Our dental practice was opened in Sterling, VA in 1989, by Dr. Paul Callahan who receivedtop ranking among a peer group of more than 30 general dentists at his separation.Dr. Kevin Bunin and Dr. Julia Margol continues that tradition with top rankings in peer reviews in cosmetic and general dentistry.

Dr. Kevin Bunin is passionate about providing high quality and advanced dental care in a comfortable, relaxing, and caring environment. As a highly skilled dentist, he provides services in all areas of dentistry including cosmetic and restorative dentistry, dental implants, Invisalign aligners, and sleep apnea therapy.

Dr. Bunin obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin in Electrical/Computer Engineering and Computer Science. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry where he also completed an implant clerkship. It was here that he received advanced training in implant placement and restoration. While in dental school, he was honored by admittance into the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Society.

Dr. Bunin continued his dental training by completing his Advanced General Dental Residency at Wellspan Hospital in York, Pennsylvania. During this time, Dr. Bunin was awarded the Titanium Implant Award for his skills performed in implant placement. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Bunin moved to Chicago to work at the James A. Lovell Veterans Administration Hospital, which is affiliated with the Great Lakes Naval Base. Dr. Bunin was honored to have the opportunity to provide excellent services to improve the dental health of our veterans.

Dr. Bunin is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. He received the prestigious award of Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, requiring more than 500 hours of continuing education in all aspects of dental care along with comprehensive testing of his dental knowledge and skills.

Dr. Julia Margols interest in dentistry began at a young age. She grew up in South Florida, where her pediatric dentist helped foster a true love and respect for the dental field and, after working at his practice, her interest quickly became a passion. This early experience in dentistry taught her about the importance of creating a safe and comfortable environment for patients while providing only the highest quality of care, values that are the foundation of her patient-centered approach today.

Dr. Margol obtained her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and studied abroad in Vienna, Austria. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from The Dental College of Georgia in Augusta, where she received advanced training in restorative dentistry. While in dental school, Dr. Margol traveled to underserved communities throughout Georgia to provide dental care through her schools clerkship program. She applies her training in the latest techniques and technologies to benefit each patient and continues to advance her dental practice through continuing education. Dr. Margol is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and the American Association of Women Dentists.

Dr. Margol addresses the unique oral health needs of every patient with a caring, personal touch. She strives for excellence and to create an environment in which patients feel comfortable and confident discussing their health, concerns, and goals. In so doing, Dr. Margol works as a skilled and trusted partner with her patients to benefit their overall health and well-being.

A new addition to our office, Krystal recently graduated with an Associates in Health Information Management and Certificates in Medical Coding and Billing and Medical Records. She enjoys learning new things and implementing new systems into our office to benefit our patients experience. When shes not in the office, Krystal and her five-year-old daughter Nova enjoy going to the park, swimming, and the beach.

Teri joined our practice in 2000. Her background in dental assisting is key in understanding clinical procedures and insurance coding to maximize patient benefits. She can be heard on the phone answering dental questions and helping patients schedule appropriate care daily. Teri enjoys travel, family, and friends.

Brooke is the energetic and pleasant voice that will welcome you over the phone to our practice. She is the warm and engaging smile that you will see when you first enter our doors. Penny has touched the lives of thousands of patients in her 36-year career as a dental assistant. She has been at Bunin Dental for 20 years and oversees the clinical functions of the office. Pennys needlepoint can be seen hanging from the walls of our office and is priceless.

Sonia joined our practice in 2007 and has enjoyed a career in the dental profession since 1997. Fluent in Spanish, Sonia has allowed us to expand our services to meet the needs of the Hispanic community in the area. Sonia exudes warmth and a sincere charm. Her hobbies include jogging.

Diane is a 1994 graduate of FONES School of Dental Hygiene, University of Bridgeport, CT. She is passionate about dental hygiene, and strives to make each patient comfortable during every visit. Diane enjoys outdoor adventures with her family on her free time.
