Since day one, Dr. James W. Burks has been committed furthering his skill, expertise, and level of dental health care. Dr. Burks earned an Associate of Science degree in biology with a double minor in Art and Chemistry from the University of Tennessee. He then earned his doctorate from the University of Tennessee in Memphis in 1982. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of Laser Dentistry and voluntarily continues to exceed the required amount of postdoctoral training on an annual basis. In doing so, Dr. Burks provides an outstanding and advanced level of care, ensuring that you have the most comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, and cutting edge dental treatments available.
Dr. Burks cutting edge talent, expertise, and technologically advanced office will ensure that every visit to his practice leaves you happier, healthier, and with a smile thats worth sharing with the world.
In the coming months, he is excited to be taking advanced courses and hands-on training in Implants and Orthodontics to be bringing more comprehensive care to our patients. He is always seeking the newest and cutting-edge techniques and methods to make sure my patients are properly taken care of!
When Dr. Zurcher is not picking up the handpiece and helping Madison stay as healthy as possible he loves to spend as much time with his family and explore as much of Tennessee as possible! Accompanying them you will commonly find their dog, Roxy as they go on hikes and walks through Nashville! He is an avid sports fan and loves to root for his Texas Longhorns!

As usual I had a top notch, thorough dental cleaning! The entire staff was friendly, respectful and efficient. My dental hygienist, Wendy, made every effort to make me as comfortable as possible. She's very thorough and doesn't miss a spot & I have never had any discomfort. Excellent care!

I've been going to Dr Burks for probably close to 20 years. He's the only adult dentist I've ever had and my entire family goes to him. He puts his patients first, he's mastered his craft and he doesn't try to find problems that don't really exist just to make more money. The office staff and hygienist are also wonderful to work with. Wendy is the hygienist who cleans my teeth and she always brightens my day. If you want are dental team who Cares about you as a patient, then Dr Burks is the dentist for you.
