Have you lost one or more permanent teeth? Do you wish to restore your smile? To replace missing teeth, Dr. Bryce E. Justesen may recommend dental implants in Mesa, Arizona. A dental implant is made up of a titanium implant post and a custom-made dental restoration. The implant post is surgically placed in your jawbone by a specialist, where it acts as replacement tooth roots. After your jawbone has healed, our dentist will attach the dental restoration to the implant post.
Dental implants have many advantages to you and your smile. They look and feel like your natural teeth, so they improve the beauty of your smile. The implant post is designed to fuse with your jawbone, so your dental implant will become a permanent part of your smile. Dental implants are very durable, lasting for many years or even a lifetime. Unlike dental bridges, dental implants do not require tooth reduction. Because of this, your long-term oral health is improved. Implants have several benefits over dentures. Dentures can move and slip in the mouth, making eating and speaking difficult. Because dental implants are a permanent part of your smile, you can eat and speak with ease.
Have your teeth become stained, chipped, or worn down? For patients who wish to change the color, shape, size, or length of their teeth, Dr. Bryce E. Justesen may recommend dental veneers in Mesa, Arizona. Dental veneers are thin, tooth colored shells that are custom-made to fit your teeth. The dentist will place the veneers on the fronts of your teeth to improve the appearance of your smile. Our dentist may use dental veneers to repair:
In our office, we use Lumineers, the leading brand of dental veneers. Lumineers are about as thin as a contact lens, so they can be applied seamlessly over teeth with ease. Traditional veneers are thicker than Lumineers, so they require more tooth enamel removal. Lumineers are minimally invasive, so there is usually no need for shots or temporary veneers. You will look and feel great while you wait for your custom-made Lumineers to be ready.
Are your teeth stained or discolored? Do you ever feel embarrassed or even ashamed of your smile? For a brighter smile that will boost your confidence, you should ask Dr. Bryce E. Justesen to tell you about our teeth whitening procedure in Mesa, Arizona. Our dentist can benefit patients whose teeth are discolored, and who do not have dental restorations. We cannot whiten restorations, such as dental fillings and dental crowns, since they will not react to the whitening product. If you whiten your teeth, your restorations will stand out in your new smile.
Our dentist is happy to offer both in-office and at-home whitening to our patients. With in-office teeth whitening, our dentist will apply the bleaching product directly to your teeth. Then the dentist will apply heat, by using a special light, or a laser, to enhance the effects of the teeth whitening product. In-office bleaching is the quickest way to whiten your smile. Most patients can see results in just one treatment. Because every mouth is different, you may need to have several treatments to achieve your desired results.
If you prefer, our dentist will supply you with a custom-made whitening tray and a gel product that you can use at home. You will need to wear the tray with the bleach as prescribed by our dentist. Usually, the treatment time is for several hours a day or during the night for up to four weeks.
