Dr. Alex Fitzhugh is originally from Arkansas but is proud to serve Burleson and the surrounding cities at Burleson Endodontics. Dr. Fitzhugh attended college at the University of Arkansas, and following graduation, he attended The University of Tennessee. After earning his D.D.S. degree, Dr. Fitzhugh completed hisendodonticspecialty training at Rutgers University. Dr. Fitzhugh believes in minimally invasive endodontics, and to achieve that, he uses the latest endodontic techniques and skills atBurleson Endodontics. These include cone-beam CT (3D imaging), advanced endodontic microscopy, Advanced Endodontic Delivery Systems, and microscopic surgery. He provides compassionate and exemplary care to all of our patients. Dr. Fitzhugh enjoys spending time with his family and friends in his free time. You can often find his wife, Brittni, helping out at the office, and his three kids often make surprise visits. When not at the office, he enjoys playing any sport his kids will play with him, going to the lake, and doing anything to stay active.
Heather was raised in Fort Worth, Texas. Immediately after high school, she studied to become a dental assistant and received her RDA. In her commitment to continued growth and learning, she has worked her way to the front office. She loves spending time with her two children, Charlotte and Adylinn. She is an active member at St. Marys of the Assumption Church and an avid sports fan. Her favorite teams are the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers.

Root canals can stop the pain in its tracks and save and protect a patient's natural tooth. Don't put off treatment for your tooth because waiting will only increase the pain and the potential for further damage.
When the infection runs deep enough into the tooth's roots, or the canals of the root are too narrow for the dentist to reach by drilling into the tooth, apical root surgery may be necessary to save the tooth and stop the pain.
It is common for patients to experience nervousness or anxiety when visiting the dentist. Some can manage it on their own, but for others, the stress involved can keep them from ever visiting the dentist.

Came here because of reviews about emergency dental procedure. I showed up explaining I was having excruciating pain and needed root canal. Receptionist was not friendly or understanding at all, sent me away. I did not demand anything. I politely asked to be moved in, and possibly have next patient moved to a later time, out of desperation. No demanding. My request wasn't even slightly considered, and I was sent away.

From the start, Doc Fitzhugh was very professional during the initial consultation and later the actual procedure. During the procedure, he kept me apprised of where he was and explained everything in detail. Root canal's are no fun, and while the good Doc may not be able to carry a tune, he was quick, efficient, and very good at getting me in and out without any discomfort and pain. THAT'S HUGE!! Had the worst pain from needing a root canal that was manageable, until it wasn't.... Was in the process of waiting another week and a half for my scheduled appointment but suddenly was in so much pain I could barely take care of my 8 month old baby. Thank God my husband was home to help. Called to explain to them what I was going through and they were so understanding and helpful in getting me immediate help to fix my tooth. Everyone was so friendly and comforting as I was nervous about having dental work I'd never experienced done. And now I feel fantastic, better than my mouth has felt in years! I would recommend them to literally any and everyone when you need this kind of dental work done. Life changers are over here, guys!

I recently got to meet this special group of people. I had to have a root canal. I was terrified! I don't like needles. They went above and beyond to make me feel at ease and comfortable. I never felt a thing ! I had heard horror stories about root canals. Well they proved that wrong!! This group is amazing Dr Fitzhugh and his staff are the BEST. They had me laughing all the way through it. I was all smiles when I left. I would recommend them to anyone. Love this group. If I ever have to have anything done I will be going here. Thanks again for all y'all did for me. Y'all are really amazing

I was recommended to go there for a root canal which was my first and after hearing horror stories the staff made me feel at easy. I hope I never need to go there again, but if I do I know I will be in good hands.

I don't have a thing with google set up so I am using my wife's. I'm not one to leave a review unless I got that wow treatment. I was sent to get a root canal and I am one who can not stand dental anything. Dr.Fitzhugh and Deysi were great. Made me feel chill about the whole procedure. Also the Dr. is for sure the song bird of our generation. Thank you

I'd never had a root canal and was really dreading it. From the initial phone call setting up the appointment to checkout, I can honestly say I was blown away with this office! Dr. Fitzhugh, Deysi, and the whole team was amazing! Everything was explained very well and they constantly checked to make sure I was comfortable. Dr. Fitzhugh has a great bedside manner and a wonderful sense of humor. I had no laughing gas, but sure left with a smile on my face!

I want to start by saying that Dr Fitzhugh and his staff went over and beyond customer service! I was referred to them on Tuesday and on Wednesday they were able to get me in and assess my tooth problems and worked around my schedule and got me in Friday morning before they were scheduled to open to perform my root canal as I was in so much pain,they really do care about their patients, I would highly recommend them!

I have to say the reviews I saw on here made me feel so much better about having a root canal revision with Dr. Fitzhugh. I have had terrible experiences with the dental industry as a whole, but him and his assistant Deysi made that the easier, most comfortable experience I've ever had. The shot part is seriously the worst for me and it still hurt I'm not gonna lie, but it was the least about of pain I've had with getting a shot in my mouth! I will definitely come back if I need any other Endo work!

My dendist Mr Hawkins referred me to this place. I had a bridge and I couldn't tell which tooth was hurting but it was painful and I couldn't eat on that side. I never even heard of the word Endodonitics much less what they do. It is the last resort before pulling your tooth. The office staff was kind and sweet. The dentist was very knowledgeable. They found the problem and saved that side of my face. His assistant was precious and knew her business keeping you comfortable through the whole time. The dentist was was kind. I highly recommend this place for help in finding your problem and saving your teeth.

"I loooove root canals!!!" Said no one!! However, if you ever find yourself needing one Dr.Fitzhugh at Burleson Endodontics is the place to go. He and his lovely staff will make you feel comfortable and even laughing through the procedure. Thank you for making a scary situation not scary at all!!

To be honest I was very scared to have a root canal done, but Dr. Fitzhugh helped me relax and had a great bedside manner. I didn't even feel the shots, or the drilling. The procedure was over before I knew it. I had no pain the day of or even after. I would highly recommend Dr. Fitzhugh, he was professional, has a good sense of humor, and gets the job done reasonably quick. Thank you for making my experience a pleasant one!

What this Dentist lacks in singing ability, he more than makes up for in Dentistry! I was in for a root canal expecting the worse. Minimal discomfort during the procedure and didn't feel any pain after. Brilliant job, terrible singing...

If I could give ten stars I would. I'm moving to England in less than two weeks, and of course one of my teeth chip. I was told I'd need a root canal as the inside of the tooth had decayed because of an old filling not done well. Of course, this put me in panic mode. I've never had a root canal and don't particularly enjoy going to the dentist, and I wasn't sure if there was enough time to get an appointment in. But Dr Fitzhugh and his staff were able to get me an appointment within a week and really put me at ease. The procedure was over so quickly I barely had time to be anxious about it! Not to mention the music playlist they had going was also worth ten out of ten stars, and the conversation was even better. I'm so grateful I was able to visit this office. It's now the day after my root canal and I've got no pain at all. I think that's a testament to Dr Fitzhugh's expertise! If you're looking for a place to go, definitely visit Burleson Endodontics. Highly recommend.
