Buckley Dental Care - General dentist in Buckley, WA

Raised in Lynnwood, WA, Dr. Javaid Chaudhry is excited to continue giving back to his lovely home state and proud to be serving the families in Pierce County. His passion for dentistry comes from being able to help and work with people across all age ranges, from toddlers to grandparents.

Dr. Chaudhry earned his B.S. in biology from the University of Washington. He then attended New York University College of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree before returning to Washington. While furthering his education, Dr. Chaudhry volunteered his time and expertise to a community health center in New York City's International District in efforts to serve the underprivileged population.

Upon graduation, Dr. Chaudhry decided it was time to move home. Before joining Buckley Dental Care, Dr. Chaudhry practiced dentistry with a few other offices in locations as far north as Burlington, Seattle, Tacoma and Bonney Lake.

Grateful to have grown up in Enumclaw, Shelly has always had an appreciation for the beautiful outdoors of the Pacific Northwest. She lives in South Prairie with her husband and two kids who also enjoy hiking, biking, camping, kayaking, skiing and snowboarding anything outdoors.

Since graduating from the dental hygiene program at Pierce College in 2004, she has worked in Enumclaw for several years and as a temp in dental offices all over the Puget Sound to ensure that she stays on the cutting edge with new developments in dental hygiene.

Working as a dental hygienist for the past 12 years has taught her how much she truly enjoys working with patients and helping to ensure that they have the most comfortable, relaxing experience possible.

She joined Buckley Dental Care in August 2016 and is excited to have found such a caring and compassionate group that always makes their patient's needs and understanding of dentistry their number 1 priority. She loves meeting new people and looks forward to providing you with an enjoyable dental experience.

This dental center is nothing but AMAZING. I was greeted by Lanie when i entered the lobby and was taken right back. I explained to her my anxiety and how bad it was due to tramatic experiences as a child with dental visits and treatments. As my tears came uncontrolled...she held my hand and provided me Kleenex during my procedure and the Dr talked to me very kindly explaining everything to help keep me calm! This was the most comforting experience I have ever had. I was not belittled. I was extremely impressed by the care and time they took to help me. The receptionist was also very kind and accomedating helping me to schedule my next appt. This is the place you need to be going to for care whether it be routine or otherwise. Thank you to all the staff here for being so understanding.

I am writing this review on behalf of my mother who received dental care from this establishment. She had to get some teeth pulled in order to get her dentures. When I picked her up she was in tears, which is the only time I have EVER seen my mom cry. She was appalled by how rude and abrasive the dentist himself was. She didn't feel listened to at all and rushed through the procedure. Unfortunately, this isn't where the story stops. As she is healing, she is still in a lot of pain. She goes to her denture appointment and they could not complete it because there was still teeth fragments left behind from the extraction. Despite never wanting to see this dentist again, my mom went back to get the fragments removed. Again, she left with the same complains that he was rude and rushed the service. Days go by and she is still in pain. She goes back to the denture office and they still could not complete her dentures because there was still fragments of teeth left behind. She ultimately went to another dentist who finally got this issue taken care of. I am sure that this is going to get some sort of condescending reply from the business owners (if you look at any negative review, they have rude things to say to try to blame the patient) but we will never recommend our family or friends to us this dentist office.

Very friendly welcoming staff. The assistant was very knowledgeable, Dr Chaudhry's chairside manner was very professional. He explained everything so I could understand. I was unsure about getting an implant but he totally eased my mind and worries. If you are looking for a great dentist I highly recommend Buckley Family Dentistry for all your dental needs.

Great staff. Friendly, personable. I like that I can book online. However, Dentist is condescending and passive aggressive. He doesn't listen well and talks over you. He misunderstood my question, then lectured me about starting a plan (which I had on my last visit less than 4 months ago), and wouldn't let me explain what I meant. If he would slow down, listen, lower his yelling-type voice, his bedside manner would improve drastically. Im not the only person to find this is the case. As a nurse, I work in a fast paced trauma unit at a large hospital in Seattle. I am very aware of how to handle situations where I don't agree with my patient and that is not it. Please take the time to listen and let your patient feel validated despite your opinions. Also, when you are finished, please ask them if they are okay, if they have any questions and say goodbye. Just getting up and walking out is unprofessional.

The dentists and hygienists at Buckley Dental listen to your needs and stay within the boundaries you set. My son who would not go to a dentist has found Buckley Dental and loves both dentists there. A real relief for a mom!!

I like the hygienist, I believe she does an amazing job. Dr. Chaudhry has always been quick and through with the dental care he has provided to me. However, in this time of Covid he does not require his front office staff to take precautions to protect his patients. This makes me sad and I'm sorry he has no regard for his patients Health and well being

Update: Dr text me to let me know the coast is clear! Stephanie is no longer with the office! Yay! Stephanie in front office is hard to work with. She comes off condescending/rude. I am willing to bet this is not the first time they have heard that. I received a text alert that I had an appt the next day. I had forgotten the appt and needed to re-schedule so, I called. Stephanie did her level best to guilt me into showing up for it. I told her, with a laugh, that I refuse to feel guilty about it. It was at that point that she told me they "require" 48 hrs notice. (My question: Why not send the text 48 hrs in advance then?) In that case just cancel it and I will find somewhere else. She replied that they don't charge for it but, kept insisting that they need to keep their schedule full. Guess what? I pay you. BTW, I spent over $5K in your office, on a dental emergency last fall. I finally get dental insurance only to have this lady hassle me for re-scheduling 1 appt. Needless to say I found somewhere else to spend my hard earned money. I liked the Dr. and the Assistants. Just can't stomach Stephanie's bad attitude.

I found Dr Chaudhry to have poor communication skills. I felt rushed and that the dentist wasn't listening to me nor took me seriously. I found the service lacking in professionalism and respect. I experienced a lack of compassion and understanding for the pain I was going through. I would recommend avoiding this dentist.
