Orthodontics is the perfect marriage between the biological sciences, working directly with people, and working with my hands to create something tangible, lasting, and cosmetically beautiful. My greatest love, however, are the people I meet because of orthodontics. I get such joy in both treating and getting to know my patients for a brief window in their life. I see children come into the office with all kinds of malocclusion and misalignment, but over the course of a few years, I get to know them as individuals while correcting their orthodontic problems.
Of course, I would be unable to provide the quality of care I do without the help and support of my fantastic team. Each of my team members knows how important customer service is to my practice. They are caring, compassionate, and willing to go the extra mile to help meet our patients needs.
I am proud to live one mile from my main office in Basking Ridge, NJ. My wife Aurora and I have two children, Robbie and Natalia, who are the greatest gifts in my life. Family time comes first when Im away from the office. Im usually with kids at the beach, town pool, baseball field, or soccer practice.
Family is a gift from God, and faith is just as important. As a family, we attend St. James Church every Sunday and are active in many fundraising events for Church of SaintJames, the diocese of Metuchen, the Knights of Columbus, and Catholic Charities. Teaching our children to put God above all else is the most important life lesson there is!
I try to be grateful to God every day and help the less fortunate in any way I can. Professionally, I donate dental supplies to mission trips and participate in Smiles Change Lives and New Jersey Donated Orthodontic Services, both of which provide pro bono orthodontic care for children in families below the poverty level. Our office supports the community by sponsoring the marching band, little league, varsity football squad, girls cheerleading, boy scouts, and boys ice hockey, just to name a few.
On a personal level, I help fundraise and sponsor local events at SaintJames Parish and in the community for the needy here and elsewhere. I also help to coach Robbies tee-ball at Ridge Youth Baseball Little League.
As an orthodontist, I get to make a positive impact on peoples lives and dedicate my time to something that is beneficial and worthwhile. My goal is to make our patients time in our office fun, impactful, and memorable. Dr. Epshteyn
Leonid Epshteyn, D.M.D. attended SUNY Binghamton where he completed his Bachelors degree in Psychobiology and later his first Masters degree in Biology. Wanting to pursue his passion, he moved to New Jersey and attended Rutgers Dental School where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine and graduated at the top of his class.
Following dental school, Dr. Epshteyn wanted to continue his education so that he could provide the best care to his patients. He completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Staten Island University Hospital. It was there that he found his passion for orthodontics. Following his residency, he completed his orthodontic training at Temple University where he received his certificate in orthodontics and his second Masters degree in Oral Biology.
Since completing his formal education. Dr. Epshteyn has continued his education on orthodontic innovations and treatment methodologies. He regularly attends AAO meetings where he learns from international lecturers on the latest techniques and technologies from all over the world. Dr. Epshteyn is also a member of the American Dental Association.
Dr. Epshteyn grew up in Staten Island, New York, and currently resides in South Amboy, New Jersey. In his free time, Dr. Epshteyn enjoys hiking, working out, practicing Brazilian jujitsu, and spending time with his wife and son.

My goal is to make every new patient and family that walks into our office for the first time feel comfortable and excited about starting orthodontic treatment! I guide the families through their finances and any questions they have with insurance and the treatment. I also plan all the fun activities in the office and run contests for patients to enjoy. My favorite part of my job is working with all of the new families and getting to know everyone through the whole process of treatment. I love that my coworkers and I all get along so well, like a second family. We have a lot of fun at work and try to show that to our patients.
Outside the practice I love spending time with my family and our dog Lucas. I am fully committed to our daughter Camila (12) and most of my time is devoted to her. We cook, bake, and love to try new recipes and foods. In the warmer months we spend a great amount of time in the garden and walking the dog. We love short trips to the shore and various parks, too!
Bruzzichesi Orthodontics sees a lower volume of patients on any given day, which allows for better feedback on all cases, better communication with parents, more personal relationships with our patients and families, and very low wait times.

Dr. B is so compassionate, gentle and a master at what he does. Initially when we started, my daughter really struggled with the expanders, so he listened to my concerns and slooowed it down, so my daughter could adjust to the discomfort easier . She needed two phases to completely fix her teeth and not once has she cribbed about going to his office. He and his staff really took their time to perfect her smile! We interviewed all the local orthodontists and he was the only one that seemed to have a strong educational background (Harvard Graduate!!!) and really caring about each and every child. Most others felt like my kid would just be on a "conveyer belt" as they churned out hundreds of patients in a day! So definitely meet Dr.B before you decide on anyone else! Scheduling with them is a breeze. They always saw us when scheduled, I have never had to wait at the reception for long. Parent is allowed to go back to the treatment area with their child, which was huge plus for us!! They are very accommodating and lovely to deal with.. not only Dr. B but the entire office!! Highly, Highly Recommend!!

I cannot even begin to express my gratitude and satisfaction with everything these beautiful humans have done for me. Getting braces was the hard part. Everything else? Incomparably efficient and amazing. They have treated me like family and took care of every concern and potential issue I may have encountered. The process both physically and monetarily was seamless and simple. Always so kind and accommodating, I am a little upset that I pretty much finished my treatment because I don't get to see them every few months! A wonderful team, multiple offices that makes scheduling easier, and amazing orthodontic work. I love my teeth and I love them more! Go in and see them, they'll take care of the rest. :)

I have been going to Dr. Bruzzichesi since I was a kid. I've had braces many years ago and more recently just finished an invisalign treatment. I even travel across state lines for my visits because he is the only one I trust with my teeth. He is a very kind, knowledgeable, and positive person who always wants the best for his patients. He has a fun office environment (lots of prizes and tvs and pictures new technology) with friendly staff who are very accomodating via phone and in person. Highly recommend!

Dr B and team are the best. Not only are they highly competent, but they show that they care about each patient. The incentives they use to get the kids to do their part (dental hygiene, etc.) are fun and effective. Every step of the way, communication and planning are excellent, from initial consultation to the send-off with a "celebration" when you're getting the braces off. Dr B is community oriented, he even allows the patient to choose a charity that Dr B will donate to in the patient's name. I really can't say enough, Dr B and the team make the patient feel like family. I highly recommend Dr. B. He and his team are just good people.

My daughter recently got her braces off here. I would totally recommend this orthodontist to others who need braces! Great service and great results! Everything was done very professionally. I had an amazing time at Bruzzichesi Orthodontics. They not only completely straightened my teeth but fixed my overbite as well. On top of that, the whole process only took a little over a year! My smile has never looked better! Dr. Bruzzichesi is one of the nicest, most compassionate doctors I have ever had. He is extremely personal and cares for each of his patients. He made sure my experience was the best it could be and answered any questions I had during the entire process. I strongly recommend him for your orthodontist needs!
