Dr. Ghanavati is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Virginia Dental Association (VDA), the Northern Virginia Dental Society (NVDS), as well as the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).
Dr. Ghanavati was born and grew up in a medical and dental family in Tehran. He started his journey in Dentistry in 1993 and has D.D.S and Masters Degree in Periodontology and Implantology from National School of Dentistry which is a renowned university in Iran and the Middle East.
Dr. Ghanavati served for several years as an associate professor and clinical researcher in National School of Dentistry and as an author he has a few of research publications and papers in National and International Dental Journals.
In 2013 he earned his dental degree in Laser in Dentistry from Rheinisch-Westflische Technische Hochschule Aachen University (RWTH Aachen University) which is a research university located in Aachen, Germany.
His oral surgery and periodontology skills include the surgical placement of implants, periodontal surgery, hard and soft tissue grafting (bone and gum grafting), the removal of impacted third molars, socket preservation, sinus lifting and ridge augmentation.
Dr. Ghanavati is one of the first dentists in the United States and world to undergo training and become certified to offer the Pinhole Gum Rejuvenation treatment to his patients, which is a scalpel-free, suture-free procedure with very fast recovery for correcting gum recession.
Dr. Sanam Kheirieh earned her Doctorate Dental degree from Iran in 2005, where she worked as a general dentist for six years. After practicing dentistry and performing research projects, she decided to continue her career in the field of Endodontics.
She received her specialty degree in Endodontics from the University of Maryland where she also earned Master degree in Biomedical Science. She continued to expand her knowledge alongside her clinical skills through research projects in the field of dentistry and specifically dental materials. Dr. Kheirieh has several publications mainly in the field of Endodontics and almost 500 citations. She has numerous oral and poster presentations at scientific dental meetings. In 2015, she was awarded with The Sherril Ann Science Endodontic Research Fellowship Award, for demonstrating exceptional ability in the field of endodontic research. This award was granted for developing Nanogel-based Scaffold in Endodontics. Dr. Kheirieh is an active member of the American Association of Endodontics, International Association of Dental Research, American Dental Association, Northern Virginia Dental Society, and Endodontic Penik Study Club.
Amy has been working in the dental field since 2000. She served honorably in the United States Navy for six years, first as a member of the United States Navy Ceremonial Guard before training and serving as a Navy Dental Technician. Amy graduated from Cabrillo College in California at the top of her dental hygiene class. She loves being a Registered Dental Hygienist because of the relationships she forms with her patients.
Tanaz was born in Teheran, where she has grown up and graduated with a bachelors degree in graphic design. She has been working in the dental field as Dental Assistant since 2014 and has joined the Burke Dental team in 2020. She decided to apply her experience working as a care coordinator at Burke Dental. Her passion to help people and her background enables her to interact with everyone easier and make them feel that they are in good hands. She gets her strength and passion from her family, especially her daughter.
Nicole is originally from Michigan and is now enjoying living in Northern Virginia. She has a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education allowing her to have spent nearly 20 years teaching young students. Her passion for learning new things, along with the desire to engage with people, brought her to Burke Dental. Time spent outdoors with her family is what she enjoys most, as well as meeting new people, and serving her community.
Speaking three languages, Sadaf Sameem is a caring mother of two children. Cleanliness and well-organized home and workplace matter the most to her. Her compassionate and well-organized characteristic has lead her to becoming a dental assistant. She has been living in Virginia since 2009. Besides being a caring mom and well-organized and compassionate dental assistant, she is also an excellent cook.
Samrawit Graduated from Anne Arundel Community College in Maryland Dental Assistant and Radiology course. Samrawit loves to help patients. Besides working, Samrawit loves to spend her time with her two sons.
