Dr. Scott was born and raised in Cedar City Utah, where he graduated from Cedar High School. He attended Southern Utah University where he earned a BS degree in Accounting with minors in Business Administration and Chemistry. He went on to earn his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska in 1991. Dr. Scott has practiced General, Cosmetic, and Implant dentistry in Cedar City for over 25 years and considers his patients some of his most treasured friends. Dr. Scott is passionate and committed to providing his patients outstanding dental care at a reasonable fee, and strives to stay current with the latest, most up-to-date procedures, techniques, and materials. Dr. Scott is a member of the American Dental Association, and the Utah Dental Association, where he attends several courses and seminars each year. Dr. Scott receives great satisfaction restoring and improving his patients smiles. Dr. Scott is a member of the board of directors for the Professional Insurance Exchange, an insurance company that insures over ninety percent of the dentists in Utah. Dr. Scott is a member of the Pierre Fauchardnational dental honor society. Dr. Scott and his wife Leah have six children Ashley, Randall (Katrina), Blake, Mitchell, Calvin, and Carson. They enjoy swimming, boating, trap shooting, hunting, and time together on the mountain.

Half of the time I have needed to get ahold of somebody there nobody would answer the phone. There is virtually 0 transparency when it comes to cost. When I asked how much a procedure would cost I was quoted one price that seemed rather manageable. Only to have that just be the quote for 1st thing not the entire process. $200 to basically talk to a dentist for 10 minutes as a consultation then a referral. Operating under the assumption that they are the paid professional and know their business I follow the referral and go through with the procedure. Mid way through the process I find out that there is additional bills for the same thing just later on in the process. After everything was all said and done I found that I was charged nearly 5 times the amount as I could have the exact same service provided elsewhere (still in southern Utah). All in I ended up spending over $5000 (after insurance... ) on a procedure that can be done all in between $1000 - $1500. I dont know how their basic routine stuff is and I dont ever plan on finding out. My advice. If you need anything more than basic cleaning done push really hard about the actual cost of things up front and shop around. You can make a lot of trips to st george for $4,000 difference. Even with these crazy gas prices.

Dr Brown is the best! They all are. I've been coming here since I was a kid. Dr Greg pulled all my wisdom teeth, and 7 baby teeth that weren't falling out so that I could get braces. He and Dr Scott and Dr Shawn are all kind and caring and very very talented. They are not in it for the money - they are in it for the people. They will not tell you that you have a cavity just because they want to make money off of you. You can absolutely trust what they tell you. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Brown dental is the G.O.A.T.

Everyone has been so kind at my visits to Brown Dental. I had a cleaning done by Joelle and it was the most thorough well done cleaning I've ever had done in my life. She was so kind and knowledgeable. I would recommend everyone go to Brown Dental just to see her. I loved my experience and look forward to my next appointment!

I am very happy with my experience here and will continue to come to this office. After a rough experience elsewhere, Dr. Scott made it right. He listened to my concerns, gave me several options, and let me choose what was best for me given the circumstances. He is very thorough and dedicated to doing his best. He seems to genuinely care about his patients. He has a calm and gentle approach which I am very grateful for. I highly recommend this office!

Brown Dental is the best. I love that they can get my boys and I in at the same time so regular appointments for all 3 of us take less than 1 hour. Plus they are all so good with my kids. Very thorough check ups and jobs well done.

The office staff was amazing and Dr. Brown was there to help me. After reviewing my x-rays, it was determined that I did not need a crown. I appreciated this because it saved me money on a procedure I did not need. What a great dentist.
