Dr. Rocha has been teaching endodontics at the University Of Illinois College Of Dentistry in Chicago since 2007. Dr. Rocha received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Bahia Federal University, Brazil, where she also received her post-doctorate specialty training in endodontics.
Dr. Rocha was born and raised in Salvador, Brazil. Like many adventurous young students, she dreamed of traveling the world. Her main desire was to live in the United States but not before she completed her education. After completing her specialty training in endodontics in Brazil, Dr. Rocha knew it was time to act on her adventurous spirit and see the world. She was accepted to the University of Illinois College Of Dentistry for additional post-doctorate training and received her Masters Degree (MS) in Oral Sciences. Soon thereafter, she entered into the dental schools post-doctorate endondontics program to receive additional training. Upon completion of the program, Dr. Rocha received her specialty license to practice endodontics in the United States.
While at the University of Illinois, Dr. Rocha earned several research awards, including the Hinman Excellence Award in Student Research in 2004, the SIGMA XI Graduate Basic Science Award in 2005, and the American Association of Endodontics Resident Award in 2006. She was also invited to join the faculty of the University of Illinois Dental School in 2007 to teach endodontics to undergraduate and post-graduate students. In 2008, Dr. Rocha accepted the honor of serving as a member of the Journal of Endodontics Scientific Advisory Board.
Along with her rigorous academic accomplishments, Dr. Rocha married and had a beautiful daughter, Ana Catharina. Not allowing her academic accomplishments to diminish the importance of family, Dr. Rocha has now traded off the late night hours of studying to spend time with her daughter enjoying her motherhood.

I just want to thank Dr. Rocha and her assistants so very much. I would also like to thank the super nice ladies at the front desk. Everyone was so nice to me. The office is beautiful and calming. The Dr. And her assistant made me feel at ease. They made sure my pain was controlled and made sure all my needs were met. I had my first root canal and I'm so glad it's over. The process was quick. I called on a Monday and got treatment the next day. I really want to thank you all again for all that you do...

I came here for a root canal hoping for a nice experience as I typically have during my root canals. (I suffer from RCA also known as root canal addiction.) However when I came to this establishment I received one of the worst root canals of my entire life! They where beyond unprofessional and when I requested to not have any numbing they denied me. They got have way through when I relished they used the wrong type of drill. At this point I got up and left and finished it at my house.0/5

The best dental care you can receive. The Dr. and staff do everything possible to keep you as comfortable as possible. From the moment you walk in till you leave you are treated with kindness and respect. The Dr. does everything medically possible to minimize any discomfort.

This practice is amazing! I do not ever write reviews, but this was such an incredibly positive experience (and let's face it, how is that even possible when you are going in for a root canal?!?), that I had to write a review. Dr. Rocha and her wonderful team were incredible. Without going into all of the details, they went so far above and beyond, I was shocked. They truly exemplify what it means to care for your patient. I was a new patient who had never had a root canal, so was very nervous about going somewhere I'd never been before. My dentist referred me to Bucktown Endodontics, and boy was she right! I whole heartedly recommend Bucktown Endodontics. They are truly caring, super supportive, and to top it off, they have great taste in music while you are having your procedure!

Bucktown Endodontics is incredible! A root canal is no fun for anyone. Dr. Rocha made the entire procedure comfortable, walking me through the whole process as she explained every step. All of my questions and concerns were answered. The procedure was painless. Also, I would like to thank the friendly and professional staff. I highly recommend Bucktown Endodontics for anyone needing a root canal.

I want to offer my absolute highest level of admiration and praise to Dr. Rocha and the entire Bucktown Endodontics staff! I was referred by my dentist of 25 years and now I know why. Professionalism is a given and honestly, it is to be expected wherever we go. What sets them apart is the ambiance of the office, synergy of her staff and the caring touch offered by Dr. Rocha. She explains every step in general terms before beginning and pauses several times during the procedure to make adjustments for pain and comfort. With relaxing music in the background and a spotless work area, I was literally able to take a nap during my root canal! Coming from a person who has undergone extensive dental surgeries and procedures at several major hospital systems, I give a 14 out of 10 for this experience. Thank you Dr. Rocha and Company for your effortless professionalism and attention to detail and thank you for representing us all in the space that has become Bucktown. Keep up the great work!

I was seen by Dr. Rocha for a dental emergency, they took me immediately after my dental appontment without notice. The pain I had was gone almost immediately when I left, they did a thorough evaluation and completed the surgery successfully. Dr. Rocha and her staff did an exceptional job.

Update: Google won't let me delete this review so I will add that the office called me back to offer me a free consult to make things right. I've already booked somewhere else but appreciate this offer. The other reviews are great so maybe this was an isolated negative experience. Was supposed to have a consult for a cracked tooth this morning. They never called me prior to the appointment to discuss insurance/costs as promised. When I got there they told me it would be almost $400 for a consult WITH my insurance. No thank you. Save your money. I called two other places to check pricing. One wasn't even in network and was half the cost this place was charging for a consult. They may be great, I don't know, seems over priced to me.
