Dentistry actually runs in Dr. Kuans family his dad had a dental office (first started by his grandfather) that he spent some time working in during his college years and for a little while after graduation. While in his junior year of college, Dr. Kuan realized that he didnt want to ignore his love of science and changed his major from computer science to biology. Dentistry just felt like the perfect fit, and over a decade later, hes happy to have been right about that!
After graduating from San Jose State with his undergraduate degree, Dr. Kuan pursued his doctorate at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, completing the only three-year dental program in the country! Today, he has a particular interest in creating natural-looking restorative work like fillings and dental crowns as well as performing extractions. He regularly attends continuing education courses on these topics so that his skills are constantly improving.
Dr. Kuan is the oldest of three and has two younger sisters, one of whom is a high school teacher while the other works as a chiropractor. He met his wife Diana in Dallas, and shes also a dentist. They have an Australian Shepard/Border Collie mix named Gracie at home. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with his lovely wife, cooking, eating meals with family and friends, and listening to music. Hes always up for checking out new bands in live venues!
Dr. Lam is originally from Atlanta, and his career in dentistry spans over seven years so far. He loves being able to help his patients achieve better oral health and lasting, confident smiles here at Brush Dental! He completed his undergraduate degree at Emory University before pursuing his dental doctorate at Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston.
Outside of the dental office, Dr. Lam is happily married with two young daughters. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, fiddling with computers, and fishing. Hes also a blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do!

I used to never go to the dentist because of my anxiety. I no longer get anxiety since going to brush dental. The staff and dentist are so friendly and take their time and always make me comfortable. Now I go every three months and my teeth are so much healthier.

Great staff!! Clean and very friendly with a play area for children. I love that they call to remind me of appointments. Also never have had issues with any work done to me or my children.

Staff was Amazing! Everyone that took care of my children's teeth were gentle and didn't rush us through. They explained to us everything going on with their teeth and instructed us how to prevent such things from happening. Love Brush Dental! Will recommend this place to friends and family in the area.

I have been coming here for about 7+ years and have enjoyed each visit and still love coming here even since we have moved from the area. They are awesome with my kids and the kids love coming here. They know that they will only get treated for what is needed in order to keep their mouth clean... not for what the office can charge the Insurance.

Needed some emergency dental care on very short notice. I called five dentists before Brush, and they were the first ones to pick up. The frost desk staff was amazing and patient. Dr. Kuan was very kind and helped me explore treatment options, as well as gave recommendations for pain management until I can get my problem fixed. Dr. Kuan, when examining my issue, was careful and didn't try to poke at anything that was sensitive a second time. He went over the X-rays with me in a manner that was easy to understand. He and the hygienist were both very sensitive to my nerves and my pain. All of the staff was stellar, everyone was following safety protocols, and the office was clean.

I Took my children here until I noticed that every visit they would have the exact amount of cavities that the insurance would cover. Every visit both children had 2 cavities each after the 4th visit I found a new dentist. Children haven't had any cavities since and some how the 2 they had at brush dental that I refused to let them fill healed themselves after 6 months of finding a new dentist. BEWARE of the INSURANCE SCAMS
