Orthodontics is a passion of mine. I love to see a smile I helped create and the confidence it gives my patients. My goal for each patient is to achieve an excellent result and I take the necessary time, thought and effort to reach this goal. I enjoy making a difference, even in some small way, in the lives of the people that come through our doors.

There is something special about helping people obtain a beautiful smile. I love working with so many different individuals from so many different backgrounds and helping each achieve the smile they deserve. Its exciting to watch their confidence grow as we improve their smile, and their inner light shines a little brighter.

I appreciate having the opportunity to use sound, clinically proven methods to achieve high quality results. In order to do this, it is necessary for me to stay up-to-date in the most advanced technology and innovations. Continuing education is an important part of being an orthodontist. I attend courses year-round to ensure I am keeping current on the latest technologies and treatments and providing my patients with the best quality of care.

Buck Orthodontics - Orthodontist in Klamath Falls, OR

A native of St. Anthony, ID, I currently reside in Klamath Falls with my wife, and our threechildren. While I certainly love practicing orthodontics, my family is truly the light of my life. I feel that being the best you can be for your family is one of the most important things you can do. I love being a dad and a husband. When time allows, I stay active with ATV riding, snowmobiling, and water skiing, as well as playing tennis, basketball, racquetball, golf, and soccer.

I find great joy in helping others and strengthening the community, which gives us all a better place to live. Whether coaching boys basketball, volunteering with the Boy Scouts, collecting food for the local food bank, or simply helping a neighbor in need, I enjoy being an active member of my community.

Helping people and being a positive person in someone's day is important to me. I want everyone who comes into our office to feel welcomed and valued. One of my favorite perks at work is daily seeing everyone's smiling faces. I have lived in Klamath Falls most of my life. I am married and have two children. Spending time with my family at sporting events, fishing and camping are some of my favorite things.

I enjoy seeing our wonderful patients each day at Buck Orthodontics. It is exciting to see how orthodontic treatment helps our patients grow and gain confidence in their smile. My goal in our office is to make sure our patients and their families have an amazing experience from beginning to end. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our five children. We love the outdoors, fishing, boating, kayaking, and going on family vacations.

Buck Orthodontics - Orthodontist in Klamath Falls, OR

I enjoy helping our patients progress in their treatment each day. Seeing how orthodontics can change people's lives, is my inspiration. During my time off, I enjoy riding my horses and being involved in competitions. I have lived in this area most of my life. I find joy in being outdoors and spending time with my friends and family.

My passion has always been to work in the dental industry, specifically, an orthodontist's office. I'm thankful to be living my dream. I'm originally from Bend, Oregon. I love to participate in activities outdoors like hiking, skiing, and spending time with my young daughter. Many people consider me humorous while I can still be a caring, loyal friend.

It is so neat to see how beautiful smiles can truly change lives and boost confidence as treatment progresses. I love being a part of each patient's journey. I am from Medford and moved to Klamath Falls in 2016. I absolutely love the area. Outside of work, my favorite things to do are to hang outwith family and friends, especially my husband and our 5 furry kids. We are obsessed with anything outdoors; hunting, fishing, kayaking, and golfing. We also love to travel.

An orthodontist is a dental specialist who has received two to three years of additional training and experience. Your orthodontist is able to straighten teeth, correct misaligned jaw structure, and improve the function of your smile.

If you want to improve the look and feel of your smile, then any age can be a great age to see the orthodontist. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children first visit an orthodontist around the age of seven; however, orthodontic treatment is not exclusive to children and teens, with about one in every five orthodontic patients being over the age of 21. Whether you're considering treatment for yourself or for a child, any time is a good time to visit the orthodontist.

  • Keep your retainer clean, too, by brushing it gently with a toothbrush and toothpaste. You may also soak it in denture cleaner as instructed by your orthodontist. Do not put your retainer in boiling water or in the dishwasher.
  • Avoid sticky and chewy foods (caramel, chewing gum, gummy bears), hard foods (hard candy, nuts, ice cubes), or any foods that could possibly get stuck in your braces (corn on the cob, soft bagels, ribs, taffy, etc.).
  • The amount of time spent in braces will vary depending on the individual patient, because every smile responds differently to treatment. Treatment times can take anywhere between six and 30 months, but most standard treatments take about 22 months.

With braces, you should brush your teeth at least three times a day to keep your teeth, gums, and mouth healthy and clean. Brushing regularly will help remove any food that may be caught between the braces. You should also floss daily to get in between your braces where your brush isn't able to reach. Your orthodontist can show you how to properly brush and floss once your braces are placed.

Yes! In fact, it's even more important that patients receiving orthodontic treatment visit their dentist regularly. With braces, food may be caught in places that your toothbrush can't reach. This causes bacteria to build up that can lead to cavities, gingivitis, and gum disease. Your dentist will work closely with your orthodontist to make sure that your teeth stay clean and healthy while wearing braces.

Playing an instrument or a contact sport may require some adjustment when you first get your braces, but wearing braces will not stop you from participating in any of your school activities. If you play a contact sport, it is recommended that you wear a mouthguard to protect your braces or appliance.
