Edward K. Brown Jr. DDS, D.Med.Sc is a graduate of Harvard School of DentalMedicine in Boston where he completed a 6 year Post-Doctoral Fellowship and aDoctorate of Medical Sciences in Oral Biology. He received his specialty training in thearea of prosthodontics with a focus on Implants, crowns, bridges, dentures and TMJdisease. Dr. Browns multi-specialty practice is nestled in the Chevy Chase neighborhoodof upper northwest Washington, D.C., two blocks south of Chevy Chase Circle and a 4 block walk from the Mazza Gallery and the Friendship Heights Metro station.Brown Prosthodontics serves a highly diverse community.
Dr. Brown and hisstaff speak Spanish, Portuguese and French. Dr. Browns extensive training has affordedhim the ability to provide a high level of skill in both basic and complex procedures. Hetakes great pride in making his patients feel comfortable and relaxed during their dental procedures with his chair side manner. The clinicians at Brown Prosthodontics performgeneral dentistry procedures including natural tooth color fillings, crowns, deepcleanings, root canals, extractions, Invisalign orthodontics as well as more specializedand complex treatment regiments. Dr. Brown also sees childrenof all ages.
Dr. Edward K. Brown Jr. received his BA in Biology from La Salle University then continued on to the Howard University College of Dentistry where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Additionally, he completed an advanced education(specialty) program in Prosthodontics and received a Doctorate of Medical Sciences in Oral biology at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation from Howard University College of Dentistry Dr. Brown received the prestigious Scholars in Research award. During his time at Harvard for his dissertation he developed the first complete denture application (Interactive Complete Denture Syllabus iCDS) tailored for both dentists and dental students, focusing on the theory and fabrication of complete dentures.
His research efforts were recognized at the annual meeting of The American Prosthodontic Society for his innovative approach to learning. He is a member of the Academy of Osseointegration, the American College of Prosthodontists and the American Dental Association, National Dental Association, Hispanic Dental association. The International Association of Dental Research. Dr. Brown is also a member of the Delta Dental Professional Advisory Board of Massachusetts.

Dr. Brown is absolutely one of the best doctors I have seen. He is attentive, caring and extremely professional. His staff is friendly and accommodating, and you feel like family the moment you step into the door. I highly recommend D. Brown's services.

There are so many great things to be said about Dr. Brown and the professionals at Brown Prosthodontics. If I had to pinpoint one thing about the experience, it would be that I feel involved in the process. Questions and feedback are encouraged and every step taken is clearly defined and explained. Going to the dentist can be stressful, Dr. Brown minimizes that stress throughout the process, and I now have the smile I had when I was 20 years old. I know this because I gave them a photo to show what I wanted... and it was delivered beautifully.

Dr. Brown is a great professional. He customizes his approach for each patient which is very important to me since I have difficulties with pain. I have never experienced pain during my treatments. I love it! He takes time to explain the findings and all steps of treatment so I can be prepared and know exactly what's going on. He understands Portuguese which is a plus since I am Brazilian.
