I have worked with this dental office in a professional setting and I was not impressed. The office manager (Dr. Dano's wife) is very rude. A previous employee of mine worked there one day, and I decided to walk into the office to see how things were going. While in earshot of the hygienist and patients, the front desk said very loudly, that the hygienist was "frumpy". Whatever that means... I sent another dental hygienist to work at the office and Dr. Dano's wife said the hygienist's hair was "nappy". Mind you, I have never gotten bad remarks about either employees.... EVER. Disgusting. Whatever reviews are on the actual website... IDK... I would trust these Google reviews over any of those. Again, I have never been to the office as a patient- nor will I ever be a patient, but I have worked with the office professionally. I am no longer in the field (my choice) and thought it was time to share my experiences. If you are a dental professional looking for work- work anywhere else in McHenry County. Much love to everyone else.

Don't waste your breathe with this place! They are the most lying and conceiving business I have ever worked with. They are not helpful at all, they will make you pay in full upfront thinking that you will get something back from your insurance, and in reality you get nothing back. They told me my daughters dental procedure is now medical and we had to pay $700 out of pocket and we get nothing back now because the dentist is not in our medical coverage. They are the worst group of people I have ever worked with in my life. When I called them back to ask for dental codes on the master bill they wouldn't give me anything because they said that "her procedure is medical because she has no teeth." So the fact that a baby has no teeth now it is not dental. I guess a dentist is now a medical doctor. I am so upset with them I could go on and on.

I have been a patient of Dr. Dano's for over 30 years. When I originally started visiting his practice, I had the early stages of gum disease. Thanks to the excellent suggestions and work by Dr. Dano and his team, my teeth are in excellent shape, and I'm told I will most likely keep them for the rest of my life. People sometimes don't like to hear that they are not perfect and need some work, but they do what is best for their patients and for me it paid off.

The dentist is "in network" with my dental insurance. They had many overcharges for lab fees that I felt were billed in error so I put a claim in with my insurance company. The insurance company did a full financial review and found that the dentist office overcharged my be $485.00. The office sent me a refund check for $485.00 along with a letter stating I was no longer a compatible patient because I agreed to services then didn't want to pay for them. Not true. I agreed to services but because they are in network with my insurance they should only charge what the insurance company allows. Look out as all they want is extra money from their patients. I'm happy to say I found a much better, qualified dentist that is in network that only charges what the insurance company allows. Run from Dr Dano and his rude office manager!!

Dr. Dano is the best! My family and I use him for ALL of our dental needs. There isn't much he cannot do out of his office unlike most dentists that send you to 3 different specialists. Dr. Dano and his team have brought back my smile painlessly without costing a fortune!

Dr Dano is the best dentist I have ever been to. I was a little nervous because I had some less than great experiences with other dentists in the past. Dr. Dano turned out to be fantastic. He takes the time to explain everything. The office itself is very new and state of the art. His staff is top notch and his hygienist Randi is great with kids and is very thorough. You get to watch TV while having your teeth worked on as well. All around Professionals!

I've been going to Bull Valley Dentistry for about 8 years now. Prior to I've seen several different dentist and hygienist... none have ever measured up to the quality that I receive here. Dr Dano has done exceptional work to my teeth. I've needed quite a bit of work due to poor dentistry and lack of routine self care. Dr Dano has been very thorough, efficient, and helpful over the years. I've noticed a huge improvement since I've started coming here. I've also see Randy the hygienist and am extremely pleased with my cleanings. She has also been very thorough, efficient, and helpful. My overall oral health has improved greatly and BVD has been my advocate along with stepping up my daily care.

I go in for a tooth pull... they said I was covered by my Insurance... walk out of my appointment and they tell me we have bad news your not covered and bills are heading to collections because I couldn't afford what they did to me.

He got a bad name for NO REASON. Just another dentist. Prices a bit high, but given that there is no good alternative, I went there and it went OK. Ask for discounts though!

Courteous and friendly staff. Very knowledgeable able to perform from simple cleaning to Orthodontics and tongue tie and everything in between.
