I am blessed to work with such wonderful patients. Our office is truly a family and all of our patients are welcomed into this family. We share in their lives, celebrating in their accomplishments, special occasions, and happy times, as well as being there for them during difficult and challenging times. Being an orthodontist in the town of Rutherford has given me the opportunity to become part of the community.

I love what I do, but the patients I help each day are the real reason I feel so lucky. The people I meet and treat each day bring such rewards to my life. I love the challenge of diagnosing and treating a variety of orthodontic problems, and being able to use my analytical and artistic talents for the benefit of my patients by giving them a beautiful, functional smile.

I also consider myself very fortunate to love the people I work with. Its rare to find such a great combination of people from different backgrounds that mesh so well together. We truly have the best people working with us. They are caring, energetic, organized, really funny, and have the best interests of each and every patient at heart.

It is always my goal to offer my patients the newest and most innovative advancements in orthodontics. Whether Im studying a new imaging technique or implementing cutting-edge braces technology, continuing education enables me to integrate these advances with my years of experience to give patients the best aesthetic and functional result.

A native of Wayne, NJ, I am so happy to be back in my hometown community. My husband Dave and I have three children: twins Jack and Hunter, and our daughter Quincy. My free time is often spent cheering on my children at their sporting events, as well as running, skiing, practicing yoga and traveling.

I feel very lucky to be able to dedicate myself to both my patients and my family. There is nothing Id rather do more than balance my time between my family of orthodontic patients and time with my growing personal family. Whether it is my own children or the children in my practice, I love to watch them grow, mature, and reach their potential.

I absolutely love creating beautiful smiles for my patients. My favorite part is seeing the confidence my patients gain as their smile transforms. I chose to become an orthodontist initially because it integrates my interests in science and artistry, but over the years I have found that my true joy has come from the relationships I have with my patients. All patients bring with them a unique story, and it is so much fun to get to know many different people and personalities.

Before I became an orthodontist, I worked with children in a very different setting in the classroom! I taught elementary school and high school biology for six years. That experience has greatly enriched my skills as an orthodontist, especially in educating patients about hygiene and the importance of compliance during treatment.

During my orthodontic residency, I was trained with state of the art technology and the most current treatment techniques.In our practice, we uphold the same philosophy by staying current in the most up-to-date advancements. I regularly attend continuing education seminars and participate in study clubs to stay current in the latest techniques, including Invisalign, and innovative new treatment modalities such as Incognitolingual braces.

I grew up a true Southern girl in South Carolina, but I have transitioned happily into a city girl who loves New York City. My husband Ken and I live in Rutherford, and welove the feeling of community that abounds. We enjoy long walks with our goldendoodle Louisyoull see us walking all over town. I love to spend my free time taking in the cultural scene in New York City, including Broadway shows and museums, dining in amazing restaurants, exploring Central Park with Louis, or just simply people watching!

Dr. Cuomo earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from West Chester University and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Cuomo received her Degree of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry where she graduated Valedictorian of her 364 member class and was inducted into the Omega Chapter of the OKU Honor society.

She then went on to complete a three year post- doctoral specialty in Orthodontics at Columbia University, where she received her Masters degree in Science. Serving as chief resident, she gained some of the best training in the country when it comes to treating both children and adults.

Dr. Cuomo is an excellent orthodontist and is exceptionally trained in conventional orthodontics as well as clear aligner therapy. She received numerous awards throughout her 7 years of training, including the Dr. Edward G. Kaufman Award for Academic Excellence and the Cangialosi American Board Initial Certification of Scholarship. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, as well as the Northeastern Society of Orthodontics.

Outside of the office, Dr. Cuomo enjoys spending time in Hoboken where she lives with her husband, Michael, a fellow Bergen County native. She loves to spend her time traveling all over the world, reading, playing tennis and practicing yoga.

Tricia, our treatment coordinator and office manager, oversees all aspects of the practice, from practice financials to community outreach. With three children who were treated here, Tricia has first-hand experience with the excellent care our doctors provide. While her kids smiles are obviously her favorite, Tricia also loves seeing our patients smiles at the end of treatment. Outside of the office, Tricia loves exploring New York city, seeing Broadway shows, and shopping for the latest fashions

Trish is one of the friendly voices that will greet you when you call our office. From your first visit and throughout your treatment, she will help to make your experience a positive one. Trish is a native of North Arlington and spenttime getting to know us during orthodontic treatment for her children. She loves pampering her dogsSammi, Zoey, and Parkerand spending time with her family down the shore.

Rosie has been a dedicated member of our team since 1999. She is always smiling, whether she is assisting the doctors with procedures, presenting hygiene instructions to the patients, or translating for our Spanish-speaking patients. A patient ofour practice20 years ago, Rosie can relate to our patients personally, and understands many of their concerns. Rosie is a woman of many talents and passions: whether it is fundraising for a cause, performing Reiki on people in need, or travelling, she brings her energy and enthusiasm to all she does.

With many years of dental assisting experience, Carol joined our team in 2003. She works alongside our doctors assisting with orthodontic procedures, and she does an excellent job keeping our inventory in check. Carol feels very fortunate to work in such a positive, stress-free environment filled with so many beautiful smiles! At home, Carol is married with two children and two boxersBella and Champion. Her love for animals has led her to be a vegetarian for many years. She also likes going to the theater and the gym.

Maria began her career in a dental office before transferring her skills to the field of orthodontics. At our office, she assists with patient care in addition to taking X-rays and impressions. Working with her hands to create truly unique smiles is what makes Maria smile herself! Married with two grown sons, Maria is also a grandmother of two boys. She enjoys life and stays active by playing softball and volleyball.

Sara is a native of North Arlington. She graduated fromthe University of Bloomsburg, PA in 2013, and she graduated Fortis Institute in Wayne where she became a certified dental assistant (CDA/RDA).She is also certified in the National Academy of Sports and Medicine as a personal trainer and is certified to teach spinning classes. At our office she assists with patient care, taking x-rays, iTero scans and impressions. She loves the beach, going shopping, and her fur babies Sammi, Zoey, and Parker.

Aldona, a student at New Jersey Institute of Technology, has gained valuable experience assisting the doctors over the past few years, and hopes someday to become a dentist or orthodontist herself. She was a patient in our office not too long ago, so she relates well to our current patients. Her smiling face and upbeat attitude are always a pleasure to have around. Aldona also speaks fluent Polish!

Melissa has worked with us as an assistant for many years. She feels truly rewarded by the positive changes in our patients lives from their orthodontic treatment. Melissa does a great job making our patients feel like members of the family. A sports fan, Melissa loves to cheer on her New York Yankees, Giants, and Rangers.
