Jason Burckhard, DDS, grew up in Minot and graduated from Minot High School. He attended Minot State University where he received an undergraduate degree in biology. From there, he attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry where he received his doctor of dental surgery degree. Finally, he went to the University of Missouri-Kansas City for his orthodontic residency where he earned a certificate in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. Dr. Burckhard has been practicing orthodontics since he graduated from his residency in August 2009. Before moving home to Minot, he practiced in the western metro of the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. He was also a consulting orthodontist at Childrens Hospital in Minneapolis.
Dr. Burckhard is excited to practice orthodontics in his hometown of Minot. With over ten years of orthodontic experience, he can help you achieve your orthodontic goals. He looks forward to working with patients to help them achieve the smile of their dreams as well as a comfortable and functional bite. In the end, he wants to see his patients oral health improve through orthodontic care, and he enjoys the relationships that are created with patients and their families along the way.
Dr. Burckhard is the past president of the Minot Dental Society (2016 2019). He is also a member of the American Dental Association, the North Dakota Dental Association, the Northwest District Dental Society, the American Association of Orthodontists, the MidwesternSociety of Orthodontists, and the North Dakota Society of Orthodontists.
In his spare time, Dr. Burckhard enjoys spending time with his wife, Andrea, his three sons, Blake, Bennett, and Bridger, and all of their family in Minot. He will often be a volunteer coach for his sons activities as they are getting older and busier. Dr. Burckhard also enjoys golfing, gardening, and landscaping. Finally, Dr. Burckhard is a big Green Bay Packers fan, so dont be afraid to talk to him about your sports allegiance.

I would just like to say how pleased we are with Burckhard Orthodontics! The entire staff is so helpful and kind! Doctor Burckhard provides straight forward honesty (which we completely appreciate) and options for the care of our 2 children in braces! The entire visit, from start to finish, is always on time, fast and efficient! I'd recommend them to anyone looking into receiving orthodontic care!

He does go out of his way for his patients we live 2 hours from minot he is willing to come in even on the weekends to fix stuff he goes out of his way for his patients that's for sure

Excellent care, friendly staff...they make us feel like family. Both myself and 1 child have completed treatment with them and we are very pleased with the results. Dr. Burckhard does a wonderful job of evaluating and discussing treatment options. From the front desk to his orthodontic assistants...high level of service at every interaction. Highly recommend!

Dr. Burckard and his staff are amazing!! So caring and welcoming! They took wonderful care of both my son and daughter's smile. I didn't realize just how good we had it until we had to move and find a new orthodontist. He is a hard one to match. Not many care for you as a person like he does. You are not just another patient there. Highly recommend him and his office!

This office is just outstanding. I was in Minot for the fair, and my lower retainer broke. I called all over town trying to get into a dentist or Ortho that could help me. Dr. Burckhard and his staff made room for me the next day and were so fantastic. Dr. Burckhard is throughout and gentle, caring and attentive. He spends the time with each patient like you are individually his number 1 priority. I called my sister when I left and told her that her kids need to go here when they are near braces. So impressed! Thank you Dr. Burckhard and your awesome staff for squeezing in an out of towner!
