Dr. Bolton grew up in a very small town near Canada. She received her Bachelor of Science from SUNY Binghamton in 1994. She moved to North Carolina to do research and teach, but found the art of dentistry much more fascinating. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from University of North Carolina Dental School at Chapel Hill. Sheworked atWillowdaile Family Dentistrystarting in April 2005.With patient feedback in mind, she designed Bull City Smiles,to createa dream office for herself and her patients.

Dr. Bolton is a comprehensive cosmetic and family dentist who loves dentistry and it shows! Her philosophy is conservative and she loves helping people restore and maintain their dental health through patient education, a gentle touch, and lots of TLC. She loves to teach and takes time to educate, and answer questions to help you maintain your smile for life!

Dr Bolton is currently a member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry. She has been voted Best of Durham for many years (thank you!), and her office was featured in Durham Magazine in 2015. Dr. Bolton is happily married and is the proud parent of two daughters, Jessica and Julia. When she is not treating patients she enjoys camping, hiking andworking on their organicfarm in Rougemont and spending R&R time at Hyko Lake.

James Jorge, DDS Dr. James Jorge was born and raised in the small town of Lewisberry, PA. His passion for science and medicine spurred him to earn his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland. He then went on to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to receive a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree.

Dr. Jorge believes in a philosophy where each patient is treated the same way he would treat a member of his family. Listening to patients concerns, ensuring they are as comfortable as possible, and providing quality treatment are his top priorities. From customizing treatment plans for each individual patient to learning new techniques with the latest technology, Dr. Jorge is always willing to go the extra mile to make your dental experience the absolute best it can be. Working with patients to alleviate discomfort and restore not just their smile but their confidence as well is one of the most rewarding aspects of dentistry, and Dr. Jorge looks forward to helping patients in any way he can.

Dr. Jorge is a member of the ADA and the North Carolina Dental Society. He had the opportunity to be a part of a team during a dental mission trip to provide dental care at the Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos orphanage in Miacatlan, Mexico; it was an incredibly rewarding experience that has helped influence his practice of clinical dentistry and patient education. Dr. Jorge met his wife, also a dentist, while in dental school. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Jorge loves spending time hiking, playing soccer, cooking, and playing with his German Shepherd, Gus.

Heather Insurance Specialist and Treatment Coordinator Heatherwas born and raised inRoxboro, NC. She joined us to begin a career in dentistry in 2011. Heather is a quick learner with a contagious personality. She is known for remembering your name and making you laugh at every visit.Heather got engaged in October 2005 in front of Cinderellas Castle in Disney! She loves to spend time with her fianc, Greg, and Chihuahua, Dallas, takingat the beach.She is also a MAJOR UNC basketball and baseball fan! She enjoys cooking, making crafts with her cricket and jazzercise.

Ironically, before Heather met us she had a huge dental phobia. We helped herconquerthose fears and now she actually looks forward to her own dental visits. Because of this, she knows the importance of helping patients feel comfortable, from their first phonecall to their last goodbye smile.

Amanda, RDH Amanda is a native of Michigan and moved to Raleigh in 2003.A 1997 graduate of Lansing Community College, Amanda was attracted to dentistry for the opportunity to truly help people and create beautiful, healthy smiles. Our practice allows herto accomplish both of those and work with a team that was committed to advancing their skills and knowledge with dentistry and technology. Amanda has been a member of our family since 2010.Amanda develops a rapport quickly with her patients and puts each one at ease in her chair. She has developed many lasting relationships as a result, and her patients keep coming back! She loves instructing patients on their oral hygiene home care in a thorough way, and is actively invested in their overall oral wellness and improvement.

Amanda and her husband, Jim, have two boys, Avery and Camden. She enjoysexercising and spending time with her family. You can usually find her walking her miniature schnauzers, Stella and Tucker, or cheering on her boys at one of their sporting events.

Shawnetta, RDH Shawnetta is a native of Durham, North Carolina, and she did not have to travel very far to attend her dream school. She attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene and became a registered dental hygienist in 2011. Shawnetta is known for her gentle touch and comforting voice among her patients, because of this her patients feel very relaxed with her. She is very active in her church and is able to display a few of her talents there that involve singing and teaching dance to young girls in the Clayton, NC community. We are very thankful that Shawenetta brings her faith and ministry with her every day, by leading our morning prayer circle. Shawnetta enjoys working in the dental field and has made it her motto to change the world one smile at a time!

Jessica, DAII Jessica is from Roxboro, NC, and has been a dental assistant with our team since 2009.Jessica really loves her job and it shows. Sheis known for her thorough, detailed care and ability to read Dr. Boltons mind. She is a true professional, as patients love her. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family at Hyko Lake and playing corn hole.

Jessicas favorite part of her job is the relationships she has built with so many of our patients. Jessica looks forward to making you feel right at home for your dental treatment! She is very detailed and thorough and enjoys making everything perfect as much as Dr. Bolton!

Ivette, DAII Ivette is a native of New York; she was born and raised there. At the age of 19 she moved to Connecticut where she met her husband of 16 years. Ivette and her husband live in the Brier Creek area of Raleigh. They have an elementary school age son named Dominick who is a self-proclaimed Very Clever Artist, Author and Illustrator. He attends Brier Creek Elementary. In addition, they have a Senior (all black, male) Pug named Buffalo Bill, who they call Buffy for short.

Ivette has been in the dental field since 1995. She has a combined 24 years of experience in various branches of dentistry which include orthodontics, pediatric, general and cosmetic dentistry, and was also an educator for an accredited dental assisting program in Connecticut for two and a half years. She holds all certifications to meet the requirements for DAII status in North Carolina and she is also certified through the Dental Assisting National Board in Infection Control and Radiology.

When not at work she enjoys spending time with her family and going for brisk walks. I love helping people, and I love my career as a dental assistant! My goal is to always provide my patients with a non-judgmental, comfortable and informative visit. I feel like I have found my dental home here at Bull City Smiles! I love working with Dr. Jorge and Dr. Bolton as well as with my co-workers. Most importantly, I have had the opportunity to build a rapport with my patients which is very important to me.
