Education Degree graduate of the University of Arizona and the University of Colorado. Advanced General Dentistry degree from the University of Missouri. Studied at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advance Dental Studies, learning the most advanced techniques in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry.

Achievements / Awards Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry at the youngest age on record, and has since been honored by his peers by being elected President of the Arizona Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Dodd practices general dentistry with a focus on aesthetics. He can provide the latest cosmetic procedures, including teeth whitening, porcelain veneers & crowns. Dr. Dodd graduated from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry in 1999 & has additional training from the prestigious KOIS institute in Seattle, Washington. He was born & raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, & has been practicing in Arizona since 1999. He enjoys giving back to the community by volunteering at St. Vincent De Paul, is a nonprofit focused on providing individual care, nourishment & resources to those in need. Dr. Dodds interests include tennis, mountain biking & motorcycle track riding.

Dr. Anderson was born in Cleveland, Ohio, & has called Arizona home for nearly her entire life. She comes from a family of doctors, including her father, a dentist & her brother, who is a physician. Dr. Anderson attended the University of Arizona & continued her education at the University of Colorado School of Dentistry. When shes not caring for patients at the office, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, traveling & playing poker.

Originally from Arizona, Alyssa earned her Associate Applied Science in Dental Assisting in 2008, Associate Applied Science in Dental Hygiene in 2012, and her Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2013. She has more than twelve years of experience in the dental field, and has been with Burns Dentistry for two years.

Get to know Alyssa: When she isnt working, Alyssa loves spending time with her family, two huskies, and three cats, Alyssa also loves to sing. Shes been married for seven years, and together they enjoy traveling and going to new places. Alyssa also listed to sing, and collects knives.

Originally from the Central Coast of California, Ariel has almost 10 years of experience in the dental field. She started her dental career as a dental assistant, and was an assistant for 4 years before furthering her career as a dental hygienist. She went to hygiene school locally in Mesa and loves living in Arizona.

Born in Poland, Sylwia came to the United States when she was 2 years old. She grew up in Illinois and moved to Arizona 2 years ago. After she started assisting, she decided that was the career she wanted to grow in. She has thirteen years of experience as a dental assistant, and has a Dental Assisting Certification, Phlebotomy Certification, and Radiation Certification.

Get to know Jessica: Jessica likes to go running, baking, and decorating. Shes also an animal lover, and has two dogs of her own. Even though shes an Arizona native, shes never been to the Grand Canyon.

Ashley was born in Alaska, and grew up in Arizona. She earned her Associates of Arts from Estrella Mountain Community College, Associates of Applied Science from Phoenix College, and her Bachelors of Arts from Ottawa University, graduating Cum Laude. She has been a Certified Dental Assistant since 2009, and phlebotomy certified since 2005. Ashley started her career in healthcare in 2005, and has been with Burns Dentistry for over two years.

Samantha was born and raised in Blythe,CA and moved to Buckeye 3 years ago. In her free time, she enjoys shopping, doing her makeup, and watching her little brother play baseball on the weekends with her family.

Susan is originally from Sacramento, CA. She moved to England when she was five years old, and moved to Tucson, AZ when she was twelve years old. She raised six children in Tucson, and currently resides in Surprise. She has a Career Diploma in Medical Billing and Coding, and has more than thirty years in customer service.

Originally from Massachusetts, Shari moved to Arizona when she was seven years old. Shari received her education from Apollo College, and has completed Office Manager Training with the Academy of Craniofacial Pain, Anatomage CBCT Training, and is a TMJ Certified Dental Assistant. She has worked in the dental field for 18 years, and has been with Burns Dentistry just shy of one year.

Originally from Chicago, IL, Jessica graduated from high school in Glendale. Her experience includes more than 25 years in sales and customer service. She has been a part of the Burns Dentistry team for three years.

Originally from Washington, Charity studied at Glendale Community College and Mesa Chairside Dental Academy. She has an Associates Degree in Dental Assisting and Business Communication, and continued education and training through the Scheduling Institute, Grant Cardone University, and Ritz Carlton. Charity has more than 17 years of experience in the dental industry, and has been with Burns Dentistry for four years.

Get to know Charity: Outside of work, Charity is involved in dog rescue, and other volunteering. She is a mother of three amazing sons, and has three dogs and one cat (who thinks hes a dog). She enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, bowling, playing pool, watching basketball, and cheering on her favorite football team, the Seattle Seahawks.

Get to know Taylor: Taylors hobbies include mountain biking, and having movie and game nights with her family. She loves to watch baseball, and her favorite team is the Washington Nationals. Taylor has one daughter who is six years old, and a dog mom to an eight year old Rottie Australian Shepherd mix.

Jenna has more than 12 years of experience working in the dental field, and has been with Burns Dentistry since the fall of 2020. She prides herself on her training coming directly from hands-on experience working in a dental office.

With more than a decade of experience, Dr. Jeffrey Erickson brings his small town work ethic to his passion for the art of dentistry, and the positive impact he can make in his patients health. As a second generation doctor, he understands that both skill and compassion are required for exceptional patient care. He recognizes the trust that patients place in him and his dental team, and appreciates every patient relationship for this reason.

Dr. Aaron Holtan is one of the newest doctors to join the team at our Sun City West office. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Exercise Science with a concentration in Sports Medicine from Colorado State University, and a Master of Arts in Biomedical Sciences (M.A.) degree from Midwestern University.

The people aspect of dentistry is what Dr. Holtan enjoys the most, building relationships with his patients. He enjoys helping patients get out of pain, or transforming their smile and helping them regain their confidence.

Holly is a second generation Arizonan. She graduated from the dental hygiene program at Phoenix College. She has worked in the dental field for more than nine years, and has laser and oral conscious sedation certifications.

Originally from San Diego, Haleigh has called Arizona home since 2005. She earned her Associate of Applied Science and Dental Hygiene Associate degrees from Carrington College in Arizona. Haleigh has more than ten years of dental experience, including five years of dental hygiene experience.

Get to know Haleigh: Haleigh has a wonderful husband named Jack, and they have two cavapoos named Emmie and Moose. Together, theyre both huge ASU fans, and love going to football games and tailgating.

Heidi was born and raised in Arizona. She graduated from the Dental Assisting program at Bryman College, and has more than seven years experience in the dental field. She has been with Burns Dentistry for over one year.

Originally from New Mexico, Sarah attended the University of New Mexico, and PIMA Medical Institute in Denver. She has been a Dental Assistant since 2016, and joined the Burns Dentistry team one year ago.

Originally from Indiana, Karlie earned a Psychology, Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Arizona University, and her Dental Assisting Certificate from Carrington College. She has two years of experience in the dental industry, and recently joined the Burns Dentistry team.

Megan is originally from Houston, TX. She attended the Dental Assistant Academy, and holds certifications in CPR, and Phlebotomy. Megan has eight years of experience, and has been with Burns Dentistry for the last four years.

Get to Know Amy Lynn Amy Lynn has a daughter who inspires her to become the best person she can be. She loves being a part of the Burns Dentistry team and watching her patients who never smile, cant stop smiling because of the new smile and confidence we gave them.

Mareena started her journey in the dental industry in 2014. She attended Baldwin High School on Maui, and earned her certificate of dental assisting through Academy for Dental Assisting Careers. She is also CPR certified.

Dr. Jerry Burns owner and founder Burns Aesthetic and General Dentistry, enjoys pushing himself to new limits. Committed to providing his patients with the highest quality and most cutting-edge treatment and procedures, Dr. Burns constantly stretches his skills and knowledge by immersing himself in new trainings and opportunities for growth. Upon graduating from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1998, he moved to the Phoenix area, where he established his practice and has been a valued member of the community ever since. Today, he and his wife, Christie, live in Scottsdale, a short distance from both their adult daughters, Hannah and Maggie. As a result of his extensive continued education and the smooth systems hes implemented, Dr. Burns is extremely efficient.

In fact, he is able to complete most dental procedures in half the normal time with stunning results. One of the procedures he enjoys most, full mouth rehabilitation, requires the tremendous amount of training in all dental disciplines that Dr. Burns has attained. This process restores the teeth and mouth from a broken or collapsed state to one of ideal function, aesthetic, and health. Dr. Burns values the opportunity to change patients lives in this way and has witnessed first hand the impact dental procedures can have on an individuals everyday life. One recent example of this was a hybrid denture procedure he performed on a patient, who hadn't been able to eat real food in years. Soon after, the patient returned to thank Dr. Burns and share how grateful he was. In tears, he explained how simple enjoyable things, such as eating pizza, as silly as that sounds, was now possible for him.

While helping his patients is part of his job, it is also important to Dr. Burns that he and his practice give back to the local community. One way his practice does this is by hosting Veterans Day, a day when the practice offers free dentistry to all veterans who come in. A similar day exists for low-income families and individuals who cannot afford care. Through Feed My Starving Children, Dr. Burns has traveled as far as the Dominican Republic to provide free surgical services to people in need.

Dr. Burns is grateful for the strong team he works with and credits much of the practices success to its cohesion. Moving forward, he is excited about growing the business to expand the level of care and customer service offered to more people in the valley. When hes not working, Dr. Burns loves exploring the areas myriad of outdoor activities with his family, especially hiking. They also like to try out new restaurants or events together, and, at least once a year, Dr. Burns finds its absolutely necessary to make a trip to the ocean. And one of his favorite hobbies is shopping for suits and dress shoes (as well as the perfect socks!)
