Dr. Frei has been caring for patients at Bulverde North Family Dental since 2000. He is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio. Dr. Frei graduated in the top ten of his class and has received numerous awards.
Dr. Frei and his wife, Sarah, have 4 children.Nick is a recent graduate of Texas A&MUniversity. Cody is a Senior at UTSA, Noelle is a Freshman at Arizona State, and Carter is a second grader in Comal ISD.
Amanda joined the team at Bulverde North Family Dental in 2017 and brought with her extensive experience in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, and general dentistry. She works both in the office and clinically and our patients benefit from her experience in working with insurance companies She greatly enjoys seeing patients smile and enjoy the benefits of excellent function and appearance. Certified: Coronal Polishing, Nitrous oxide monitoring, registered Dental Assistant (RDA) CPR
Sarah brings several years of experience to BNFD.She plays multiple roles at the office from hygienist, to office manager, to assistant.She and Dr. Frei have been married since 2020.She loves to visit with friends and family every chance she gets.
Gigi has over two decades of experience as a dental hygienist, and has been working with Dr. Frei for the last 10 years. She also had the opportunity to work as a dental hygienist in Switzerland. Gigi and her husband of 25 years, Brian, have been blessed with two awesome boys Tanner and Tyler. In her spare time, Gigi enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
Maria has been Dr. Freis lead assistant for over 15 years. She has two athletic children that keep her busy at sporting events. Maria and her family love to travel, and most recently had a blast in Disney World.
Kelly joined the BNFD family in 2019.She plays an intricate role fulfilling any task on the clinical side, and the administrative side.Kelly brings years of knowledge in cosmetic dentistry, patient education, and creating a positive patient experience. Family is very important to Kelly.She loves to spend time with her husband, OJ, and two young children, Christian and Camryn.She enjoys traveling and time at the beach.

Dr. Frei and his staff are outstanding! I recently moved to the area and this practice welcomed me and made me feel like a part of their family. After going to the same dentist in Houston for about 20 years, I was not sure what to expect. Wish I could offer up 6 stars!

I am new to the area and have had the same dentist for years so I was a bit apprehensive, but WOW I am blown away with customer service. This group is exceptional and I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a great dental experience!

I had a procedure a few days ago in this office for the first time. Dr. Frei's staff explained the process well, ensuring I was well informed and comfortable. All staff were professional and answered all of my questions. Everyone made me feel very comfortable and at ease. The tooth extraction was painless. Later the same day, I received a follow-up call from Dr. Frei to ensure everything went well. Overall I had an excellent experience.

Very pleased with the service, from front desk, to dental assistant, and dentist. Incredibly friendly, thorough and polite. Pricing reasonable and helpful to get the best solution for each patient. Looking forward to making this my home dental office and love that each room has a window looking outside where lots of birds and wildlife come through.

I just moved to the area and have been looking for a local Dentist. Read great reviews about this location and decided to give it a try. They took me in on an emergency visit 20 mins after making the call. They were great from start to finish and answered every question I had. This will be my Dentist moving forward no question!

They are always friendly, on time and consistent. I don't go as often as I should but they seem to remember every detail of my life and then some. I've been impressed with every visit. No matter how many years go by...nothing changes!

My husband and I are patients. I decided to try our 4 and 2 yr old there (vs the pedi dentist they had gone to). EVERYONE was amazing. My 2 yr old was a bit traumatized at her first pedi dentist visit. Gigi was so patient and kind with her that my daughter even let her try the polisher on her teeth. Kelly and Amanda were just as sweet with them. It was their first "happy visit" so there was a quick pop-in from Dr. Frei. He showed the same patience and kindness as the ladies. See you in 6 months!

Dr. Frei and his staff were very professional and thorough. His expertise would be able to meet any dental needs that I might have. It's just nice to find a dentist that you can trust to have your best interest at heart! Just experienced the most thorough and painless root canal today that I've ever had in my life. Dr. Frei's expertise is second to none! Thank God I can put my dental worries behind me.

I have had ALOT of dental work in my life. I can honestly say the work done today -- from the moment I walked in the door, through the prep, the crown work, and finishing the temp work, was the best experience I have had. After several hours following my visit, I am not as sore as I thought I would be. Thanks, Dr. Frei and staff!

Perfect first experience. The office is located in a very nice and scenic areas where you can watch the birds and squirrels play while you are in the chair. The front office was nice and helpful with scheduling the appointment and helping me with the new patient paperwork. The hygienist was very gentle and kind. You could tell she enjoys what she does. Dr. Frei is a great dentist and even better person. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. Not once did I feel like anyone was trying to sell me anything unnecessary. I will certainly be back with the restoration my family.
