Dr. Buckenheimer attended West Virginia University to attain his undergraduate degree in Biology. He then earned his DMD Degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1980. He came to Tampa that year and underwent a General Practice Residency program for one year. Dr. Buckenheimer has practiced General Dentistry in Tampa since 1981.
Dr. Buckenheimer has been President of several dental organizations throughout his career, giving back to the profession of dentistry. He served as President of the Hillsborough County Dental Association, the Hillsborough County Dental Research Clinic, the West Coast District Dental Association and the Florida Dental Association. He has been a Board member of the Florida Dental Association Foundation for over 25 years and was their President for two years. He is currently Floridas Trustee to the American Dental Association whose headquarters are based in Chicago. He serves on various committees and as a Board member of the American Dental Associations Foundation and the Dental Lifeline Network.
Dr. Buckenheimer enjoys his patients and giving back to the community. He has organized several charity events and has served on many community service boards. He also enjoys golf, travel, flyfishing and spending time with family.
Dr. Bulnes was born and raised in Tampa. Attended the University of South Florida to attain his undergraduate degree in Chemistry. He then earned his DMD Degree from Southern Illinois University in 2000. He then obtained his Advanced Education in General Dentistry in 2001 from Southern Illinois University. Dr. Bulnes has practiced General Dentistry in Tampa since 2001.
Dr. Bulnes enjoys his patients and giving back to the community. He has organized several charity events and has served on many community service boards. Dr. Bulnes and his wife, Kelsey, have three children. Outside interests include spending time with family, traveling, coaching, golf, distance running, and triathlon.
Dr. Sheffield was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, and attended the Academy of the Holy Names from Kindergarden through High School. She attended the University of Notre Dame and earned her undergraduate degree in Science Business in 2005, then received her doctorate of dental surgery from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2009. Following dental school she practiced general dentistry in Chicago for six years, and recently decided to return to Tampa to be closer to her family and escape the cold winters of the Midwest.
Dr. Sheffield is an active member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Hillsborough County Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Diana graduated from St. Petersburg Jr. College and has been a hygienist for 29 years. She has been a proud member of our staff since 2005. Diana has continued her dental education by getting certified to administer anesthesia. On her down time, she volunteers her services to organizations such as Mission of Mercies, which provides free dental care for those in need.
Jenna was born in Tampa, FL and attended University of Tampa and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2007. She furthered her education at St Petersburg College and received her Associate of Science in Dental Hygeine in 2013. Jenna resides in South Tampa and is married to Ryan and recently a new addition arrived. Bouncing baby boy Jackson. She enjoys her Hungarian Vizsla Wrangler.
her favorite place to work is here in Florida. Her approach to hygiene stems from her past career in education focusing on preventative dentistry centered around patient education. In her spare time Alison enjoys eating.
Yeiced was born in Camaguey, Cuba and moved to the United States when she was 10 years old. She is a graduate of AP Leto High School and attained her Expanded Functions Dental Assistant degree from Concorde Technical College in 2018. Yeiced is fluent in Spanish and English.
Yeiced joined our team in 2019 and she looks forward to working with our family of patients to ameliorate their oral health. In her spare time, Yeiced enjoys spending time with her family and friends and traveling around the world
She has two shih tzu that she takes with her on road trips whenever the opportunity comes along for her. If she is not traveling to see different cities, she enjoys nature walks, reading, kayaking, wine tasting, or hanging out with her family and friends.
Jelyitsa Rubis has 13 years experience in the dental field. Shes a native Texan that resides in South Tampa with her husband of 7 years and two daughters. Together with her family, she enjoys to travel and spend time at the beach.
Teresa joined the practice in 1988 as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant where she worked along side of Dr. Buckenheimer for more than 10 years. She later joined the front office staff and furthered her education by earning an Associates of Arts degree at Hillsborough Community College followed by a Bachelors Degree at University of South Florida.
Teresa is proud to be a part of the Dental profession. She has taught in the Dental Assisting program at Hillsborough Community College and is currently serving as the Chairperson for the Dental Advisory Committee.
Teresa was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. She is married with 2 children, a son and a daughter and 2 granddaughters. Teresa is an avid reader and she and her husband enjoy camping, visiting National parks and serving those in need.

Everyone working at Buckenheiner and Bulnes are great, very professional and friendly from the administrative staff to the dental hygienists to the Doctors. I had my regular cleaning this week and had some work to clean up a filing in my front teeth done by Terry Buckenheimer. Highly recommend.

Dr. Bulnes is the best dentist in all of Tampa as far as I am concerned. I drive over 30 minutes from north Tampa to his office. He is thorough and sensitive to your needs. They don't overcharge Dr. Bulnes backs up his service. If something goes wrong, he takes care of it. The ladies in the office are extremely friendly and everyone there makes you feel comfortable. I won't ever go to another dentists office.
