Dr. Sabiha Bunek has lived in Ann Arbor her entire life and is proud to be practicing dentistry since 2006 in her hometown. She is known by her patients, colleagues, and friends for her energetic and compassionate personality, her calming bedside manner, her artistic eye and talent for cosmetic dentistry, and her gentle yet perfectionist touch.
Outside of Ann Arbor, Dr. Bunek is a world recognized advocate for patient dental care. She is a highly sought-after national/international speaker, and CEO of Dental Advisor, a Consumer Reports for the dental profession. Dr. Bunek has never been afraid of hard work and as a result has established an extremely rare position for herself within the dental profession. She is a general dentist, world recognized opinion leader, dental product consultant, highly published researcher, and educator. This unique expertise bridges the gap between research and clinical dentistry, allowing her to educate dentists from around the world about the most advanced products and techniques she is using in her daily practice.
Early in her career, Dr. Bunek noticed a trend in dental offices where bigger was better which resulted in a shift from a patient-focused practice to a production-focused practice. For the last decade, Dr. Bunek envisioned an office where she could bring the attention back to individualized patient care, where there was time to evaluate patients as a whole, not as a number or goal. Her dream finally came true in 2018 when she opened Bunek Dental Studio. As an avid Michigan sports fan, when the space across the street from The Big House became available, she knew the time was right! Every detail of the clinic was designed with superior patient care in mind-from hand picking the best team members to designing an award-winning, high-tech office where the goal is to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable.
Dr. Buneks love and passion for dentistry can be felt the moment you walk into the doors of Bunek Dental Studio but her first love is her family. Dr. Bunek met her husband, Dr. Julius Bunek, a local Periodontist, in dental school where they both attended University of Michigan. They have been married since 2007 and are proud and involved parents of two children, Renna and Faris. Dr. Bunek and her family can frequently be seen at Michigan sporting events, local parks, or strolling the streets downtown. She loves running into friends and patients, so please dont hesitate to say hi! Dr. Bunek genuinely cares about and supports her local community. She prefers to keep her business as close to home as possible and supports as many local charities as time and funds allow.

Dr. Bunek really runs a very professional and friendly practice. My hygenist Meghan is excellent at what she does, and Dr. Bunek and her assistant Shelby made the experience of getting a crown and filling as painless as possible. Highly recommend them!

I had an appointment with Dr. Bunek and her assistant Natalie today. The cleaning and care portion performed by Natalie was great, no discomfort and helpful information given during that process. Then Dr. Bunek did some repair on a chipped tooth making it look like new. This procedure was also pain free and took only minutes. Thank you Dr. Bunek and Natalie for your excellent care .
