patients focus on building a personal relationship with them and creating a fun, relaxing, and professional environment.
