Dr. Krista is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. After graduating in 2002 from dental school, she accepted a position with Capital City Family Health Center in Baton Rouge until opening Bruns Family Dental Center in 2003.
Dr. Bennett-Bruns is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry. She is also a volunteer for the Special Olympics Special Smiles program and the ADAs Give Kids a Smile program. She volunteered for several years with Rotary International and Louisiana State University School of Dentistry to perform dental mission trips to needy children and adults in Jamaica. While at Louisiana State University, she was a member of Delta Sigma Delta dental society.
Dr. Bennett-Bruns is a graduate of Parkview Baptist School in Baton Rouge, Southeastern Louisiana University, and attended one year of graduate school at University of New Orleans where she studied Cellular and Molecular Biology. While at Southeastern Louisiana University, she was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority, Gamma Bet Phi Honor Society, Delta Omega Alpha Pre-professional society, and was a volunteer for The American Red Cross in Metairie.
Dr. Robert E. Bruns, IV is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. Dr. Bruns began practicing in Kenner, Louisiana in 1999 and opened Bruns Family Dental Center in 2003. In addition, Dr. Bruns held a part-time faculty position at Louisiana State University School of Dentistry from 1999-2003. He was also an officer in the Louisiana National Guard.

Britta is from Central City, Louisiana but now resides in Walker with her husband, Jeff, son Garret, and dogs, Roscoe and Rose. Her oldest son, Travis and daughter-in-law, Hannah live nearby and visit often with their grand-dogs! She graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing and was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority and Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society. Britta has several years of healthcare-related experience and has been with Bruns Family Dental Center since November 2006. She is also certified in CPR and Basic Life Support. She also owns a bridal shop for curvy brides in Denham Springs, Chosen a Bridal Boutique.
'I enjoy watching LSU football and baseball. My time off work is spent watching Garret play football, going to football camps, hanging out Travis and Hannah and working at my bridal boutique, Chosen Bridal. When I can, I love reading and watching movies.'
'I enjoy being part of a fantastic, family-oriented dental practice. My time away from the office is filled with shopping, fishing, socializing, traveling and spending quality time with my family. I also enjoy riding motorcycles with my significant other, William, and his motorcycle club, The Nubian Kruzers.'
Brittany graduated from Live Oak High School in Watson, Louisiana in 2003. She went on to graduate from Louisiana State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene and has since been an important part of the Bruns Family Dental Center Team. She is certified in CPR and Basic Life Support, and she is trained to administer general anesthesia.
'While in college, I was an LSU cheerleader and am still an avid Tiger fan! In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, David, our son, Carter, daughter, Ella, and our dog, Rascal. We love to travel when time permits. Dental hygiene was always a goal for me, and I enjoy my career helping people obtain good oral health.'
Stephanie is originally from Buras, Louisiana. She graduated from Buras High School in 2003 and Eastern College of Health Vocations in 2004. She has been with Bruns Family Dental Center since October 2006. In May 2008, she received her Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) certification. In June 2009, she became the first Certified Dental Designer for the E4D CAD/CAM machine in the entire state of Louisiana. This allows us to make most dental crowns in-office, and in many cases, offer the patient a same-day delivery. To ensure patient safety, Stephanie is also certified in CPR and Basic Life Support.
Jennifer is a 2009 graduate of Ascension College and has been a dental assistant at Bruns Family Dental Center since October 2009. In January 2010, she received her Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (EDDA) certification. In March 2013 she became the 5th certified Dental Designer in Louisiana for the E4D CAD/CAM machine in order to fabricate same-day crowns for our patients. She is also certified in CPR and Basic Life Support. She married her husband Will in an intimate cruise ceremony in 2019.
'I take pride being a part of this ethical practice. In my spare time I rally for the American Cancer Society and volunteer with several nonprofit organizations. I enjoy trying new foods, live music and ATV rides.
In addition to earning her Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) certification, Erica is certified in CPR and Basic Life Support. She has welcomed a beautiful new addition to her family, her daughter, Sydney.

Around September of 2021, the dentist suggested a filling I didn't need. Then proceeded to botch said filling. I had to go through the holiday season in excruciating pain. I went back 2 more times to try and repair the tooth, each time was with a different dentist. I finally cut my losses and found another dentist office, who re-did the filling and resolved my issue.

Totally botched a re-filling and left me with severe sensitivity and pain . On a follow up visit, 2nd one because of my issues, I was told that the nerve "was angry " and need some time and may never get better. ? Then I was given a referral to one of their buddies for a root canal. Well it was fine before the heavy handed hygienist and the deep 6 drilling dentite got a hold of it. I was left to wait it out through the holidays. Imagine not being able to enjoy all the great food and beverages during the most wonderful time of the year. They are obviously at fault for my situation. I was even sent a follow up survey to which I expressed my situation and displeasure, no follow up because they don't care. He should take my mouths word for it and do the right thing and fix it. What fun that will be.... the only way to fix this now is a root canal. My family and I have been patients for over a year. Why would I continue expose my children to such unnecessary torture?? After seeing another Dentist, X-ray reveals a pocket in my new filling. Shortly after posting this review I received an email of concern (CYA letter) from Bruns Family Dental.

I have had never had such a pleasant experience at the dentist. From speaking with Debra -who scheduled my appointment to David- at the front desk who helped me get paperwork and insurance handled, to Brittany-my hygienist who was quick and gentle, and the lady who seated me with a smile and friendly conversation, to Dr. Bruns who was very thorough and explained everything in laymens terms. I will definitely be back.

I called to request to come in & speak with Dr R Bruns (for 5-10 mins) regarding the procedures that he suggested for me during my previous visit. I was told by the office manager that "he's too busy to speak with patients." Very unprofessional.

I called to request a cleaning being that I was overdue. I explained to the staff that I had just had a full set of X-rays about 8 months ago at another dental office and I just wanted a cleaning and the opportunity to visit the office to see if I'd like to be an establishment patient there. I'm pregnant and I didn't want any X-rays at this time. I was cutoff and told they don't do things that way. I would need a full work up. Obviously patients dental health isn't there top priority.

I love Bruns! I have been going there for over 10 years, and they have always been helpful, caring, and family-oriented. Their staff is super friendly, very capable, and well-organized.. You get in, and get out.. Done >>>All the time, thinking you are around friends . They do a great job and I would recommend them to anyone..
