Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.

An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.

Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

Nice, clean and efficient office. Front desk staff was welcoming. Dr Edwards was very thorough during exam. I feel very confident in diagnosis and treatment plan. She answered all of my questions to great satisfaction. Gladys showed great care with scaling my teeth. No splash, firm but not rough with cleaning. She even changed her gloves after handling equipment before she flossed my teeth! The only reason I did not rat 5 stars is due to exray experience with Maggie. She was friendly enough but never changed her gloves after touching xray equipment and computer keyboard then took bite exrays where she needed to reach inside my mouth. I tried not to swallow and asked to go rinse my mouth out but she insisted in concluding all pics before allowing me to do so.

Waiting 1 hour and 40 minutes and still haven't been called in for my appointment. Wait time is excessive. 15 minutes I could understand, but 1 and 1/2 hours wait is too much. And with no explanation or word from anyone.

Most unpleasant experience I've ever had at a dental office. I went in today to have all four of my wisdom teeth extracted. Dr. Rex Cockrell was my oral surgeon and he was fantastic! But, pre and post-op was ridiculous. First, their X-ray machine wasn't working and they had to restart the machine 3-4 times. Each time they would have me sit back at the lobby, which I was okay with because I still had some paperwork to fill out (which I already had a week prior but the copy wasn't good enough). However, having me go back and forth, they wouldn't allow me to complete the paperwork. On the last time they asked to try again for the X-ray I decided to be assertive, that I would finish the paperwork, then I'll go get my X-ray. X-ray machine finally worked. Pre-op preparation was fine, anesthesia worked well so I didn't feel anything. HOWEVER. When I woke up, the two ladies that were removing the IV, EKG, and whatnot, they kept rambling about their coworkers and other patients, and they were speaking LOUDLY. I had just woken up from a SURGERY, how is this okay? It got extremely overwhelming since I had JUST woken up from the anesthesia, I had to signal for them to stop talking. One lady tried to blame it on the music, that it was probably giving me anxiety... what!? I shook my head and I pointed at both of them, indicating that THEY were the ones speaking loudly and they were the ones that were overwhelming me and causing said "anxiety." Most unpleasant and unprofessional experience, ever.

We were new in town, from Irving. My husband went for a dental cleaning. The Dentist found some things that needed attention. My husband explained to the Dentist that we had very good dental insurance & to Discuss with him first Any dental work that would not be covered. She said she understood. One year later she sends us a bill for $1,000.00!!!! Everyone tells the dentists this stuff. It's not new. So please watch out for these Dentists at Belverde Dentistry. They definitely tried to price gouge us!!!! Awful!

Go elsewhere. Rude people work here and they overcharge. Lack of communication prior to appointments. There are tons of dentists around here that are kind and have empathy..and they are not one of them.

So thankful for Dr. Garza and Bulverde Dentistry. They have been amazing to work with--through root canals, payment plans, an extraction, abscesses, infections, and have made my 5-year dental health nightmare finally come to a happy ending. Couldn't recommend a practice or dental staff any more highly than this team has earned. Thank y'all so much!!

Overall a great experience, but I was disappointed in my cleaning. Dr. Edwards was amazing and I didn't feel like the exam was rushed. We talked about multiple concerns I had and I left feeling like my questions were heard and solved. The dental assistant who took my X-rays was very sweet and they went by quickly. My cleaning, unfortunately, only lasted for 5 minutes max. No Cavitron was used, only hand instruments, and the polishing wasn't nearly as thorough as it usually is. My hygienist was so kind, but as someone who appreciates a good cleaning, I left feeling areas that aren't as smooth as they normally are after.

So Happy! It had been over ten years since I had seen a dentist so as you can imagine I was a little nervous about going. I found Bulverde Dentistry online when I was searching for a place close by and I am so glad I made the right choice. I can't tell you how pleased I was with the service, care and treatment I experienced after three visits. Everything was explained before treatment and all my questions were answered without feeling rushed through the visit. Go visit Catherine Garza, DDS and her wonderful team at Bulverde Dentistry she will spend the time to make sure you are confident and comfortable with your dental plan treatment.

Had an amazing experience for my first visit at Bulverde Dentistry. I had Dr. Garza and Paula work with me and each was very thorough and knowledgeable. All were very personable and took time to answer any questions I had. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a dentist!

Felt like the oil change place finding every little opportunity to nickel and dime you. First off their online scheduling does not work. Both my wife and I were asked to reschedule our appts because the "available" times on the website were not actually available. Ok, no big deal. 20-minute wait after the scheduled time to be seen after being asked to arrive 15 minutes before the appointment. Again, not the end of the world. Then after I had been there nearly two hours for X rays and a gum test and still hadn't got my teeth cleaned, they brought out the recommended treatments and costs while I'm still in the chair. Apparently in less than a year since moving and leaving my last dentist my teeth just need a ton of work all of the sudden. I have never had a dentist review pricing while I was still in the chair that is always handled at the front. I found this to be very unprofessional. When questioning the prices Dr. Garza became very defensive. She acted like I was the first person she's ever had question their pricing. She should be able to calmly and rationally justify the cost of their treatments if they were necessary. I also found it unprofessional each time she disparaged my former dentist when explaining how my experiences differed. I asked for a standard cleaning and Dr. Garza said defensively "ok, I'll talk to the hygienist it's her license" and "you have sign a waiver for us to just do just the standard cleaning". This is when I left. Nearly 2 hours wasted and my teeth not cleaned. STAY AWAY!

Completely taken back by their refusal to provide a regular cleaning. I recently got dental insurance and I want to get a regular cleaning. They refuse to do this because they say I need a deep clean, which would not be covered by the insurance. Several months back I went to my dentist back home and he mentioned that I do not need a deep clean but he did recommend I have regular cleanings twice a year. I was excited to get dental insurance for the first time but now this office refuses to provide the service unless I pay additional out of pocket. I saw them about a year due to a dental emergency. I paid nearly $3000 for a root canal and a crown and now they say they wont let insurance dictate the services they provide.

They refuse to do a basic cleaning that would be covered by my insurance. I saw another dentist a few months ago back home and was told I do not require a deep clean. He recommended I continue with regular cleanings twice a year, but this office refused. I visited them twice about 10 months ago due to an emergency, i guess I won't be going back.

Had such a great experience at my dental appointment with Dr Garza and her staff. I recently had a crown placed and from start to finish there were no issues or pain. The hygienists is awesome , knowledgeable, and really explained the gum disease process to me. My deep cleaning was also painless and my teeth and gums look great. Thanks for saving my teeth and health, I will be back.

Super shady and unethical. They don't tell you how expensive your optional procedure is going to be until after they've done it. They stick you with a super high bill and sign you up for a credit card. The credit card company they use is absolutely awful with hundreds of dollars of hidden fees. We all remember Wells Fargo Bank got slammed for signing people up for credit cards against their knowledge or by using manipulative jargon, where is the accountability with these folks. Go literally anywhere else but here. You'll be full of regret with a pile of debt if you use their services.

Paula Pisani, RDH Hygienst cleaned my teeth. I am nearing 70 and have had my teeth cleaned every 6 months for as long as I can remember. She did such a thorough job. I experienced no pain. She was pleasant, as well as highly skilled. I am 100% satisfied!

This is by far the best dentist I've ever been to. Very friendly, courteous, and professional staff. I love that they take care of all my dental needs in one visit. No come back for this or that like other places. Love that a lot of the patient info is done online so no need to print or keep unnecessary papers around the house or filing cabinets. My whole family comes here and I wouldn't change it. Dr. Garza, nurse Magi, and everyone else are amazing individuals. Thanks for everything.
