Dr. Robert Castracane, one of only 462 Diplomates of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry in the USA, is truly drawn to two things, and likely for the same reason. He loves the wide-open thrills of downhill skiing, and performing dental implant surgery. One is his past time, the other, his passion. Both require incredible precision and attention to detail, and that inspires his true expertise in implant dentistry.

He is one of only 400 dentists worldwide to be recognized by the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry as a Diplomate. The Diplomate designation signifies the highest level of competence in implant dentistry. Similarly, Dr. Castracane is a recognized Diplomate by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the worlds largest dental implant organization. Its sole purpose is to provide the highest quality education so that dentists can better serve their patients. Hes even a Fellow at the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Many factors contribute to teeth yellowing. The foods you eat and drink, certain medications, and age might all be contributing factors. Surface stains on the enamel of your teeth from drinks like tea, coffee, and red wine, can make your teeth appear yellowish. Tobacco and smoking are also significant causes.

In either instance, the whitening solution is not harmful to put in your mouth and on your teeth. The only discomfort you may experience is temporary tooth and gum sensitivity from the bleaching agents.

Your dental professional will cover your gums and lips to protect them from the solution. The trays are filled with the whitening gel and a unique LED lamp is positioned over your teeth. You sit back and relax as the bleach and light work together to whiten your teeth for three 15-minute treatments in a single visit.

Between treatments, you wait comfortably, and after the last bleaching treatment, your dental expert covers your teeth in a post-treatment gel to reduce any sensitivity you might have after the whitening. Thats all. Your teeth are whiter, and your smile is brighter in about two hours.
