A Woodstock, IL native, Dr. Walter Farris graduated with his Bachelors degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and later received his Masters degree in Biotechnology from Rush University in Chicago. Dr. Farris went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine-Illinois. In dental school, he was inducted into the National Dental Honors Society (Omicron Kappa Upsilon) for excellence in academics, character, and professionalism. Dr. Farris is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS) and the Chicago Dental Society (CDS).
Dr. Farris believes in a patient-centered approach to dentistry by promoting a relaxed and comfortable experience. He is committed to empowering his patients with education about their oral health and encourages his patients to become active participants in their treatment. Dr. Farris believes that a commitment to oral health is important for overall health. In his free time, Wally likes trying new restaurants around Chicagoland with his wife, Megan. They also enjoy getting outdoors together to exercise with their dog, Mavis. He is a devoted Chicago sports fan and also enjoys board games and karaoke.
Dr. Bruce Farris a lifelong resident of Woodstock, IL. He graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and graduate coursework in Molecular Biology. Dr. Farris received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from University of Illinois Dental School in 1987. He was a member the Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity and a faculty/student liaison during his time training at U of I. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS), the Chicago Dental Society (CDS) and the McHenry County Dental Society.
Dr. Farris takes great pride in getting to know his patients and has been providing a comfortable dental experience for his patients for over 30 years. When he isnt treating patients, Bruce enjoys playing keyboard in his classic rock cover band and contributing to the running community in Woodstock. Bruce also serves on the District 200 School Board and the City of Woodstock Parks and Recreation Commission.

I started coming here when I was a kid, and I wouldn't go anywhere else! I love the staff and honesty here. Super upfront about what's going on with my teeth. I honestly look forward to seeing everyone here! I can't say any other office would make me laugh as much. Thank you guys!

Dr. Walter Farris and his team were exceptional!! I'm very secure knowing there is such strong dentistry expertise in Woodstock. I recently moved here and had an emergency with a tooth implant that came loose. There were so many intricate little details that Dr. Farris took into consideration and he and his staff even stayed late to care for every detail. Grateful and thankful I have found a true dentist with knowledge, compassion, modern technology and top training. Thank you Dr. Walter Farris! Me and my family will forever be your new patients.

Filled cavities well but didn't communicate with me to let me know what was going on, only that I had a cavity and needed to come back repeatedly. He prescribed a prescription toothpaste that was too harsh, and caused staining to my teeth. That would have been fine if it weren't for the fact that when I came back for fillings instead of considering the prescription, I was told the staining was due to bad dental hygiene. Also, I wasn't a fan of the dental hygienist I had. She made a comment that I wasn't brushing my teeth enough, but also said they're too big because I brush too hard.

My father recommended Dr. Farris to me but I was hesitant because the office is an hour away however it's worth the drive. Great experience all around and I'm happy to make the trip again
