Bruce Orthodontics is a Rhinelander, Minocqua/Woodruff, Eagle River, Phillips, Marshfield, WI based family orthodontic practice that treats patients of all ages. Dr. Joshua Bruce is a board-certified orthodontist and a member of the American Orthodontics Association and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. He is a highly skilled orthodontist with advanced dental training. He possesses the highest qualifications and is extremely well skilled in all phases of orthodontic treatment, and strives for excellence to ensure you will receive the best care possible.

He earned his DDS in 2010 from the University of Oklahoma, where he graduated salutatorian of his class. In 2011, he spent an additional year completing advanced dental training at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry Advanced Education in General Dentistry. He went on to orthodontic residency where he earned his Masters in Orthodontics at Saint Louis University Center for Advanced Dental Education Orthodontics and graduated in 2013. After completing my orthodontic residency, Dr. Bruce worked as an associate orthodontist in New Mexico and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics in March 2015.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Bruce has won many academic honors and awards, including the Outstanding Student Leadership Award in the College of Dentistry; the Shillingburg-Brasseler Award for Excellence in Restorative Dentistry; the International College of Dentist Student Leadership Award; and the Pierre Fauchard Academy Dental Student Scholarship Award for outstanding leadership, integrity, initiative, imagination and communication skills.

Dr. Bruce was born and raised in Wichita, KS and is the third oldest of twelve children. In his spare time, Dr. Bruce loves cooking, acting, artwork (such as sculpture and woodworking), photography, writing, and gardening. He also loves hiking and exploring the outdoors. He strives to stay active in the Northwoods community and looks forward to being involved in all the local areas that he serves.

We try to make braces fun by giving rewards for everything from having good hygiene and not breaking brackets to sharing pictures on social media and wearing rubber bands. We provide patterns of colored ties for all the kids and tell lots of funny jokes. Our office is always full of smiles!

I help Dr. Bruce with every unique case, and assist with removing and placing wires, taking impressions, and pouring models. I also help as a lab tech and take turns answering the phones, or scanning files into the computer.
