Dr. Ilya Bruce has been practicing dentistry in Los Angeles since 2001. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California Los Angeles in 1996. He then attended New York University College of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2000.

The dentist is great, very gentle, and good at making sure you're comfortable. The staff is very efficient, I have never waited in the waiting room for longer than 5 minutes. The only reason they get 4/5 stars is because there is no dedicated free parking for this building. You have to resort to street parking (not many spaces available) or use the medical building parking and pay.

An impressive first experience with your office. After not being to the dentist in over 10 years, I really appreciated that no one shamed or guilted me, and jumped right in to talking through how to help me get back on track. Every staff member was so positive, efficient, friendly, and did a quality job cleaning my teeth. Throughout the services they continually checked in with me to make sure I was comfortable--can't express the customer service level enough. The lobby and area was also very clean and nicely designed. They made it very easy to setup a follow up appointment. Thank you! And see you next month! I've already signed up my husband to come here.

Dr. Nancy Ho is a fantastic dentist. She is very skilled, professional and personable. I am always impressed at her level of skill in dentistry. She has made two crowns for me that fit perfectly, there is no feeling of discomfort or a change in my "bite". Her ability, positive personality and her friendly staff make a visit to Dr. Nancy's office a pleasurable experience.

no one "loves" going to the dentist but they make it almost enjoyable! very friendly, short wait times and they take the time to explain the procedures/prices beforehand! of course $12 parking in the garage is a bit steep so will have to explore nearby side streets

I had an appointment with Dr. Bruce on September 9th and they called the day before to reschedule it. I rescheduled it and show up to my appointment in the middle of the work day and they let me know upon arrival, when they could have called in advance, and let me know my insurance is maxed out. The reason my insurance is maxed out is because they were billing Dr. Arshjot Ahuja instead of Dr. Bruce. This made my claim be out of network instead of in network. My insurance has called the office multiple times asking them to fix it. I assumed they did prior to my appointment since they did not mention anything to me. The front desk lady pretty much said its too much paperwork and they aren't going to do it. Not only has this cost me money in the past (unknowingly because until I called my insurance asking why I had back claims I owed I had no idea they were billing under the wrong dentist) but now I wasted my time again today. Although Dr. Bruce is an amazing dentist his incompetent staff have forced me to find a new dentist.

From my first dental cleaning to my most recent one I have been team Dr. Bruce dental all the way! They are fully transparent and keep me at ease. I tell Dr. Bruce all the time that I always look forward to my visit because they take such good care of me! How many people actually say that they enjoy going to the dentist?! I am one of them and will be a lifelong customer!

This is about my most recent experience at Bruce Dental, specifically about my treatment under Dr. Nancy (not sure on spelling) who was filling in for Dr. Bruce while he was out of the office. First, I had to wait for almost 15 minutes by myself before she came to do the post-cleaning evaluation. I asked the dental hygienist how much longer she was going to be and after speaking with her, he told me it could possibly be another 10-15 minutes on top of the time I had already spent waiting! I was never given a reason as to why there was a delay and I did not see her with any other patients. After I told him that I was considering just leaving, she finally came out, didn't even look at my X-rays, and spent a few seconds poking around before declaring that I had a cavity by rubbing some black stuff on her glove and saying that was the decay. Okay, fair enough, I have a cavity but showing it to me on your glove? Her "bedside" manner, delivery, and tone had a lot to be desired. I was so frustrated by this experience that I immediately sought out a 2nd opinion. Lo and behold, there was the cavity she saw... plus 3 others in between my teeth that my new dentist said could only be seen by reviewing my X-rays, which Dr. Nancy did not do. As an aside, I asked the office to forward my records and they said they would. Unfortunately, my new dentist told me they never received them so I had to pay $150 out of pocket for new pictures. Overall, a very annoying experience that has sadly colored my previously positive experiences with this office.
