At Brush Pediatric Dentistry;, we look forward to helping you care for your childs precious smile. As recommended by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Mira Albert encourages parents to bring their children in six months after the arrival of their first tooth or by their first birthday. Then, as your children grow and develop, we hope to instill in them good dental habits and hygiene. We want Brush Pediatric Dentistry; to be the dental home you know you can call for everything from routine visits to emergency care.

Not only do we want each visit to be educational, but we also do our best to ensure your kids actually have fun when theyre with us. We have a bright, colorful creative area for your kids to play around in, and our waiting area is filled with games and movies for older kids (and to keep you parents entertained, as well). Please take our online office tour to see the cheery, kid-friendly atmosphere Dr. Albert has worked so hard to design for her young patients.

Dr. Albert has also developed a special language that she uses to communicate with children. She has a fun word to replace almost every word that might elicit fear or apprehension in your children, and we recommend you, as parents, do the same. Together, we can make your children's dental visits fun. We believe it is your child's right to understand exactly what is happening, but we want to always communicate this in an age-appropriate manner. Let's not use the word shot, talk about pulling teeth, or mention needles. We make it a habit of using words that convey the truth about what is happening while using pleasant, non-frightening language. Dr. Albert will also explain complex procedures one step at a time to keep children from becoming overwhelmed by too many concepts at once.

Dr. Mira Albert founded Brush Pediatric Dentistry in 2011 and has assembled an incredible team of providers to bring a fresh approach to your family's pediatric dental needs. She is a board-certified pediatric dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is a Fellow and National Spokesperson of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and an examiner for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also on staff and maintains privileges at the Department of Surgery Division of Dentistry of the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.

Dr. Albert has over a decade of experience in the specialty of pediatric dentistry. She is heavily involved in her profession and lectures to other physicians and dentists about various topics. She regularly gives back to her community and volunteers her time to help children that may not have access to pediatric dental homes.

She obtained a BA in psychology and then earned her DDS in 2004, both from the University of Michigan. Dr. Albert then completed a two year hospital residency in pediatric dentistry before earning her master's degree in Oral Sciences from the University of Illinois in Chicago. Her research focus was infant oral health care, and as part of her training, she took hospital calls where she responded to a variety of dental emergencies and traumas, from chipped teeth to severe damage.

Dr. Albert began the first year of her career as the director of a UIC-affiliated dental clinic she helped establish on the south side of Chicago. The clinics mission was to serve children with limited access to dental care. She has been a pediatric dentist in private practice since 2006.

Dr. Albert treats very young children, those with special needs, and kids with complex dental issues both in the office and in the operating room of Lurie's Children's Hospital of Chicago. She finds great joy in helping families set the stage for a life-long commitment to oral health in a friendly and approachable manner.

Her favorite part about being a pediatric dentist is seeing the pride a child gains after learning the skills to cope with what can sometimes be a difficult situation. She sincerely looks forward to meeting you and your children and watching them grow alongside her own kids.

Dr. Lynna Gripentrog is a board certified pediatric dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She has also been appointed to the Department of Surgery Division of Dentistry of the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.

Dr. Lynna received specialized training in pediatric dentistry at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Childrens Hospital of Chicago. She understands the value of a team approach in dentistry. During her two year hospital based residency, she provided dental treatment for physically, mentally, and medically complex patients. She worked with other dental specialists as part of the craniofacial team to provide guidance for patients and their families, and she worked closely with an orthodontist to provide phase I orthodontic treatment. Additionally, she provided emergency care for patients with dental trauma.

Prior to her residency, Dr. Lynna received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Southern Illinois University in Alton, IL, and she completed her BS in Psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Her goal is to make each childs experience at the dental office a positive one. She firmly believes every child is unique and that their dental visits should meet their respective needs. For her, the most rewarding part of pediatric dentistry is watching kids grow and develop positive habits that have lifelong impacts.

Such a great place to bring kids for their first dentist appointment. My toddlers loved going there and I'm so happy I went with Brush!

Super happy with our first visit at Brush! I had a lot of mom-guilt for not having prepped my toddler enough for her first dental visit. However, the staff, dental hygienist and dentist were all very kind, patient and accommodating in creating a positive experience for my also anxious kiddo. Love the plan they've set up as we navigate x-rays for our next visit in 6 months. Thank you Brush for helping this nervous mama out!

We took our two year daughter here and was expecting a full blown meltdown. We got the complete opposite! It was so child centered and 100% welcoming. My daughter was so comfortable the whole exam and was met with nothing but kind words and smiles from the staff. I can't recommend them enough for little ones!

This place is wonderful! The staff is warm and welcoming. My girls loved seeing their names on a sign welcoming them to the office. Overall, a great dental experience! Thank you!

After waiting two months to see the dentist, my 3 yo was apparently not good enough with directions to take proper X-rays so the solution was to wait another 3 months for his cavity to become much worse so we can see it. How insane is that?

Well-oiled machine of an office. Dr. Alberts is THE SWEETEST. She is smart, caring, gentle but firm, and helps kids through the use of imagination. I hear all the other docs are just as fabulous!
