Since the fifth grade, Dr. Casey Bruhn knew he wanted to be a dentist. After attending Honors College at Michigan State University, he attended dental school at University of Michigan. He then returned to his hometown in Grand Haven to become an associate dentist at the family and cosmetic dental office he now owns.Dr. Bruhn founded his practice in 1996.
Dr. Bruhns mentor had a mercury-free, patient-first philosophy to dentistry. And the present is similar to the past the same consistent service, with an eye on advancing technology when its certain to improve quality personalized care for you. Not just when its available.
Marcies welcoming smile will be the first thing to greet you when you arrive in our office. As the office manager, she is responsible for day-to-day operations as well as making sure that every patients needs are met. Marcie joined our office eight years ago after thirty-five years of managing a pharmacy. She handles all of the responsibilities with a high level of expertise, care and professionalism.
Susan is our newest employee, she has been with us for nearly six years. She has been a hygienist for over 25 years after graduating from GRCC. She comes from a dental practice in Holland where she had worked 23 years for her previous employer until his retirement. Her friendly personality will have you felling instantly at ease. Susan is focused on patient care and patient education. She absolutely loves what she does and strives to provide a positive experience for every patient.
Rachelle has been with our office for nineteen years. You may see her at the front desk or helping Dr Bruhn with necessary procedures. She provides expert care for each patient and helps keep the schedule running smoothly. Whenever Rachelle is working your needs will be met with professionalism.
Barbs high level of care and dental expertise will have you feeling comfortable and confident from the moment you arrive. Barb has been in our office for 29 years and she truly enjoys building relationships with our patients and helping them better understand and improve their dental health. Barb has been in dental hygienist for 39 years since graduating from the University of Michigan.
Barb has been assisting Dr. Bruhn with all of the necessary procedures for the past 19 years. She provides expert care for each patient and her attention to detail is vital. She is very efficient and keeps the schedule running smoothly. Patients love Barbs warm friendly personality.
A preventative dental cleaning in which dental tools and polishing procedures are used to remove plaque, tartar and stains above the gumline. Dr Bruhn and our hygienists recommend a professional dental cleaning at least twice a year.
Dr. Bruhn will examine your gum issue, looking for signs of periodontal disease, an oral cancer screening and the condition of your teeth. When he exams your teeth, he will look for small cracks and structural flaws, signs of excessive wear from teeth grinding or tooth-on-tooth contact and external signs of decay.
A dental crown is a replacement tooth or restoration which is designed to repair and strengthen a cracked, worn down or broken tooth. The crown can protect your tooth from further trauma. During root canal therapy, the pulp is removed, and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed.

I have been going to Dr. Bruhn's office since I was a toddler! I see Barb the hygienist every time I go there. I have a dentist phobia and she makes me feel a little bit more at ease. They always offer me the "laughing gas" and keep talking throughout the cleaning/procedure process. I am not scared to tell them when it is painful or uncomfortable. Both Barb and Dr. Bruhn go above and beyond to make sure you're as comfortable as they can make you. Marcie at the front desk is great and is always so kind and prompt to reply to any emails you send her. Getting cavities filled isn't even a stressful situation for me anymore because of how gentle and professional Barb (Dr Bruhn's assistant) and Dr. Bruhn are. He explains what he is doing and makes sure you are doing okay multiple times throughout the process. I LOVE this dentist office and I will be a patient until Dr. Bruhn and his team retire (I drive from GR to visit them)! Thank you Dr. Bruhn and team!! :)

I just moved to the area and had a dental emergency. On recommendation, I called up Dr. Bruhn's office. I've had some.. less-than-great experiences with dentists in the past and so am generally anxious at the dentist office. But no need here - The staff and Dr. Bruhn were great. This was the most any dentist had communicated with me about what was happening and why and what to expect as a result. The next day I had an issue with my bite (he'd said this might happen) and I called them up. I went back to their office literally as soon as I hung up the phone and he fixed it in 15 minutes. I'll definitely be back and absolutely recommend Dr. Bruhn.

Dr. Bruhn is a great dentist. He is very caring and thorough. He does great dental work, and as someone with a terrible phobia about needles and shots, I particularly appreciate that he takes the time necessary to numb my gums and gas my anxiety . I have been coming to this office twice a year for decades. All of the dental hygienists are friendly, thorough and do a great job with my cleanings. Dr. Bruhn always has a nice chat with me as he does the check-up. I have always appreciated how clean all the rooms and equipment are. He and his staff were using gloves during all procedures, even before it was the norm. I have never questioned the sanitary conditions here. We have worked through the replacement of some old metal fillings through the past few years. I can honestly say that regardless of my phobias, I have never been upset or felt that my anxiety was belittled or ignored in any way. He does everything to make me feel as comfortable as possible during the procedure. The new fillings look great, and I've had no problems with them. I highly recommend Dr. Bruhn' s office for your family's dental needs.
