Dr. Vivek Vij graduated with his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S) from India in 2007 after which he continued his education at New York University College of Dentistry where he received his Doctors of Dental Surgery ( D.D.S.) He received hospital training for IV sedation at St. Josephs University Medical Center in Patterson, New Jersey. He also holds a moderate sedation permit in Virginia which enables him to perform IV Conscious sedation in his practice.
From his attendance to 2 different dental schools, externships, research and participation in dental organizations, Dr. Vij has a strong clinical foundation in the field of dentistry. He stays informed by attending continuing educational courses through his involvement with professional organizations, like theAmerican Dental Association,Virginia Dental Association, andAmerican Academy of General Dentistry. He has a range of experience in numerous procedures and surgeries that have benefited countless patients during his years of practice.Dr. Vij is qualified to serve and help patients to improve their unique smile.

Dr. Sukhvir Kaur grew up in the Northern Virginia area. She graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, VA with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Concentration in Microbiology and Immunology. She completed her dental education at Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington D.C., where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S). Following graduation, Dr. Kaur completed her residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at NYU Langone Dental Medicine where she furthered her training in surgical procedures, extractions, cosmetic and comprehensive dentistry.
Since returning to the Northern Virginia area, Dr. Kaur has continued to provide excellent care to her patients by applying the skills she acquired during her training. Dr. Kaur enjoys cosmetic dentistry and the satisfaction of achieving desired results for her patients. Outside of work, Dr. Kaur enjoys painting, baking, spending time with her friends and family. Other interests include traveling, hiking and trying different cuisines and restaurants.
Cindy is a native of Northern Virginia and grew up in Fairfax Station. She graduated from George Mason University with a B.S. in Business Management and soon after received her dental hygiene degree from Northern Virginia Community College.
She attended Medical College of Virginia in Richmond for administering local anesthesia & nitrous oxide and received a recognition award from the American Medical Association for completion of the Department of Defense Armed Forces Institute Pathology Forensic Dental Identification and Emerging Technologies.
When Cindy is not working she loves to be at her familys weekend home on the water in the Northern Neck of Virginia. She enjoys boating, reading a good non-fiction book, or just relaxing with friends and family.

'I developed a small fear of Dentists mainly due to bad experiences when I was a child. I avoided visiting the dentist for more than 8 years. After constant nagging from my girlfriend I decided it was time for a clean up and boy did I go to the right place. From the start, I was given exceptional service from Dr. Vij and his wonderful staff. I have been to his practice a few times now and I have nothing to say but great things. Dr. Vij showed me the before and after pictures of my gums and they look GREAT! I definitely recommend this practice to anyone, especially those who have any Dental phobias! Pros: Dentist: Dr. Vij Does an excellent job explaining every procedure. Created a great game plan to get my gums back to health! Procedures: No pain no irritations. Dr.Vivek and his staff were amazing. They performed cleaning and fillings and took out my 2 wisdom teeth without any pain. I was very surprised. Very professional , friendly and supportive dentists I have ever had. I highly recommend their service and maintenance for your teeth. My father went to him first time and he and his team took care of him very well. The. My dad told me fahim you need go Burke parkway dental. I am very happy and pleased with their service and up to date appointments. If you are person looking a for good dentist then I highly recommend them.

Dr. Vij and his team are extremely caring and professional. Recently, I had my wisdom teeth out at Burke Parkway Dental and I couldn't have had a better experience with it. I came into the clinic with a lot of pain and swelling in my gums. Dr. Vij determined the cause was an impacted wisdom tooth and acted quickly to relieve me of the infection. Just a few hours after going home, the pain was already gone. While discussing the options for treating the root cause of the infection, Dr. Vij did a wonderful job explaining the benefits and risks of each choice, and made sure I had a voice in my treatment plan. Ultimately, we decided to take out my wisdom teeth, as leaving them in would only cause me more problems down the line. They were able to schedule me for the extraction just three days later! On the day of the procedure I was very nervous, but the staff was so understanding and comforted me. Dr. Vij took extra care to see that I had the right mixture of anesthesia for me. I had no pain at all during the entire process, and Dr. Vij was vigilant about checking in on me to make sure I was confortable. There was minimal pain during my recovery, and the worst of it was easily suppressed with over-the-counter pain meds like motrin and Tylenol. A week later, Dr. Vij saw me in the clinic again to check on my progress, and we were both pleased to find out that the incisions in my gums are almost fully healed already! I am so happy I was lucky enough to have Dr. Vij and his team to help me through this, and I cannot recommend Burke Parkway Dental more!

Have been going to the same dentist for 30+ years and had to switch due to a change in insurance. I just had a root canal done by Dr V and yes I was nervous because this was my first root canal and a new dentist. Well all went well and the staff and Dr V knows how to treat customers and Dr V did a great job in explaining everything that was going to happen. I think I found my new dentist... thank you Burke Parkway Dental!

Dr. Vij and his team are excellent! I was very worried about having my wisdom teeth removed but Dr. Vij was very good about explaining the procedure. He also explained that removing them before the age of 25 is best as the healing process will be faster. The process was very quick and I had very little pain following the procedure. If you need your wisdom teeth removed or any other dental work I would highly recommend going to Dr. Vij at Burke Parkway Dental

The Best Choice For Dental Implants I have had to visit few dentists before Dr. Vij and I must say this has been the greatest experience by far. He took the time to explain all the details of the procedure for my dental implants and made sure I understood the process and was comfortable at every step. He made sure the procedure was smooth and less painful. Even after the procedure, he followed up regularly to make sure I didn't have any issues. My family and I have been patients here for last 4 years whether it is just routine cleaning or getting the implants or any other major surgeries. The entire team is very professional and generous. Dr. Vij is very knowledgeable, accommodating and takes very good care of his patients. It is a blessing to have a great dental practice right in our neighborhood and we are very grateful for that. Burke Pkwy Dental is the solution for all of our family's dental problems. Dr. Vivek is very devoted and compassionate with his profession, and he has established a pleasant environment in his office. We have been his patients for the last six years. I have had two implants done by Dr. Vivek. He took every step keenly, from diagnosis to bone grafting to the extraction of the tooth to gum grafting. He is knowledgeable about everything related to dental. I highly recommend him for any dental issues.

Sometimes you feel like you have met a god , I was suffering from wisdom tooth problems from a week . I was almost helpless and tired of finding the dentistry who could schedule the appointment for extraction , in the market there were no any dentistry who could provide me a schedule in earlier than 2 weeks , I was already in the pain, lot of painkiller from week and nothing was working fine , literally was exhausted and every hours were becoming harder for me . I got a referral from my friend mr. Pramesh Shrestha to check with this location with doctor Mr.Bivek , I called the doctor office and talk with him , I shared my all the pains and problems with him and he listened to me . He immediately invited me to his Office , he checked my situation and setup immediate tooth extraction procedure . He even helped on the financial terms since I didn't have a insurance , he gave me huge discount , Dr. Bivek became a god to me . He really helped to get out of my tooth problem . He was kind , helpful , honesty and caring.

I saw Dr. Vij on an emergency visit and he fixed the tooth even better than before! There was no pain and he was very efficient I am absolutely thrilled with my new tooth! I have been to Dentists around the world and I have to say Dr Vij and his team are my favorite. I just moved to the area and I'm so relieved to have found Burke Parkway Dental. I have high dental anxiety and all my concerns were addressed and taken care of, easy. I even ended up laughing during my appointment and for me that's saying something. ... sorry Dr. I'll be back lol.
